Eliza really wasn’t sure why she was sitting outside in the cold today. Well, she was, but it didn’t really make a lot of sense to her the reason why. She had been sitting in the library helping her sister study when she got a letter from Adyrian. While getting letters from Adyrian really wasn’t uncommon, since he would usually owl her whenever he needed her for various reasons, but this was different. This wasn’t “meet me in the dungeons in 10 minutes”…this was actually to meet him outside, on the lawns. While they had been…meeting up for quite some time, they had never met up outside in public or in the day time really so this was definitely different.
So here she waited, mostly because she had to, but also because she really was curious to see why exactly Adyrian would want to meet her outside of all places. Shuffling her boots in the snow a bit in front of the bench she was sitting at, she really wanted a cigarette right now, but she had left them in her bag in the library which really wasn’t very smart of her. She wondered if she had time to go back and get them but she figured she shouldn’t because if he showed up while she was gone he would probably get mad…well not even probably, he would. She hated the fact that he had actually trained her for the most part; she came when she was called and did what she was told…to a degree. Eliza still didn’t agree with the whole not having male friends thing and still talked to the ones she still had, but most of them had heard about the consequences of spending time with her and left her alone now. She really wished he would hurry up. Sure she was dressed for the weather, jeans, boots, sweatshirt and a jacket over but her face was cold and it was beginning to annoy her.

Adyrian sat on his bed with his legs pulled into his chest with his arms wrapped around his legs and his head against his knees. He had his eyes closed tightly and music blaring into his ears with giant headphones...he was to leave soon to meet her, but for the moment he sat frozen in anger and pain of recent events..He played with the sleeve of his brother's jacket he was wearing in silence as his insides screamed in pain...his brother in a coma and their was nothing he could do about it. He was useless to his brother at the moment...a disgrace to him. He couldn't do anything to help him and he felt the weakest he had ever felt before.
He stood up slowly after several silent moment and looked around at the pictures of him and his brother on the wall with solemn depression. He would do anything to make him better again..and anything to know why he laid there like he did. He glanced in the mirror, his eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep and his skin pale from lack of food and over indulgence in drugs since his brother was admitted to the hospital...he wanted to die but he wouldn't show his weakness to the world... he just couldn't do it.
He had sent a letter to Eliza...she was the only person he had at the moment to lean on whether she wanted to or not...He closed his door behind him and walked up from the dungeons toward the entrance hall...it didn't take long until he was walking down the stop steps of the school out to meet her in the snow...He glance her over for a minute as he reached her and then leaned forward and kissed her softly on the lips...as he pulled away he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and took one out and then passed one to her, It's cold...have a smoke. He told her before lighting his cigarette and taking her other hand in hers and lacing his fingers with hers...Let's...go somewhere...a walk or something. He muttered with a glance in her direction before lighting his cigarette and leading them towards the forest, Mind if we apparate? I want out of this school right now...Adyrian's Outfit

Eliza heard Adyrian’s footsteps approaching in the snow well before he got to her but she didn’t turn to see him. She waited until he came to her and stood up awkwardly, waiting for some sort of explanation. Well, she didn’t get any sort of explanation, but something that she really didn’t expect to come from him…he kissed her. But it wasn’t the normal kisses they usually shared, if they ever shared, this one was gentle and it actually made Eliza blush just the slightest as she kissed him back for a second before he pulled away. She felt like she was lucky that her cheeks were already red from the cold or the blush might have shown more prominently. As he took out his pack of cigarettes and offered her one, she smirked slightly before lighting it and taking a long drag. It’s like you read my mind. She said thankfully, taking another drag as she looked him over.
He really didn’t look good. His eyes were all red and bloodshot and he was pale…way more pale than she had ever seen him. She wasn’t sure if she should bring it up to him or not…not that he probably didn’t already know, but whatever he had been doing since she had seen him last probably wasn’t healthy for him. As much as she didn’t like the guy, there was a part of her that did like him and that part was worried about him. She flinched slightly as he reached for her hand, but when he took her hand in his and laced their fingers, she was more surprised that she would have been if he had done something that within his normal character. Seriously, what had happened to him lately? Was he actually trying to be…nice for a change? As he suggested they go on a walk, there was something about his tone that said something definitely wasn’t right about him today. Yeah sure…whatever you want… She said without the sarcasm she usually had in her voice when she spoke to him, even squeezing his hand gently as they headed in the direction of the forest. I don’t mind…take us wherever you wanna go…She said softly as she glanced over at him as they walked.

