Evalina walked down the cobblestone streets of Vakkar, she looked over at the Bar that she had met Anthony in and scowled. Anthony had promised her the world and he had just up and left with no explination. She scowled harder and kicked a rock as she continued to walk. She couldn’t believe that he would do something like that, but at least she hadn’t completely fallen in love with the jerk. She continued to walk and decided to pull out her inventory book, since Jezebel had begun working it had taken a load off of Eva’s shoulders but she still enjoyed doing inventory. She wasn’t watching where she was going, just following the cobblestone path in her peripheral vision. She continued to walk only looking up once in a while before returning to go over numbers and items. The streets were buzzing with people who would avoid her when they saw her not paying attention. She continued to walk not seeing the pot hole in the street and tripped. Whoa! was all she managed to say before plopping face first into a puddle of slushy snow. Her book lay five feet away in the street and she just pushed up muttering to herself. Stupid pot hole… She adjusted her beanie and stood up to see her book wasn’t on the ground anymore.

Lorenzo really didn’t have any imminent need to be in Vakkar today. He had a bit of light shopping to do but he was really just here to enjoy the scenery. It had been awhile since he had been to this small town and he wondered how much it had changed since the last time he had been here. As he strolled down the cobblestone street he looked at all the shops and stores with mild interest, noting which stores had closed, changed, or anything of that sort. He passed by one store that was now apparently a book store that used to be a restaurant he very much enjoyed when he came here the last time and frowned. It really was a shame when things closed like that.
As he walked, he passed by a candy shop and the heavenly smell of chocolate wafted out as he passed. He had to have complete control of himself to keep from going in but as he passed and the smell faded, he was alright. He was in the middle of a strict detoxifying regime that wouldn’t allow him to have anything that wasn’t on his detailed list that he had prepared weeks before…chocolate was not on that list. As he thought about it, he couldn’t help but notice the woman walking towards him who seemed to trip on a hole in the ground. No one else seemed to notice her apparently, as no one was coming to her aid, so he figured he should. Walking a step or so faster he picked up the book that had slid in his direction and went to give her a hand up but she was already standing. Excuse me miss, I believe this is yours? He asked as he approached her, handing her book back to her.

Evalina was still scowling when looking at the ground for her book when she heard a mans voice and looked up and saw a man...not just a man, the sexiest looking man she had ever seen. She quickly changed her scowl to a smile and said, Oh! Yes. Thank you very much... She took the book from his hands before realizing she was still soaking wet. She quickly pulled her wand out and dried herself off. She tucked the book in her bag and said, I guess I should watch where I am going huh? She giggled a little and eyed the man, noting that he was tall, built and the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes on. She quickly looked away and pretended to adjust the book in her bag. Again thank you so much for your help. I was afraid I lost the book, which would be...uh...pretty bad I guess. She did an inward sigh, she sounded pathetic didn't she. She continued to smile and said, Uhm...heh...I'm Evalina Di Matteo. She held her hand out to him, And What can I call my hero? She felt really lame, but it was better flirt with a guy she was probably never going to see again, then walk away ashamed and embarrassed. She didn't want to jump the gun with this guy, and assume that he thought she was cute or pretty. Sorry, the fall must have muddled up my head. She brushed a stray bang from her face. She couldn't help but stare at him, he was so...classically handsome...no...he was drop dead gorgeous.

