total appearance Midori has always been small, but because of her genes, she really isn’t going to be a very large person. At the age she is now, she is only an inch shorter than her birth mother at 4’7 and her birth father also isn’t a very tall man as it is so she isn’t going to grow very much more. To compensate for her height, she does enjoy wearing high heels to give her at least the smallest boost, sometimes making her about 4’11 if she wears the really high ones, but she finds those difficult to walk in most of the time.
She is also a very slender girl, built like a boy most people say. She really doesn’t have any curves to speak of, but she hopes they are just late at blooming and they will find her eventually. Midori only weighs about 65lbs and most people think she is only 13 or 14 just based on first glance at her small size.
Midori has big brown eyes, but she really doesn’t see anything significant about the color as much as she does with the shape and size. Her eyes are a beautiful almond shape and a bit large for her face but she enjoys accenting them with carefully placed eyeliner that tends to curl out at the corners of her eyes, also giving her eyelashes a fuller look.
Her hair color changes usually every month or so. She enjoys dying it, but she really doesn’t do anything outrageous with it like she has seen some people do. She really stays away from any colors that aren’t really natural hair colors, but her hair can vary from dark black (which is her natural hair color) to platinum blonde depending on how she wants to do it. The colors she likes the most, and tends to stick to the longest, are a light chestnut brown, a dark auburn, or an almost orange color that she feel compliment her skin tone.
Her hair style, despite the color, is almost always the same and she doesn’t really see the need to do anything different with it. She likes to keep her hair long, about mid back length and wavy. The degree of waviness is the only thing that really changes, sometimes just soft subtle waves to borderline curly, depening on how much time she has to get ready in the morning. She almost never straightens it because she doesn’t feel it does justice to her facial structure. She always keeps her bangs cut the same way however, right above her eyes and she really doesn’t do anything special with them.
Her clothing style would really be considered unique in most people’s opinion, and she really doesn’t know how she would categorize it. She wears whatever she feels like, be it plain jeans and a t-shirt or brightly colored tops and skirts, or dresses for no apparent reason. full personality Midori’s personality, to those who don’t know her, would probably be described as bubbly and inviting. She is very easy to get along with and she has tons of people that call her friends. However, she is very calculating as well, not really letting anyone get to know her as well as she is getting to know them. If she decides that she likes a person, she will open up to them, and tell them what they may need to know about her to develop some sort of friendship. However, if something happens and she decides that she doesn’t like someone, she will take what she knows and use it against someone for her own benefit whenever she sees fit. Whether it is throwing someone into trouble so that she can come out on top or just exploiting her knowledge for her own personal pleasure.
Most people don’t pick up on that side of her personality, because she is very good at hiding what she doesn’t want people to know. On the outside, and to most professors, she is very sweet and very smart, coming out on top of most, if not all of her classes. Although, sometimes she does use her sweetness to get what she wants and is very good at playing the sweet and innocent card for sympathy when she needs it.
Midori is a huge flirt and will flirt with anyone she thinks is cute. Although, she will flirt with someone she doesn’t like just to get something out of them, and she doesn’t really feel remorse for leading people along to get something that she wants. In her opinion, if the person is dumb enough to fall for her tricks then they don’t really deserve for her to feel bad for. Even though she does flirt and what not to get her way, she won’t go as far as to sleep with someone for personal gain, because that is beneath her. She is still a virgin and plans to keep it that way until either she gets married or finds the person she believes is right for her.
Despite everything though, if Midori finds someone that she deems worthy of a relationship, be it a friendship or more, she is amazingly loyal and will do anything for the people she loves. The people who she considers her friends are everything to her, and she would never do anything to hurt them and would protect them from whatever she would have to. Even though she is such a compulsive flirt, she would also like to find someone to fall in love with, and if this were to happen she would be the most amazing and loyal girlfriend possible. She has never really had a true relationship and is often curious to see what would happen if she were to find someone special. But until that time comes, she is happy just flirting for the fun of it.

