Theron’s fist slammed down on his desk as he got frustrated again with Ancient Runes. He flipped through the pages of the text he was supposed to learning from and nothing made sense to him. At first the runes had made some sense to him, but now it seemed just like a bunch of lines that were supposed to mean something. Huffing to himself he looked at what he had written down and noticed none of it translated properly. “What the hell is wrong with me.” he thought as he glanced back at the book. The assignment as far as he could tell had something to do with magical creatures and the numbers they represent.
Pushing his chair back he glanced at the clock to see what time it was. A small wave of relief swept over him as he realized he could still run down to the dungeons and see if Professor Engel was hopefully in his class. Grabbing the assignment and a light jacket he headed towards the dungeons. Arriving at the door to the class he took in a breath and knocked “Professor Engel are you still in?” he called hoping he wasn’t too late to get help.

Malakai was sitting in his office, his wings spread out around him wrapped around him like a blanket. He was looking over books planning for the next lesson for his class. He studied the rune UR which was to heal and smiled, healing was the first power he had learned when he was in heaven, although it hadn't been enough to save his love, his moon and stars. He always dropped hints in his classes about what he was. He scribbled down another rune that LAF which was cosmic law. His wings twitched and fluttered, they were bright deep gold with fiery orange tips. They rustled restlessly, he hadn't been out for to fly for a while and sometimes his wings took on a mind of their own. Suddenly he felt a human presence coming closer to him, his wings folded up and melted into his shoulder blades, he had been around for a very long time and it still hurt as bad as when he was first in Durmstrang. He grabbed his button up shirt and put it on just as there was a knock on the door. He quickly buttoned up the bottom 5 button's leaving some of his chest exposed. He walked towards the door and opened it to see Theron Hudson standing behind it. He smiled and said, Yes I'm still in. I don't leave my office till six. Please do come in. He gestured towards the inside of his office, he closed the door behind them and walked back to his desk. So you need help understanding some runes? He asked as he sat down and leaned forward on his desk looking at Theron with a kind smile.

Theron shifted weight nervously as he hoped Professor Engel was in. He didn’t enjoy the dungeons that much at night. They always gave off some weird vibes, but Professor Engel seemed to be a light in the darkness. He heard footsteps coming from the other side of the door and that was good. Then the door opened and Professor Engel was there with a smile. A sheepish grin appeared on Theron’s face as Professor Engel mentioned he was in his office till six. “Thank you professor. How are you this evening?” he asked as he entered the office. Taking a seat across from him Theron noticed that Professor Engel hadn’t buttoned his shirt up all the way. He had to admit Professor Engel was pretty easy to look at, but that was another discussion. When Professor Engel asked if he needed help understanding runes Theron blushed. “Yes professor. I can’t seem to grasp the concept of magical creatures relating to numbers.” he answered setting the assignment on the desk. (( Link to reference))