Adyrian nodded at her as she said it was like he had read her mind..he had grown to know her pretty well and to the surprise of most, he did actually care to remember things about people. He took a hit off of his cigarette as they walked hand and hand towards the forest. He nodded again at her as she agreed to him apparating them out of the school, his eyes locked on her...he let the feeling of the apparations take over him as they vanished from the lawns...
His feet landed on the ground without so much as a jerk as the met their destination...he could feel her beside him on the grass outside of the large dark castle. He stared up at it for a long moment before pulling her gently across the grass to the drawbridge and the large trench that kept them from the door...he walked up the a large black marble statue of a snake and spoke in parseltoungue, Open... The snake hissed back and then crawled up the stone pillar and pulled the lever releasing the drawbridge to come down so they could walk over the trench...He raised an eyebrow at her slightly as he squeezed her hand before leading her over the bridge...
His eyes found dark shapes in the water below...swimming around the bridge with hope that one of them would come to close to edge of the bridge so that they could pull them to their death within the dark water...as they walked onto into the stone tunnel that would lead to the castle door, he turned to face the snake on this side of the bridge, Close.. He hissed in parselmouth...the snake lifted from it's spot and obiedinatly grabbed the lever that closed the bridge from anyone following them, and then spoke to her, No one will be here...our caretaker will not step foot here...not that he could if he wanted to...and my parents of course, haven't been here since they were imprisoned.. He whispered to her as he led her down the tunnel towards the door into their castle.Adyrian's Outfit

Eliza took a drag off of her cigarette as they walked towards the forest. She had to admit, it was pretty strange holding hands with Adyrian, but only because it was something they just didn’t do. They weren’t together or anything…but at the same time, in a way they were. Eliza hadn’t been with anyone else since they had started hooking up and she didn’t really care to look for anyone else at the moment, even though she wasn’t supposed to either way. She definitely wasn’t developing feelings for the guy, but she was tolerating him enough to be faithful to him, which for her was a start at least.
As they reached the forest, they apparated wherever it was that Adyrian was taking her. Even as their feet hit ground again a moment later, she still really didn’t have any idea where he had taken her. She looked up at the large dark castle for a moment before he pulled her towards it. Wherever they were, it was a very secluded place that looked like no one had visited in quite some time. She assumed it was his home, which would make sense since neither him nor his brother would be there during school and their parents weren’t around to live there either. As they reached the building she watched as he commanded the drawbridge down with his parseltounge and smiled just the slightest as he squeezed her hand and led her inside.
She listened as he told her that they were completely alone and still wondered why exactly he brought her here of all places. They could be alone any place, it was just a matter of a few enchantments, but maybe there was some reason he really didn’t want to be bothered today. So we’re alone in a big empty castle…any particular reason? She whispered back as they walked inside.

Adyrian looked at her as he swung the front door open for them both to enter. His expression was blank as he looked into her eyes for a moment. His expression softened slightly for probably the first time in front of her and he frowned slightly, My home is the only place I feel home at anymore...with Unwyn in a coma...it's all I have left. He whispered weakly before clearing his throat and walking though the entrance quickly...shutting the door behind them and throwing the lock down on the door without much emotion in his face.
He turned to look at her and let a small smile creep across his face, What if I wanted to whisk you away to a castle like in a fairy tale and have my way with you? He said with a small laugh as he pulled her towards him, Maybe I would just like to spend some time with you...is that a problem? He asked. Adyrian's Outfit

Eliza looked into Adyrian’s eyes as he looked into hers. She had heard something about what had happened with Unwyn but not really enough to fully know what happened. It did explain why Adyrian looked so out of it though. Him and his brother were…unnaturally close and with Unwyn out of commission, Adyrian must have felt so lost. Do you know what happened to him yet? She asked softly as he went and locked the door behind him. She really didn’t want to pry and as much as she really hated Unwyn, she didn’t want to see him, nor Adyrian hurting because of what happened.
As he turned back towards her with a smile, she couldn’t help but smile back at his comment. It was so unlike him to say anything like that, but it was sort of sweet…in a way. As he pulled her close and said he wanted to spend time with her, she couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow slightly and try not to show the slight blush in her pale cheeks. What exactly did I do to deserve you actually being nice to me? She asked curiously, biting her lip slightly. Not that I’m complaining or anything…it’s just a bit out of character for you… She said with a small smile, looking up into his eyes.

Adyrian turned to face her as he finished locking the door, No, they have no idea yet what actually caused the coma...All I know is I'm gonna find out who did it and rip every bone from their body out through their throat. He growled. He wanted to punch the wall but he pushed it off when he looked into her eyes. She was terrified of him enough...and she was all that he had right now regardless what that really meant.
He smiled at her as he wrapped his arms around her, to pull her closer, What sense would it be if I continue to mean to you. Your mine, might as well keep you happy. He said matter-of-fact like, Besides your all I really have without my brother being around. I kinda...need you I guess. He whispered a little unsure of himself. He looked away from her and took her hands in his, he was silent as he did so. He gave her hand a slight squeeze and pulled her down the long hallway...past many doors until they reached a pair of dark brown french doors with brass handles. He pushed them open to reveal a large dining room with a ballroom beside the dining room. He flicked his wand at the Chandler and it lit up the room to reveal magic runes all over the room. He turned to face her, Hungry?