Lorenzo couldn’t help but notice her expression change drastically from somewhat of a frustrated scowl, he assumed because her book was no longer where it was before, to a smile that shone brighter than anything around them. She was a very beautiful woman, soggy wet or not, and he couldn’t help but notice that as she took her book back and thanked him for finding it. Oh no need to thank me miss, it was my pleasure. He said, giving her a charming smile that turned into a bit of a grin as she noticed how wet she was from the fall and pulled out her wand to dry herself off. He probably should have offered to do that for her, but she had thought of it before he had so he wasn’t going to stop her.
She seemed to be rather flustered by something, which Lorenzo assumed it was just from falling down in the middle of a crowded street, which would probably fluster anyone really, so it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. They really should fix some of these potholes around here, in bad weather like this they can be really dangerous. Lucky you just tripped and didn’t do something worse like twist your ankle. He said, looking around at the cobblestone road for a moment. It really was in need of some work, but he was sure there was no one around who was just going to volunteer to do something as tedious as repairing loose or missing cobblestones. It really was no trouble at all. If you don’t mind me asking though, what kind of book is that? I didn’t really look at it as I handed it to you, as that would be rude. Is it important? Well that was a dumb question…of course it was important or she wouldn’t care so much about losing it. He wasn’t really sure why he wasn’t thinking he words through completely before he said them like he normally would, but there had to be some sort of reason.
As she introduced herself and held her hand out to him to shake, he couldn’t help but smirk as she called him her hero. It really was a cute thing to say but he had never really considered himself a hero before so for her calling him one just for rescuing her book, it was a bit strange. He took her hand as she held it out, bending forward slightly to kiss it and look into her eyes as he introduced himself. My name is Lorenzo Mancelo…but you pretty lady can call me Enzo if you wish. He said, giving her another of his charming smiles.

Evalina returned Lorenzo's charming smile with one of her own. He was gorgeous, she couldn't stop looking at his eyes, they were a beautiful dark brown, and his lips, so full and...she bit her lip subconsciously. She couldn't stop looking at him for some reason, he was a very fine specimen of the male gender indeed. Oh. Well I still feel the need to thank you...I'd be very upset if I lost this book. She smiled at him and wanted to just rip his clothes off right here right now. When that thought came to her head she turned slightly pink and tried to push it out of her mind. She nodded when he mentioned the potholes in the roads, Yeah, they really should. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that's tripped on this pothole. She smiled when he said she was lucky that she had just tripped, Oh. If I had twisted my ankle...I just don't know what I would have done. I mainly walk and fly to get from point A to point B. She looked down at the pothole she tripped in and sighed, I'd come out here and fix the streets but I don't think I could do it all by myself... When he asked what the book was for she looked at him and smiled, Its my inventory book, I run the Apothecary in Rolige Byen, I have a little compulsion with numbers, I'm always going over the inventory stock and seeing what I need to order and how much it costs and what to do if I can't find a particular ingredient. She realized that she was just talking on and on and closed her mouth and gave him a little smile. When he took her hand and kissed it she felt a tingle of excitement run up and down her spine. He was a real gentleman, she thought men only did that in books. She smiled when he said what his name was and said, Enzo... She said it softly and let it roll off the tongue, she looked at him and then said, Are you from Italy? Are you of the Venice Mancelo's? She knew the last name was common, but the Venice Mancelo's had been good friends of her fathers when she was growing up. Oh. I'm sorry if I'm being nosy, its just I hardly ever meet other people from Italy here in Norway....It's kind of exciting... Her cheeks flushed again, she hoped that she wasn't being a nerd or something. She didn't want to let this man get away without at least getting to know him a bit.

Lorenzo couldn’t help but smile at her as she still felt the need to thank him for what he had did, no matter how small of a thing he might have done. It wasn’t a small thing to her though apparently, this book seemed to be very important to her to the point where she would be very upset without it, so he was glad he could lend a hand. Well, in that case you are most welcome. I’m glad I could be of help. He said with a smile. He noticed her blush slightly for a moment, although he had no idea why but he wasn’t going to ask because that would be rude of him. He wasn’t a rude person by any means, especially not around women, but when he was around his guy friends he did joke around like any normal guy would. I’m sure you’re not the only person who’s tripped on that pot hole, or one of the dozens of other ones around here, but no one is going to do anything about it, since I’m sure people have better things to do than go around fixing potholes all day. He said with a shrug. She was sweet for saying that she would fix the potholes if she could. Not many people would want to do such a tedious job unless they really had to. I would help you fixing the potholes, but I’m not from here and I travel a lot for my job so I really don’t know when I would find the time. He said with a slight frown, not because he couldn’t help fix the potholes, but because fixing the potholes with her would be a good chance to get to see her again.
When she told him what the book was, he couldn’t help but be even more interested in getting to know her better. He didn’t know many women of her age who were already successful business owners and this intrigued him. Well then it’s a good thing you didn’t lose it. What shape would your store be in if you lost your inventory. You’d have to spend all that time redoing everything and that wouldn’t be much fun at all now would it? He said with one of his adorable smiles. Yes, I am from Italy, born and raised there although I got my schooling in France at Beauxbatons. I do have family in Venice but I myself am from Salerno. He said, answering her questions. You’re not being nosy love. Its normal to be curious when you meet other people from your home country so far away from home. Where in Italy are you from? He asked politely.

