There was a heavy mood to Asher’s step as he walked down the narrow cobblestone street. He had just received an owl from his mother for the fortieth time since coming to Norway. She, liked so many others that seemed to follow him no matter where he went, could not seem to understand that he just needed a break and time to himself. He knew that she was worried about him, but he had just decided on a moment’s notice that he just needed to get away. Granted, he probably could have found a better way to do it in stead of just disapparating away in the middle of the night, but he knew that if he didn’t go then, he would never be able to get away.
After that last quidditch match where he had gotten injured, he had started to feel the bubble around him start to contract, and he had started to feel suffocated. The injury to his knee had seemed to become so much more in that moment. Granted yes with magic it was healed in the blink of an eye, but emotionally, he could still feel the pain all through his body, and deep down he had a feeling that it would be a bit longer before he found himself up on a broom again.
Honestly, he was surprised that he had not heard anything from Marcus in a while. Usually he was the first one to get to Ash to break him out of whatever funk he was in no matter how trivial it seemed to be. But Marcus Sloan had just found himself a new girlfriend, and so Asher was sure that he was still enveloped in the shroud of new love, and he could not fault his friend for that. So here he was in a foreign country, roaming the streets late at night.
