Mikayla sauntered back to the Slytherin common room late in the evening; it felt like she was walking on a cloud which was a really weird feeling for her. She had just met who she thought might be the most perfect guy she had ever had the chance to talk to. He was different somehow…he somehow hadn’t heard of her reputation and apparently just liked her for her…her personality, her looks, and not the fact that she had probably slept with half the guys and the school and was pretty much a sure thing. They had met in the Great Hall during breakfast and skipped classes for the day, just hanging out in the forest and talking. It was an amazing conversation…they talked about everything they could possibly think of and before they parted he kissed her in the moonlight and asked her to be his girlfriend. Of course, Mikayla, afraid of commitment, told him she’d have to think about it…she didn’t want to say yes until she was absolutely sure this was what she wanted…which meant she’d have to ask Skylar his opinion first.

This guy, was a Gryffindor…and a half blood, which were two things that Mikayla had vowed she would never be involved with. But this guy…was something special. Although, aside from being nervous about committing to a guy, she wasn’t sure if she was actually able to be in a committed relationship. She had been doing what she did for a long time, and old habits are hard to break…which was why she needed to get the opinion of her best friend first…before any decisions were made. The common room was surprisingly empty, but she figured that everyone was still at dinner or off doing homework or something. Plopping down in a armchair in front of the fire, she draped herself across it, with her head resting on one arm and her legs dangling over the other side. Sure, she was wearing a skirt but there was no one around so she really didn’t care at the moment. Skylar would sure to be through here sometime soon, so all she had to do was wait.

Skylar leaned into the table as he flipped another page in the book with a sour look on his face. He had already managed to remember every single potion in his advanced potion's book...except for one...he looked over the list again and then chopped up the Egyptian Beetle and tossed it in the cauldron...He stirred it silently as it simmered and turned a dirty yellow color...he frowned slightly at this and looked over the book again...Dammit... He thought to himself as he realized he had chopped the beetle instead of dicing it. He groaned at this before dumping the potion out in the drain...He wouldn't try again for the millionth time tonight...he needed a break.

This year, Skylar has straightened his act up for the most part...He wasn't partying and sleeping around like he use to. He wasn't even sure the last time he talked to a girl other than Mikayla...He had been focusing on his studies, mostly Astrology which he was gaining a strong love for...the only part of him left of the wild days of his youth was Mikayla...he couldn't stop her...he would never want to...sure she was probably still sleeping with other guys but it wasn't like they were a thing...not really anyways.

Since sleeping with Kali...Skylar had grown up a lot...knowing fully well that sleeping with her meant nothing but her using him for revenge against Kyle. It had been good....but not like him and Mikayla...no one ever met up to the way his experiences with her were...She was just different...He was doing the one thing he promised her he would never do...he was falling in love with her...been in love with her for a long time.

He couldn't admit that to her...he just couldn't...it would ruin everything right? He shook his head as he walked to the Slytherin Common room and then went through the passage way...His eyes lit up on a familiar petite figure sitting on a chair...He smirked at her as walked over to her and sat down on her lap...he leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, Mika...it's been such a long day... He whispered as he nuzzled into her neck.

A Blast From the Past!!

Mikayla had been dozing slightly as she laid there staring into the fire. It was boring waiting around for Skylar but she knew he would be through eventually. Her day just wasn’t complete without seeing him and since she had skipped out on all her classes for the sake of this guy, she hadn’t seen her Skylar yet, and that was practically a crime. As she closed her eyes for a few minutes, she heard the entrance to the common room open and judging by the footsteps, they were headed in her direction, which most likely made them Skylar’s. Once he sat on her though, she knew he was right and she opened her eyes to look at him, only to be met by a kiss.

As he nuzzled into her neck, she ran her hand through his hair and smile. [green]It has been a long day…although my days are always long when I don’t see you all day…[/green] She whispered back as she ran her other hand down his neck and back. Mikayla wanted to tell him about the guy she had just met…but it didn’t seem like the right time just yet. This was their time and she didn’t want to ruin it. Plus, she knew how he would act when she told him she met someone. He would get jealous and try to talk her out of it…which was exactly what she did whenever he found a girl that he liked or whatever. No, they weren’t together but they might as well have been. Skylar was the only one who knew her…truly knew her, more than anyone else in the entire world and she loved him because of that. But she would never tell him that, let alone admit it to herself. In her opinion, love didn’t actually exist as far as she knew…or at least she had never seen it. When they first met, she made Skylar promise, as she promised him, that they would never fall in love with each other, so there was no way that would ever happen anyway.

Skylar looked into her eyes and pouted slightly with narrowed eyes, You left me to suffer alone in classes...how dare you.. He told her with a heavy sigh...Making me sit all alone looking like a fool...jeez...have a heart Mika...at least let me in on you skip day next time. He said looking hurt by the idea of her not letting him know. He twirled a strand of her hair absentmindly in thought for a moment, I think you should make it up to me.. He said with a pout...Give me a reason to forgive your rudeness and lack of love for the day. He said with a grin. He wouldn't admit that he was actually hurt by her not letting him in on her little skip day but it did bother him somewhat...they did everything together...and that was how it was suppose to be...

