Aria was getting ready in her dorm, her other roommates weren’t anywhere to be found. She knew her friends were off with her boyfriends. Aria really wanted to see Yuri and he was always on her mind and she didn’t know why. She hated this stupid rule and if anyone found out she wouldn’t know what she would do. She let out a deep sigh and looked in the mirror. Her hair wasn’t red today like how normally Unwyn wanted it. It was a blue color with green streaks at the bottom and black leopard prints. She finished putting on her eyeliner and slide her lip gloss across her lips and puckered them together. Aria had grabbed her wand from the night stand and went on her way out of the common room.
She wanted to be by herself tonight and decided to go find and empty class room down in the dungeons. She finally had found one and opened up the door. It was pretty dusty when she had opened it up and moved a few spider webs out of her way. She waved her wand and everything was good as new. She found an old piano sitting in the corner and she had smirked to herself. She hadn’t played in a while not since she’s been home. She missed writing and playing.
She walked over towards the piano and ran her fingers across it and looked at the dust. She went to go sit down on the bench and flipped open the thing that covered the keys. She cracked her knuckles and played a few notes and it sounded really good. She hadn’t really told anyone that she played or anything she kind of kept this to herself. Not even her parents knew about it. She started to get into the song and started to play the cords and sing to the lyrics. It just came to her. [/center] SongOutfit

Jack scratched the back of his head as he yawned and walked down the hall. He followed the stone steps down into the dungeons. He would wait until later to get to his room. It wasn't long before he heard the piano. The notes echoed through the staircase and Jack knit his brows together in confusion. No one should really be out of their rooms at this time. If a prefect found out, that particular student would be in trouble. He grinned to himself as he made it to the hall of dungeon classrooms.
He opened the door slowly, avoiding any creaking. Aria Windsor. He knew of her. He'd seen her around. "Trouble, trouble. You should be in the common room at least, Miss Windsor, don't you think?" Jack asked quietly. It was so quiet that his voice did'nt even echo in the small room. He put his hands in his pockets, revealing a Zippo lighter in the darkness. The sound made a scwhing noise and it clicked when he flipped the switch. The flame ignited and left them in a golden glow. "I bet we have such little time before someone finds us," he nearly whispered, moving closer to her with the flame twitching. "I know that song." He said, looking directly at her in the yellow fire from his lighter.

Aria continued to play the piano and was almost at the end of the song. Her voice echoed loudly but, she didn’t care. She hadn’t sung in a while and she needed to let everything out. It made her feel better. Towards the end she heard someone speak. She was in her own little world when it came to that. She was off somewhere not worrying about anything happening in the real world. She just let everything go and let her voice speak out while she was singing. She jumped a little bit when she had seen the light from the lighter and her hands went down on the keys and made a loud noise and then stopped playing. No one ever really heard her play and sing she turned towards the light and looked at him. ”Jack.” She glared at him. She knew of him but, she didn’t really know him. She knew he had been in her house.
“What do you care if I’m out anyways?” She said and glared at him. She wondered for a second if Unwyn had anything to do with this. She let out a sigh and ran a hand through her hair. “I’d prefer not to be in the common room right now.” She said looking the other way. Too be honest she really didn’t want to since she knew no one was really around she was afraid she’d run into her brother and she didn’t want to be stuck in the girls dorm forever. “Leave me alone Jack, I’m not in the mood right now so back off.” She insisted glaring at him hoping he would. Which, she probably knew he wouldn’t do.
Her hand went to her stomach and pulled her shirt down a little. She knew he would notice the bruises on her arms and stuff from her brother but, she didn’t care and even Unwyn. She was Unwyn’s anyways so he was allowed to do whatever to her. He wouldn’t allow her to remove her brother’s scars because, he wanted to be reminded. A small tear ran down her cheek and she hurried up and whipped it away. She was so sick of everything and didn’t know what to do. She had been so stressed out lately. Plus she was starting to fall for someone else.
She tilted her head looking at him oddly when he had said he knew that song she was playing. She smiled softly in an odd way. ”You know it? You know you’re the first one who’s like almost ever heard me play in a long time. It just helps me, it’s pretty much therapy for me.” She had told him. She wasn’t sure why she was telling him any of this but, she needed someone to talk to.