complete history On July 28th 1997, Midori Hyŏng was brought into the world in Namyangju, South Korea. However, her parents were less than happy to be having a daughter. But as much as they didn’t want her, they couldn’t condone having her aborted once they found out she was a girl, and decided to carry her to term, giving her up for adoption once she was born. Her parents were both pureblood wizards from noble families and they wanted one child, a son to carry on their family name so having a girl was just not what either of them wanted. Her parents hadn’t set up a family or anything like that to take her in once she was born, so she was sent to an orphanage where she lived until she was just about a year old.
A few weeks before her first birthday, a Norwegian couple by the names of Ami and Elsa Bravik came to South Korea in hopes of adopting a little baby girl. They were a very well off couple, Ami, a business man, owning a chain of department stores and Elsa, a successful chef. However, unfortunately they were unable to conceive on their own and wanted a child to shower with love and affection as well as to have someone to leave all of their fortunes to whenever they were to pass on. As soon as their eyes met little Midori’s, it was love at first sight and they had to bring her home. After completing all of the necessary paperwork and everything that needed to be done, they were approved and were able to add her to their small family. They decided to let Midori keep her last name until she was old enough to make the conscious decision to change it if she wanted to in the future. They wanted to make sure she knew where she came from and so she didn’t forget her heritage.
Midori grew up an only child, in a very loving and nurturing home environment. However, when she turned around the age of 5, her magical abilities began to show, but in the eyes of her adoptive parents, they were just a series of peculiar events. They were both muggles and had no knowledge of the magical world, as most muggles don’t, so they really didn’t know how to explain what was happening. When Midori was angry or would throw a fit, things would fall off of shelves that she wasn’t even near, or vases would shatter in other rooms for seemingly no apparent reason. When she was excited, her stuffed toys would begin floating around her room, often ending up on very high shelves that she couldn’t reach by herself and she would have to call her parents in to help her get them down. They never figured out how she got them so far up there, as they were often too high up for her to have even thrown them so it really didn’t make much sense.
As she grew, her magical outbursts grew less frequent and only the occasional strange event would happen when she lost her temper or something. Her parents still didn’t know what to think at this point but decided just to ignore it really, rather than seek any sort of help as the events slowed as the years passed. However, once she turned 11, everything was explained in the form of a representative from the Ministry of Magic came to tell them that she was indeed a witch, and everything that had been happening to her was because of her magical abilities. He went on to explain that her birth parents been pureblood witch and wizard and their magical genes had obviously been passed down to Midori. He also explained that she had been accepted to a prestigious magical academy by the name of Durmstrang.
Her parents were hesitant to let her go, since she was all they had in the world, but they didn’t want to stifle anything about her and wanted her to learn how to use and control her magic as she saw fit so they gave Midori the decision to stay or go. Of course, her curiosity made her decide to go just to see what all the hype was.
Her first year was a strange one. She didn’t really fit in with most people because she had basically been raised a muggle her entire life. However, she did make a few friends and once she was able to prove her magical linage, she wasn’t seen as so much of an outcast. As awkward as it was for her to just be picking up magic, she did find that the Dark Arts came more easily to her than any of her other subjects. She also enjoyed Transfiguration, but by the end of her first year, she wasn’t all that good at it, although she knew that with work she would eventually be able to master it.
Her second year, was a lot easier than her first. Now that she actually had a feel for her powers, she didn’t feel like such a small fish in a big tank and actually felt like she fit in. This was also when she started using what little popularity that she had to get herself what she needed. This, caused her to get even more popular somehow and she found herself surrounded by a lot of peers who considered her to be their friend. This year, she finally got the hang of Transfiguration and also found most of her other subjects to come easier to her this year.
Her third year was an uneventful one, although she did finally make a few friends that she considered to be her friends and not just a one-sided friendship that she had with people before. She developed her first crush on a guy this year but she didn’t do anything about it for one reason or another and just let her crush fade into nothingness by the end of the year.
Her fourth year, she tried out for her house Quidditch team but the position of Seeker was already taken. Even though they offered her the position as alternate, she didn’t think this was good enough and decided just to not join the team. She decided she would try out again once they were in need for a permanent Seeker because she didn’t want to be second in anything. She continued to excel in all of her classes, but most prominently in the Dark Arts although she didn’t necessarily enjoy causing harm to others…it just came easily to her. [/ul]