He kissed her neck after a few moments of him being silent and then grabbed her hands in his pulling her into a standing position, Dude...this Head Boy crap sucks...why in the hell did they pick me? Do I look like the type of guy who can be trusted with responsibility? He narrowed his eyes at her, Don't you dare answer that. He said with a laugh as he pulled her towards the stairs, Let's go cuddle and stuff Mika...I've missed you in so many ways. He said with a playful grin and a glanced around the common room...Sure he was head boy and probably should of been setting an example but when did he play by the rules? It was a wonder he made Head boy anyways...he felt a nervous kick in his stomach as he pulled her towards the boys dorm and finally to him own room, Dude...the room is still a mess from the jello shots that went wrong. He said pushing the door open...

The room was mostly black with the only color in the room being a tiny teal heart shaped fur pillow that had originally belonged to Mika...but she stayed over so often that it had found a new home in his room...He didn't mind it though...he liked having a piece of her in his bed...

Mikayla looked away from Skylar as he began to pout. Even if he was joking, she hated when he pouted to her because he always made her feel bad and then he would get her to do anything. It really was annoying which was why she just chose not to look most of the time. [green]I’m sorry, jeez! Its not like I knew when I woke up today that I was gonna skip. Something…um…came up at breakfast and well…uh…[/green] She stuttered slightly. She was nervous to tell him anything that happened for some reason. Probably because she knew what he would say and she didn’t want to hear it, although she’d have to tell him eventually anyway…but she figured she’d only do it when he asked. [green]You shouldn’t need a reason to forgive me sweetie…you should just forgive me automatically because you just love me so much…[/green]She said with a slight pout as she leaned forward and kissed him softly.

She was very comfortable laying on the chair with him, but Skylar decided that they were going to go somewhere else as he pulled her into a standing position. She couldn’t help but laugh when he asked why they chose him to be Head Boy and then snapped at her not to answer…but of course she had to say something. [green]Oh you know you wanted to be Head Boy just so you could get away with whatever you want. You gotta admit it does make doing this a lot easier…[/green] She said with a smirk as she followed him up to his room. In the past they had gotten in trouble quite a few times for him sneaking her into his room and vice versa, but since he had become Head Boy this year, it seemed like no one really cared what he did, nor did they bother to tell on them since he could easily get someone in more trouble for no reason.

As they entered his room, she noticed he still had her pillow on his bed and this made her smirk slightly. She probably left it there years ago and he hadn’t even tried to give it back nor do something else with it. [green]Its like my pillow belongs in this room or something. How many times have I tried to bring it back and there it still is…[/green] She said as she playfully pushed him back onto his bed before climbing on top of him, straddling his lap. [green]Well now that you have me here all to yourself, what do you plan to do with me? [/green] She asked raising an eyebrow at him as she played with the edge of his shirt.

Skylar grinned as she said 'you should just forgive me automatically because you just love me so much…' He thought about it for a long moment as they kissed..her lips felt so good against his. Like they always did when their lips touched. He let himself get lost for a moment and then whispered as they pulled apart, I do love you, Mikayla. The words came out of his lips in a different way then he normally sounded when he responded to her saying similar things. He coughed slightly and looked into awkwardly away, You...know... He laughed to cover his tracts, You know. Just like you love me. He said with a grin.

His eyes lit up as she pushed him on to his bed and her words hit his ears, You don't want it to be anywhere but in here...you want a reason to come back and spend time with me...you want it here with me. He purred as she straddled him against the bed. He looked up into her eyes as a grin spread across his face, But Mika...your the one in control right now...the real question is what are you going to do with me...holding me captive in my own room... He whispered as he let his hands travel down her back and then back up until his hand grazed her neck. He gently pulled her closer until their noses touched, Kiss me...like I'm the only one you think about at night...like all you want in this world is me.. He whispered as he let his lips graze hers but wouldn't kiss her..no he wouldn't be the one to make the move...not tonight...

Mikayla loved the feeling of kissing Skylar; it was probably close to the best feeling in the world. However, there was no way in hell she would ever tell him or anyone that, lest someone find out that she might actually have more feelings for him than she let on…but no, that was a secret that she was going to take to the grave. As they pulled apart after several minutes of kissing the way he said he loved her for some reason sounded different than it normally did, in a way that actually slightly gave her that butterfly feeling but as he shook it off so did she. He was probably just caught up in the moment and didn’t realize what he did…that had to be it. [green] Of course I love you, which is why we should just put this whole thing behind us and forget you were ever mad at me. [/green] She said playfully as she nibbled his lip.