Jack raised an eyebrow and shrugged slowly. "I don't really care if you're out," he said quietly, leaning against a nearby wall and digging in his pocket for a box of cigarettes. Upon finding it, he took one out and offered the box to Aria. He watched, raised an eyebrow, when she let that one tear go and quickly swept it away. He looked down at his cigarette and lit it, pretending he hadnt seen her cry. The girls in this school surely did cry a lot. He listened as she talked about her outlit, noding slowly in the glow of his lighter. Jack walked over to the piano, lighting three candles that sat on top of it, then sat down on the bench. "We all have our outlets. I burn things," he said, flicking the switch on his lighter once more letting the little golden flame illuminate his face.
He looked up at Aria hard, clenching his teeth. He worked for Unwyn's brother; he knew the things that those guys did, he just tried to stay far away from it. "Listen," he started, glancing at the door and digging his wand out of his waistband. He flicked it and door closed and locked. "I'm not stupid. I work for Adyrian. I hear things, I see things. Meetings. Secrets." His voice was low, deep, husky. He didn't even need to whisper; his voice couldn't be heard it was so low. "If you need help, or if....he hurts you too bad, come see me. You learn a lot in the line of work I do with that family. I can hide you for a while. I can help heal the bruises faster. No one will know. But," he stood up and strode to her, very close to her face. He brought the lighter up so both their faces were golden yellow in the dungeon room. "If you tell, we'll both be sent to hell in a fiery blaze that neither of us can do anything about. Then he'll kill us. I'm trusted. And you're not the first girl to have those bruises from him. I jsut find it ironic that it's me that happens to wander upon you." He said quietly, touching her stomach lightly when he mentioned the bruises. Then pulled away and sat back down at the piano. "Don't tell me 'no'. If you don't want my help, simply don't come to me. ANd you should thank me either way." He said, letting his elbows find purchase on his knees.

Aria rolled her eyes at him when he mentioned he didn’t really care. “Then why did you say anything in the first place?” She had stated looking at him and saw him digging for something in his pocket. She looked at him oddly and then saw what he had pulled out. She sighed in relief, she hadn’t smoked in a while and she needed one. If her parents new anything about it they would be so angry with her. But, she didn’t care she had been at school now. She took one from him and then lite it. “Thanks, I needed one. My parents would kill me if they would catch me smoking. That’s why I always ask one off of someone.” She had told him. “I can tell you like fire; it shows in your personality.” She had told him and took a puff of her cigarette. “Yeah, my outlet is Music and Dark arts.” She said and rested her one elbow on top of the piano with her cigarette and looked at him as he walked over towards her.
Aria looked at Jack curiously when he said he worked for Adyrian’s brother. She let out a soft groan and looked down, he was probably just checking up on her or something. She looked back up at him and smiled when he said he could hide her. “Wait you got to be kidding me? You work for Adyrian?” She asked him. “Unwyn’s not the one who really hurts me. He’s quite gentle actually sometimes those are from my brother. Well most of them and from Unwyn.” She said quietly looking down again when he had touched her bruises and backed away a little holding her stomach. “I promise I won’t tell, not like I have anyone to tell anyways.” She said with a shrug. “And thank you for helping me Jack. Can you heal these for me?” She looked at him.

Jack grinned slightly as she took a cigarette and lit it. Parents. If only. His mother could have cared less the things he did when he was younger, let alone now! His father was a bastard that didn't even acknowledge the fact that he was alive. Jack eyed her suspiciously. He enjoyed his work, but he hated it when the Lestrange brothers treated girls the way they did. He was already falling too hard for Kayla, who the night he'd fallen for her she'd slept with Unwyn and received many scratches and bruises...and bite. So now, hearing that Aria was getting the same treatment, kinda put him out. He could take care of these girls. As long as neither of them said anything about how he was helping.
Scratching the back of his head, Jack reached into his back waistband once again and pulled out his wand. He pointed it at Aria's midsection and said a nonverbal incantation. The bruises turned yellow, aging in the process faster than normal, and eventually went away. "I don't know why you girls hang around him. He's clearly a mistake after you've been with him," he muttered, putting his wand away and taking out his lighter again. Scwhing, schwing. Open and closed when the little metal top.