Evalina looked at Lorenzo and hoped upon hope that this chance meeting would turn out to be something more. She had to think of a way to keep him engaged in conversation so she didn't lose him and never see him again. She smiled when he said she was welcome, I'm glad you could help too. She bit her tongue, last time she was to forward with someone, it only took her to her heart being crushed. I mean...it was really nice of you to help out. It looks like no one else would have cared really. Motioning to the people that were walking past them as if they were just a brick wall. Eva nodded, People apparently do have to much to do to not care about the state of our roads here in Vakkar. Forget that we have magic and all and it would take less than a day if we had a few people to do it. She sighed and brushed a stray bang out of her face, she looked up at Lorenzo and just felt so small compared to him and all of his handsomeness. She looked at his lips again and had a sudden urge to kiss them, she flushed again, man she needed to get out more. Her eyebrow raised a little when he said he would help, was he flirting with her? She didn't really know these things. Oh where are you from? I have a home here in Vakkar but I work and have a flat in Rolige Byen as well. Why was she spilling all these things about her. She felt like she could be open around this guy, something she didn't really do often. Well if you ever do have a free day off you could always find me and we could.....well fix pot holes in the streets I guess. She looked down at the ground and closed her eyes and thought, Stupid stupid stupid. She opened her eyes and looked up at him again and gave him a shy smile. When he mentioned her book again she smiled and felt herself getting a little nerdy, Oh I couldn't even imagine if I lost this book. This has 2 years of papers in it. Papers of notes, clients and what they like and what they normally order, all my inventory...to redo this book would take me another two years and I would be backed up even more....Again I am so thankful you grabbed it and gave it back to me. It wouldn't be very much fun at all. She was rambling, she went quiet again and bit her bottom lip which was something she did was she was anxious. She smiled and nodded when he said he was from Italy and went to Beauxbaton's. She had been to Salerno before, she had a cousin that lived there but she had never really stayed there for long periods of time. Salerno is very beautiful, my cousin lives there. She moved there recently. She smiled. When he called her love she felt a warm little bubble in her stomach, it was like butterflies, she flushed. Well I was born here in Norway, but I lived with my grandmother in Napolis when I was younger...I was the daughter my mother didn't want to have...she was all about having sons...I have three brothers, but anyway I lived with my grandma after I was about 2, until I was 11 and I was sent to Durmstrang. I still go and visit my grandma frequently. I prefer Italy to Norway but I do own a shop in Rolige Byen that I bought from my parents as soon as I was of age.... Again...rambling. She looked at him and smiled, Uhm...would you like to go for a walk with me Enzo? She tilted her head and shrugged a little.

