Kasper looked at himself in the mirror for a long moment in the Prefect's bathroom...his hair was still a little damp but it looked pretty dry at least. He pulled on a t-shirt and some jeans after finishing drying off. He sat down at the bench against the wall, and sat down...he slowly put on his shoes...luckily he had gotten enough sleep with all the anticipation and fear he had in his stomach for the coming events...he hadn't gotten the chance to tell anyone what he was up to today or anything at all..most student's were still in bed...he stood up and glanced in the mirror nervously again before heading out of the Prefect bathroom to where he was suppose to meet Kristen...

As he reached the great doors and pushed them out, he was greeted by ice cold air and darkness...it was such an bitter winter...he was a little early but this made him happy...he sat down on the cold steps and waited patiently with his hand in his jacket pocket to stay warm. Kristen would be there soon..and soon he would have to prove himself to him..prove to both of them that his decision to become and auror was a good idea..he felt the nervous knot in his stomach as he heard footsteps approaching him.

Kristen drank a glass of coffee in the great hall before setting his mug on the table and standing up...it was nearly time for his training session with Kasper. He was really excited to see what the boy could do. He pulled on a black sweater that he had laying on the table and said good bye to Dionysus who had beenSee you later. He told him with a nod...both men had gotten to know each other well...both headed departments in the Ministry and both were pro-muggle...He walked out to the main floor and then out the large doors. He walked up behind Kasper and sat down beside him, I trust you slept well? He asked with a small smile to the boy as he looked at him, Ready to begin running? He asked standing back up and stretching his legs...he gave him a smirk and said, You have no chance of keeping up with me....but let's see if you can prove me wrong. He said taking off in a run towards the forest.

Kasper turned to look at him as he approached him and sat down beside him, Actually yes...I did manage to. How about you? He asked shyly....his eyes followed him as he stood back up. Kasper followed suit and also stood up. He bit his lip nervously and nodded as he asked if he was ready. His words made him frown...maybe he wouldn't be able to catch up with him but he was going to beat him now for that comment...for some reason his taunting burned a desire to be better than him in his heart...As Kristen began at a run towards the forest...Kasper growled and took off after him...running quickly to catch up with him...Thanks for just taking off. He laughed as he met his speed and began to run beside him, Look...I'm keeping up with you just fine. He said with a smirk.

As they reached the forest, he stumbled across a broken branch and nearly lost his footing...but somehow managed to carry on into the woods beside Kristen...For the first time he felt like he wasn't just a human...not just some little boy without the strength to overcome the impossible...running beside Kristen made him feel like a man...a man who was athletic enough to keep up with a man like him....