Jack had been rather sweet to Aria and she was really happy after he had healed the bruises but, she had known the one person was going to be mad but, she didn’t care. It was like she could stop Unwyn from doing anything to her, she had to listen. She let out a sigh as he had finished heeling her and laid her head down on the piano looking at him. “Thanks for doing that, it means a lot.” She had told him. Aria looked at him curiously when he had said the next part. She didn’t know what to say honestly and she just shrugged at his words watching the lighter open and seeing the flames starting to feel a bit hypnotized by it. “I have to listen to him Jack, everything he asks me to do I have to do it. I’m his, I’m his property his girl. I’d be in so much trouble if I didn’t listen to him.” She said simply whether or not he liked it or not.

Jack sighed. It was clear he couldn't do much to help her. He could only do so much. But sometimes that was enough to make a difference in someone's life. "I want to know that story? How'd you become his? You weren't born his. So there has to be a story somewhere." He said, taking a long drag on the cigarette and letting the smoke out. He was interested in her. Why? He had his own reasons, but mostly because he just wanted to know. So many people in this school had secrets and lives outside of it. Standing int he room with Aria was a renowned killer; an assassin. If she only knew the thigns he'd done, she probablywouldn't be talkign to him at the moment. "Everybody has a story, Aria Windsor. What's yours?" he asked, eyeing her while the smoke slowly filled up the little room they were in.

Jack had been really easy to talk to, she seemed like she could talk to him about anything. He was really different. She took another puff of her cigarette which had tasted so good. He was asking about her life and everything and how everyone had a story. She didn’t know what to say about her and Unwyn. “Well it’s kind of complicated, I mean I know I wasn’t born his. I just well when him and I met it was a bit adventurous and we both ended up in the forest and hanging out. We hunted animals and played a game where who killed three in enough time and I one. I know it seems a little bit twisted and then one thing led to another and well we yeah and then yeah since that I’ve been his. I have to listen to him and his brother no matter what.” She had explained. Adyrian gave her the chills when she had been with him. She didn’t know why.
Aria had watched him as he had moved and how his body reacted and stuff and his facial expressions. She shrugged when he had said everyone had a story. “Well, I’m a princess. There’s not a whole lot to go off of. My brother and I hate each others guts well he’s not very fond of me. He abuses me a lot and I get tortured by him. Not everyone’s perfect you know and has the perfect life.” She said and explained. “I know everyone see’s me as this perfect princess but, I’m not. There’s a whole other side of me that just wants to come out. But, I don’t know what that is yet. Maybe I just need that right person to show me.” She said with a shrug.

Well Jack was at a loss. He did'nt know what else to say or talk about. A princess. Aria was a princess, and although Jack already knew that, it still surprised him. She just didn't seem the type to be a princess. He didn't see it. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I don't see you as a princess. If people did'n tknow, they probably would never assumed you were." He said, finally finishing the cigarette and putting it out on the ground. He nodded slowly, listening to her say things about another Aria wanting to come out. Jack knew that concept a little too well. TO some he was an elequent young man with a sad brother. TO others he was the best known assassin in the wizarding world. To himself, however, he was just Jack Dorsal, with a a knack for understanding how to get people to do and say what he wants. "Well, we could always get some drinks sometime if you'd like. I'm up for anything anytime. Just let me know," he said, playing with the lighter in his hand.