Enzo looked around as she said no one else probably would have helped her out with her book and it looked as though she was right. They were literally standing in the middle of the road having a conversation, and it seemed like no one really cared; they were just walking past the two of them like they were a permanent fixture in the road. I agree. People are just too wrapped up in their own lives to really care about what’s going on with the roads. Especially since the majority of the people that come to Vakkar don’t live here, they really couldn’t give a care how the roads are, as long as they get done what they need to do… He said with a shrug. Vakkar was a small town, and most of their business was sure to come from the students at the school, as well as from the small amount of tourists the town got. There were very few people who actually still lived in this town and that was sad. He smiled when she asked where he was from. Normally, he wouldn’t disclose the location of his home to people, just because he didn’t like a lot of people knowing where to find him, but with her, he didn’t feel like he had to hide anything. My house is in Kristiansand, Norway, but I am sad to say I am hardly ever there. Like I said, my job requires me to travel quite a bit so I say I’m only there maybe 2 days a week…sometimes less. Hard to call somewhere a home when you are hardly ever there you know? He wasn’t really asking her, more just making a statement, but when she said he should look her up if he ever had a free day so they could fix the road, he couldn’t help but smirk. I’ll have to do that. I’m not really sure when my next free day is since my schedule is really unpredictable, but I’ll be sure to come find you next time I’m in town. Yes, he was flirting but he really didn’t see any harm in flirting with a pretty lady…unless she was seeing someone, then there could be a huge problem. But they had been talking for a while and she hadn’t mentioned anyone yet, so that was a good sign in his mind. When she started talking about her book, he was really, really glad that he had found it for her before something had happened to it. Wow, 2 years’ worth of work…I can’t even imagine what I would be going through if I lost something that took me so long to accomplish. He admired how dedicated she was to her work; it was a quality he didn’t often see in people these days. As she began talking about where she was born and where she grew up and everything, he listened carefully, taking in everything she was saying. So she was born in Norway, but moved to Italy when she was 2. He had personally never been to Napolis but he had heard it was a lovely place. She went to school at Durmstrang which was also good to know. He heard it was a decent school, different, since it was the only one around that taught the Dark Arts as a study, but he wished he would have learned them in his youth instead of later on…they would have come in handy since he sometimes had to use them for work. He was about to say something, but she caught him a bit off guard by asking him to go on a walk with her. His eyes lit up and he couldn’t help but smile as he answered. Of course. I’d love to. We could walk and continue our little talk, and well, get to know each other a little better.

Evalina looked at him and nodded with a smile, he was just so dreamy, she could look at him for hours. She liked that no one was watching them, if felt like they were completely alone on a crowded street. Isn't that the truth. I guess I'm a part of the statistic though. She giggled, I mean, if I hadn't have been so wrapped up in my inventory book, I wouldn't have tripped and I wouldn't have had the pleasure of meeting you. She bit her lip and looked him up and down swaying a little. He was making her giddy, cute, and flirtatious. Tony had never done that, he had made her feel seductive and someone that she wasn't sure if she liked or not. She nodded and smiled, They don't really care about the roads, the locals well we don't really pay attention because most of us don't work here. She looked down at the ground and sighed, I think after today...I'm gonna do something about the roads, a little at a time. She listened to Lorenzo speak about where he lived and she nodded, I've never been there before, is it nice. When she heard him say that he never really got to be there she frowned a little. So do you stay in inns when you aren't there? She wondered what he did for work that would keep him from his home. She decided that if he didn't want to tell she wouldn't push the envelope...very much. So...who do you work for that makes you travel? She couldn't help but look at his face, it was hardened, serious looking, but there was something about him that made her want to touch his face gently and kiss those lips with a passion that was tender but fierce at the same time. She gave him a smile when he talked about not calling home, home. My grandma always said that Home was where the heart is. So I guess you'd just have to find...find that right person. She blushed a little and then said, Something that has yet to happen to me. She giggled again and moved that stray bang out of her face again. There she put herself out there, she didn't know if he had someone in his life, he was still here talking to her so that was a good sign right? She giggled when he smirked, he had a very attractive smirk, he had an attractive air about him, I'd like that. She wanted to see him again, this would be a good excuse to see him again. Well when you do get a day off you can send me an owl. I am normally at my shop. She looked at him and batted her eyelashes slightly. She smiled and said, I would be totally lost with out my book. She patted her bag and smiled, giggling a little. She was a little nervous and prayed that he would accept her offer. She saw his eyes light up and she felt her heart jump start, Really? Great! I'd love to get to know you better. She looked around and said, So...uhm....do you want to go to the park? She gestured to the walk through forest that was a nice little hike. Unless you aren't up for it. She looked at him and grinned playfully.
