Jack hadn't slept. Sure, he'd gone to bed, but just because it was time. He didn't close his eyes, he just stared at the ceiling in the dark. The glow of the moon shone through the window, casting a grey light on the ground. When the time came for him to meet Adyrian out by the lake, he got up and dressed in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt. He ran his hands through his hair and quietly left the common room and down to the entry way. The full moon shined like high noon as he pushed the doors open, revealing the school grounds.
The cold wind was biting, and he shoved his hands in his front sweatshirt pocket as his feet crunched through the icy snow. This was Jack's life. This was his job. He enjoyed it. Meeting with Adyrian late at night was what he had been doing since he was fourteen. It wasn't that Jack was afraid of Adyrian, quite the opposite. If he feared him, then the job was over and Jack loses. He would lose everything he had been taught and enjoyed doing.
The figure of Adyrian came into view near the lake as Jack finally made his way to him. "Hey, Adyrian. What's up? it's cold as hell out here..." he muttered, jumping a little to keep himself warm. The lake was very near frozen and just looking at it made Jack shiver. "Can we get some whiskey or something? I need something. I'm about to freeze my balls off, man." He said, sighing and glancing at Adyrian for an answer. If was a quick meeting, he was sure Adyrian would just tell him and they'd be off. If it needed a lot of details, Jack was going to need a drink adn light to get through the next hour or so.

Adyrian stood by the frozen lake with a cigarette in his mouth as he stared into the depths of the water with dark haunted eyes...He felt tortured by his thoughts and for the first time ever...he felt vulnerable. He wouldn't admit he had fears to anyone...wouldn't admit a god damn bit of it...he had plans though for tonight...his 'friend' would be here soon to discuss business...
As he inhaled the smoke into his lungs he turned at the sound of footsteps, though he knew from their sound in the snow who it was before he even caught a glance...Jack...are you complaining? He hissed slightly, Grow some balls...it's not that cold. He said raising an eyebrow at him...he wouldn't let any emotion come off of his face...not for Jack...not for anyone...He sighed and grabbed Jack's arm before apparating them to a small pub in Paris...he sat down at the table, This suit your fancy more then? He asked before motioning to the waitress, Two firewhiskies now. He told her before looking back into Jack's eyes.

Jack turned his head toward Adyrian as he asked him if he was complaining. It needed no answer. Jack was by no means afraid of Adyrian, however, there was a very high degree of respect. Jack figured that if there wasn't any respect, it would probably leave a place open for fear, so he always made sure he was in a position of need to Adyrian. In moments, Jack was thrust through the sensation of apparating. Jack knew in a second they were in Paris. Why Paris? Jack always thought it was too cliche. Why not go to...THe Congo? Or....hell, he didn't know. Paris was fine.
THe waitress left with their order of two firewhiskeys. Then Adyrian looked Jack in the eyes. He always left Jack feeling like he'd just finished a book with no ending. As he looked at him, Jack had no idea what to say. This was Adyrian's gig. He worked for Adyrian, not the other way around. He leaned back in his chair, his face unemotional. "What's going down, sir? Who's the target? Any ideas in mind, or am I allowed to be completely original?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. These meetings always made him excited on the inside. Like a child that was just told they were going to the Quidditch World Cup or....the world series. Of course, Jack couldn't let on that he was excited. He enjoyed his job, he enjoyed being sneaky and surprising. He did'nt always enjoy the kill....but it brought a certain joy to his day. "Sir?"

Adyrian stared at Jack for a long moment in thought as he questioned him. He could hear his native language surrounding him and felt at home for the first time in months...France always called him home. His eyes locked on Jack's. As you may or may not know...my brother was attacked by someone...Unwyn is in a coma with as far as I know...no witnesses to his attack nor any suspects...of course, you know the anger that fuels within me at the pain of my brother... He growled, You will be playing a new card for me Jack as an assassin... The target is not set for you because the target is unknown....but you will uncover the truth. You must... He growled slamming his fist on the table in frustration...causing some of the guests to move farther away from them, Whoever did this to Unwyn will pay dearly...I do have places for you to start...people for you to track.. .Neko Savage, for one...me and my brother had a run in with him a few weeks ago that sent me to the hospital room...do not mistake him...he is not human from what I have seen...though...I'm sure what he is...see if you can find out as much information on him as you can...Also...his girl...I haven't seen her in the hospital ward...Strange since she belongs to my brother...I'm sure something is up with her...she must know something...or worse took part in it...Deianira... the only little skank to ever get away from my brother and only because of help from Neko...she may have caused this as well... Start with those three and keep an eye out...we must discover the truth... whoever attacked my brother will endure and eternity of suffering for this.. He growled...

Jack listened to Adyrian closly, narrowing his eyes as he talked. He did indeed know the instensity of the anger that flowed through Adyrian regarding his brother. He'd seen this relationship strained before by a third party and it was never a good idea for anyone to cross either brother. Jack knew his plan of action, then. Get to know about that Neko. He'd seen him around, and if Adyrian and Unwyn had had a run in with him, it was probably that he had something to do with Unwyn's current state in the hospital wing. His girl; Eliza. That's a true enough question. Why wasn't she ever seen in the ward to see Unwyn? In fact, Jack couldn't remember the last time he'd seen her at all. That truly was interesting. And Deia. Well...he'd seen her around and heard that she'd left Unwyn and gotten away with that. That was impressive...but hardly smart.
Jackk sighed and leaned back in his chair after hearing everything Adyrian said. "Well, then. I will be tracking all three. I'll learn everything I can. However, when I have that information, what is it you want me to do? Do you want me to have another discussion with you, or do have a plan already set? I wouldn't be surprised if all three of them are in this together. I'll find out what happened to Unwyn. Believe you me." He said quietly, digging in his pocket for a cigarette and his Zippo lighter. Well, this was a more exciting plan to be executed than he'd previous thought. He was excited. He grinned at himself to show it.

Adyrian looked at him silently for a moment as he made his decision, When you find out anything let me know...When it comes to handling it, I say we share the fun shall we? He said with a dark look into Jack's eyes, Also...if you can please keep an eye out for Eliza for me...She's mine and if I see anyone even close to her I may very well kill them. Okay? He said seriously, Concentrate on Deia, Neko and Aria the most. If anyone knows what happened to my brother...it's them. He said with a violent sneer.
He gave him a smile, You will be awarded of course. He said, If only I could figure out how to get my brother out of his state...without knowing what they did to him...its almost impossible to help him. He mused more to himself that to Jack...

Jack nodded as Adyrian spoke. He was used to Adyrian's out loud musings and way of speaking. He'd worked well enough for him that he'd been asked to do multiple things for him. He figured keeping an eye out and on Aria would be ridiculously easy. He already had her in his pocket. She considered him at least an acquaintance; getting to talk to her would be easy by far. Deia and Neko would be somewhat harder, seeing as Jack had never really talked to either of them.
"I'm not worried about payment. You've always been more than generous." Jack started, then he mused a little bit, thinking of a way they could find out what happened to Unwyn. If only they had a way to see what had happened in the past. A time turner. But hadn't they all been destroyed? "What if...could we use a pensieve? To see his memories? We would at least be able to see who did it, and what had happened. Is that possible?' Jack asked, putting a hand to his face in thought, and looking at Adyrian with intrigue.