Aria was surprised she was letting herself get this close to Jack and show him the real her. Well not really the real her but, letting her trust him. She didn’t know why but, she knew she could for some reason. There was a really good feeling about. He was rather nice to her and he seemed like he would be the protective friend type. She normally didn’t get close to anyone; not even her brother. She looked up at him and smiled softly when he had said that he didn’t see her as a princess. “Thanks, that’s what I was trying to get at anyways. “ She said with a shrug. “Most people know who I am but, don’t know the real me.” He had explained to him.
It was nice having someone to talk to like this. She had felt so much better. She really hadn’t seen Dei or Sora’s around for the past couple of days and she was beginning to worry. She knew that Dei was probably with Knox or something. “We could go right now if you’d like? I’m not doing anything for the rest of the evening. I was going to go visit Unwyn in the morning. I’ve been trying to catch up on school work, that’s why I haven’t gone and seen him yet. My grades are slipping a bit.” She said with a sigh.

Aria's mention of Unwyn made his him look directly at her. Good. At least she was thinking about him. That part was good, for her anyway. It gave Jack something to ake back to Adyrian. "Yeah, let's go now. We could get a few drinks and be back before midnight," he said, standing up and going to the door, holding it open for her. He was glad he would have something to do for the next couple of hours. He really coudn't sleep and seeing as this conversation with Aria was getting more information, he wouldn't be abel to do anything else than try to put the pieces together from bits of the conversation. "Why are your grades slipping?" he asked, letting the door close behind them. The dungeons were very dark, with tiny little torches or lanterns lighting the way. Jack couldn't help but inwardly grin at the idea of Kayla coming down there with him. They would have fun with her being slightly scared. "I mean, what would keep you from studying, so your grades stay up?" he asked, shoving his hands in his pockets.

It felt nice being able to talk to someone like this. She trusted Jack a lot and she didn’t know why. She always was scared with trusting people and there were only a few very close people she could truly trust. Even some of her family members she couldn’t. Like her brother for instance was one, she sighed at the thought and looked back up at Jack and smiled softly when he said about getting drinks. She needed a few right now even though she wasn’t of age she still had a fake id that she had gotten from someone that she had known. “Yes, let’s go. As long as we are back before then, I don’t want to get into any trouble.” She had told him.
She walked out of the class room and stepped out into the hall as he had shut the door behind and looked over at him and continued walking. “There are just a lot of family things I have going back on at home. Being a princess is a lot of work and it takes time. Plus, quidditch is killing me right now and I love it so much I just don’t want to quit it.” She had said with a shrug. ”Anything else you would like to know?” She had asked him as they continued to walk.

Jack held the door open for Aria. Part of him, a small part, but a part nonetheless, felt bad that he was playing Aria. He wanted and needed information from her for Adyrian, and clearly, only she could give it to him. He enjoyed Aria’s company, but he was good at mentally keeping note that this was a business interaction. The cold night air was biting, catching Jack off guard. He flipped up his collar and zipped up light weight jacket. Suddenly, somehow, for some reason, Jack was aware of how the two of them might look if someone saw them. He truly hoped that Kayla never saw him with Aria. That would be a very bad shame, not to mention heartbreaking for both Kayla as well as himself. It wasn’t snowing, but it looked like it wanted to. He nodded to what Aria was saying about family affairs and being a princess, quidditch.
Jack shruggedI don’t know. Tell me about Unwyn. What’s going on with him? He’s in a coma, right? He asked, nonchalantly, digging another cigarette out of his pocket and lighting it with his Zippo lighter. The ‘schwing’ of the lighter brought make unbidden memories of his father. The man that had lied to Jack and to his brother countless times. The man that abused his brother whenever he got the chance. The sudden idea that maybe his father hit Shane for the attention of Jack came to his mind. It made him sick at his stomach, it made him wonder if it really was a possibility. He cleared his throat as he put the cigarette in his mouth. Yeah, so you and Unwyn were what exactly? Explain that whole thing to me. To the untrained eye it looks like you’re dating. To me….there’s more to it. You said you’re his…what does that mean? He asked, once again shoving his hands in his pockets as they walked down the dark, cold, and icy path to Vakkar.