By the look in Adyrian’s eyes, Eliza regretted asking about Unwyn’s condition. Of course it severely upset Adyrian to probably even think about what happened to his brother and Eliza felt that he would probably take it out on her. She noticed how he growled his answer but surprisingly, he didn’t do anything violent or scary. Maybe he had changed just a little bit.
It felt really nice to have him pull her close and wrap his arms around her…something he had never really done before. Sure they had sometimes lay together after sex and snuggled but he had never really shown any sort of affection towards her. Yes she belonged to him and everything, but that didn’t mean they had to like each other or anything, although…as much as she would never admit it to anyone, she did kinda like him…sometimes. It was nice to hear that he wasn’t going to keep being mean to her anymore but she wondered how long that would actually last. He did have a bit of a temper and if she did even the smallest thing to set him off this whole nice thing would go right out the window. Which was why she decided that if he was going to be nice, than she was going to listen so both of them could be happy. I have to admit, it’s weird to hear you say that you need me as hard as it was for you to even say…but since I know you actually do mean it, I will be there for you whenever you need me to be…and not even because I have to. She whispered back nervously. It was weird for her to open up with her emotions even the slightest bit and especially with Adyrian; she didn’t know what he would think. So she was glad when he took her hand and led her to another room which looked to be a dining room of sorts. I could eat…but it looks like you probably need to eat something before you die of starvation or something. She said, slightly sarcastically but at the same time with complete seriousness. He looked as though he hadn’t eaten in days and it wasn’t a good look for him.

Adyrian smiled at her slightly and squeezed her hand in his, I'm happy to hear this. He said with a grin before leading them into the dining and ball room. He laughed slightly at her next words, Well then...I would surprise you wouldn't I if I told you I have went days without eating several times in my life...happens when your family is hiding from the Ministry of Magic. He said with a shrug. He snapped his fingers and a small creature came from a door that led to the kitchens...he eyes wide open as she looked at them. The house elf nervously approached them as Adyrian pulled a chair out for Eliza to sit and then sat down himself. Rose, tonight I want something special prepared for me and my date... He said with his eyes locked on the elf, Bring us Chardonnay and fried green beans with ranch to start...then prepare us. hmm....Fried Calamari and a light Cesar salad for the side. He told the elf and then turned back to Eliza as the elf hurried out to get the appetizer for them and the wine while starting the main dish, Wine alright with you? He asked with a grin. For some reason it didn’t surprise her that Adyrian had previously gone days without eating while his family was in hiding. Mostly because he didn’t really seemed phased by having not eaten for however many days this time. If it were Eliza, she wouldn’t even want to move out of bed or do anything at all if she had gone days without eating, but then again, she had never really gone longer than the average length of time without eating. Maybe after a while it gets easier to deal with the hunger pains and what not. No…it doesn’t really surprise me. It seems only natural that if you were in hiding from the Ministry you wouldn’t have much time to eat. But you’re not in hiding now…so you probably should be at least eating something…so you don’t, you know, die. She said slightly sarcastically but at the same time, with a hint of complete seriousness.
As the elf came in, Eliza sat down in the chair that Adyrian pulled out for her and watched as he sat down himself and ordered from the house elf. She raised an eyebrow as he referred to her as his “date” but didn’t say anything about it, just waited for him to finish. Wine is just fine. She said with a small smile as the house elf disappeared. Wine was delicious, but when the two of them were together, they didn’t really drink anything like wine…usually it was hard liquor…if they drank anything…or spent more than an hour or so together. This night was certainly different.

Adyrian gave her a half smile, Don't worry I won't die on you just yet. He sad half sarcastically...he was starving though. He could feel it deep in his stomach...he was trained to ignore it but the pains were there...angry livid pains. He smiled as the elf appeared again with a bottle of wine in a bucket of ice and two wine glasses...and in the other hand a rectangle plate of fried green beans with ranch dipping sauce...the smell of it made Adyrian's stomach flip but he was in control of him self..., I'm glad you enjoy wine...I drink it with every meal...apparently I am the 'typical French man'. he said with a small laugh at the thought...other had pointed out his stereo typical obsession with wine before...but it didn't bother him. He was proud of his heritage.
He pushed the cork screw in the wine cork and popped it out with a loud bang. He smirked slightly as he poured the wine into two the two wine glasses and put one in front of her and then herself before putting the wine bottle back into the bucket. He smiled and took a sip of the wine, enjoying the taste as it ran over his tongue...his senses were excited by the taste, Have you ever tried fried green beans before? They are delicious. He said with a grin. He took a green been with an appetizer fork and dipped it into the ranch before taking a bite of it. He put the fork into another fried green bean and dipped it into ranch before placing it up to her lips, Try it. He said with a laugh.