Mikayla thought about his question as she continued to play with his shirt as well as teasingly running her nails softly up and down his stomach. [green]There are several things I can think of that I could do…but the question is…should I do them? [/green] She asked, clearly teasing him. She would most certainly do everything that was on her mind with him tonight…but she wanted to make him ask for what he wanted. As his hands went up her back and up to her neck, she noticed him pulling her closer but only close enough so that their noses touched. His words made her heart jump a bit but she also didn’t want to be the one to make the first move tonight, although, with him talking like that she didn’t know if he could resist. [green]What if I told you you are the only one I think about at night…? [/green]She whispered back as she let him graze her lips teasingly. She really couldn’t take it anymore after a few moments of this and she took his hands off of her neck and held them down onto the bed, lacing her fingers with his as she kissed him like he was all he was all she wanted in life. She wasn’t lying when she said he was the one she thought about at night. Even after all the random hook ups, Skylar was the one she looked forward to going back to, the one she wanted to spend all of her time with…but of course they promised each other this would never be anything more than what it was, and she intended to keep her promise.

Skylar closed his eyes for a moment as she ran her fingernails down his chest and he couldn't help but smile. His eyes opened slightly at her words...he tried hard to hold in a moan. Each touched they shared felt better than the last...from his hands on her back...to their noses touching...everything. Her next words made him hesitate slightly...they seemed so honest..could he believe them? As her lips grazed his he couldn't help but groan slightly at the touch...

If you told me that...then I would be so ecstatic...and I would tell you that no matter what...forgetting whoever I'm with at night..and who ever I end up with...I will always dream of you...and always take your memories to sleep with me. He said with a small smile...as she held his hands down again and laced her fingers with his, he met her lips with just the same amount of intensity. He deepened the kiss slightly...biting on her lip as he did so. Everything about her felt so perfect...every touch she gave him felt electric and so attractive to him. He wanted more...always wanted more of her.

At this moment, Mikayla had completely forgotten about the guy she had met earlier, all the wonderful things that had been said and done during that time, and the fact that she was still on the fence about being with that guy. Right now, all that mattered was her and Skylar and what was going on, or would go on, here on his bed before the night was over. She really, truly, did love Skylar with all of her heart and would do anything for him but that was beyond the point. If they were meant to be together, they would have gotten together by now. That had yet to happen, and if things with that other guy went smoothly, it never would.

As they kissed, it was the most perfect feeling in the world. Their lips seemed to fit perfectly together and the way their bodies meshed against each other was like they were meant to be. She held back a soft moan as he bit her lip, unlacing her fingers from him so that she could hook her fingers under his shirt and break the kiss only momentarily to pull his shirt over his head. Once his shirt was off, she turned her attention back to kissing him, while fiddling with his belt. He had been right, she was in control right now, and she was going to use this to both of their advantages.

Skylar kissed her feeling as if their lips fit perfectly...the way they locked against each other...the way the rhythm of their lips met each other perfectly. She felt perfect in his arms. Perfect up against him...each of her curves met his like they were meant to fit together. As they kissed he felt like nothing could stop them...that the world was perfect around them and that they would live happily ever after together.

He let his arm slip up and unhooked her bra like he had a thousand times before...he knew her body...and by the feel of the bra, he knew which one she was wearing before he pulled the shirt over her head.

He kissed her deeper as she fiddled with his belt...begging her to give him her all...I love you... He whispered into her ear...he pulled her up against him…wanting it to continue…begging for her to take it farther. He couldn’t take it anymore.

Of course Mikayla heard what he said, but she didn’t acknowledge that anything of the four letter word variety had just been whispered in her ear. He had never said that to her before in all seriousness. Well, she knew he loved her, and she loved him, but it wasn’t the same as it was this time. This time, it felt real, it felt romantic, and it felt completely right…except for the fact that it completely scared the hell out of her. She tried to push it out of her mind as they became intimate but it stayed there, annoying her like a big red flag to run insanely far away but she couldn’t do that…this wasn’t some random guy. This was her best friend in the whole world who she loved truly and dearly, but she couldn’t handle him being in love with her as well.

As they finished, she snuggled with him in silence for what seemed to her to be a long while, although she wasn’t sure how long she had been silent. She wanted to say something, anything, but she couldn’t piece together any sort of words that made sense. Instead, she just lay there, running her fingers up and down his chest absentmindedly as she tried to make something make sense. Finally, she came up with something to ask to make her at least feel a bit less awkward. [green]You didn’t….mean what you said did you? I mean…it was just a heat of the moment thing right…?[/green] She asked nervously, hoping she was right.

Skylar had made love to Mikayla...not what they usually did together at all....he had gave her his all...made love to her and showed her all the love he could give in that moment...as if it was his last...He closed his eyes at this...closed them tightly...not wanting them to open...dread filled him and he wasn't sure why. He felt like he was losing her...she made no act to make him feel like this...but something in his soul told him that something wasn't right...

As the words hit him...he could feel a tear roll down his cheek, I only I could say I didn't mean it...If only I could tell you that...but I can't...I'm in love with you Mikayla....completely in love with you and I have been falling hard for a while now.. He whispered...., I'm sorry but I can't carry on with our agreement anymore...I love you. He told her firmly...opening his eyes as he sat up. He looked into her eyes and brushed the side of her cheek with his finger tips, Please....just tell me you love me too. He whispered as another tear rolled down his cheek.
