Theron couldn’t believe it had happen or the fact he had let it happen. He kept on racking his brain for the answer to how he could’ve stopped, but no matter how hard he thought it came up the same. His wand was broken and now he needed a new one. Now his parents hadn’t exactly been what’s the word.... thrilled when they found out that his wand was now... well.. broken... in three pieces... not working.
Pulling his cloak tight around him to keep the cold out he trudged towards Knarvik wands which is where he had gotten his first one. The snow crunched under his feet as he pushed forward. Why did his father have to get transferred to this frozen hell? Why couldn’t they have stayed in Italy where it was mild? No they had to be in Norway where it was a choice of freezing or more freezing. Pushing the door to the shop open he heard the faint tingle of a bell. Kicking the compressed snow off his boots out front he closed the door happy to at least be inside.
Shaking his hood off brown eyes scanned the shop. He had to admit there was something special about the wand shop that he liked. Looking around a bit he deiced to at least announce his presence to who ever was there. “Hello is anyone here?” he called hoping to get this over with.

Skylar was silent as he polished a wand he had created earlier that morning. He rubbed the wand with the polish in smoothly...sealing the wand's powers in with the handmade polish. He smiled as he sat the wand in the holder to dry and then turned as he heard the shop bell ring out in the shop. He picked up his black jacket off the chair and headed out into the shop as someone's voice carried off to him. Hello there. He said as he appeared in the doorway. He smiled at the student there, Hello there Theron Hudson. He said with a smile, What brings you to Knarvik Wands today? He asked with a smile. He knew of the boy very well...the boy was in the Sjenertt Katt house. He hadn't had him in Astronomy yet...but perhaps when the school reopened after the holidays he would be his class? Perhaps not...he wasn't really sure. Not many student's seemed to like Astronomy these days. He pushed that thought out of his head and smiled slightly.

Theron glanced up when he heard the shop keeps voice. Brown eyes saw the figure standing in the door way and his spirits dropped a little. It had to be a professor from Durmstrang didn’t it. Karma had to be creative right now didn’t it. “Hello Professor Stargazer. How are you?” he responded. True he hadn’t taken Astronomy yet, but he still knew the professor. Maybe he’d take Astronomy and learn about the galaxy. Then came the real question the reason why he was here today, heck he was a 5th year unless he really needed some polish then there wasn’t much reason for him to be here. “Umm... you see... just before break at school... umm.. my wand got broken in three pieces.” he answered stumbling over his words. He couldn’t help but feel stupid that he had allowed it to get broken. Looking at Professor Stargazer he bit his lip waiting to hear the ridicule for breaking his wand.

Skylar smiled as the boy asked him how he was, I'm doing well Theron. The holidays have put the shop in quite a boom of late...It has been stressful at some points but the profit has been extraordinary. he said with a grin at the thought, And how are you? He asked with a thoughtful look at the boy. The boy seemed nervous and somewhat uncomfortable with the fact that he was the one dealing with his wand issue.
He gave him a warm smile, Don't worry...I'm not angry..these things happen. He said with a smirk, When I was younger...around your age...I broke my wand once every few months... He said with a chuckle as he leaned against the counter, And if it makes you feel better...since this is your first time breaking your wand, it's on the house. He said with a smile.

Theron grinned when asked how he was doing, “I’m doing well. Just enjoying the holiday most of the time. I’m not a big fan of the freezing weather." he answered chuckling with a half smile. His hand slipped to the small pouch that his mother had put his broken wand into. Should he give it to Professor Stargazer or wait until asked about it? Probably just get it over with and let the professor see the damage.
His spirits were lifted a bit when he found out Professor Stargazer had broken his wand every few months. He let out a laugh thinking about a Professor actually having to come into a wand shop all the time because of one reason or another. When he mentioned that it would be on the house his jaw dropped, “You don’t need to do that. I have enough money." he stammered trying to keep his composure. Pulling the little pouch out he set it on the counter, “This is what’s left of my wand." he muttered looking at the pouch.

Skylar smiled at him, It is much warmer in England. He said with a shrug, But, Norway grew on me. he said with a gentle smile as he continued to lean on the counter. The boy had smiled at least which made Skylar happy...he would hate to think he made him nervous.
He looked the boy over for a long moment in thought as he took the boy's pouch and help it in his hand. He stared at the pouch for a long moment, What was your wand before it broke? What core...and what wood make up the wand within this pouch? He said as he ran a fingertip across the pouch for a thoughtful moment..., Don't worry son...it's shop policy. Your money is no good here today. he said with a wink as he emptied the pouch, pouring the broken shards of the wand on the counter for a more visual study. He picked up a broken piece of the wand and then put on glasses which magnified his vision and allowed him a closer look at the piece of wand in his finger tips.

“I’ve never been to England. I was born and raised in Italy till I was eight. Theron said as Professor Stargazer mentioned England, It was warm. he added with a small smile. He looked around the shop for a bit just liking being here for some reason. He snapped back to reality when Professor Stargazer asked him about what his wand had been.
Thinking for a moment he remembered the details, “It was a springy rosewood wand that measured ten and three quarter inches. Core was unicorn tail hair and billywig stinger.” he answered as Professor Stargazer poured the shards out to exam them. He remembered that it had been mentioned his wand was good for charms or something like that. When the professor mentioned that it was shop policy that the first replacement wand was free Theron blushed a bit. “Thank.... thank you professor.” he said biting his lip a bit.

Skylar grinned, I was born in England...uh...London to be exact..I would expect Italy to be quite a lot warmer than Norway...Actually, I spent my first day near there a few weeks back. He said with a thoughtful grin, In Greece, of course...it wasn't Italy...but I assume the temperatures are quite close. He said with dazed look as he remembered the meeting with his fiancee's parents and the amazing night in Greece they had together...
He looked at the wand carefully and then sat it down on the table, Rosewood is a very graceful wood...very beautiful to watch in motion. Unicorn hair is an amazing wand in Charms, as well as Transfigurations...but by far is the best in healing of any other core. He said with a smile, Billywig stinger cores are interesting..you see, they tend to bond to pranksters but they're also very hard to control...they seem to have a mind of their own with whether they want to do something correctly or not...Do these qualities sound like you Theron? He asked curiously as he looked at the boy for a long moment.

Theron chuckled at Professor Stargazer’s comment about Italy and Greece being the same climate wise. “Yeah they are pretty similar. I think Greece is a little colder though.” he answered with a smile. He longed for the warm sun and the sea breeze of Italy, but Norway was pretty if it wasn’t below freezing in the middle of winter. For some reason he wasn’t that nervous anymore, actually he was enjoying himself. He listened as Professor Stargazer explain what his wands components were strong in and if any of them related to him.
Bitting his lip a little he thought about the different properties that Professor Stargazer had just explained to him. The charms was defiantly something that was strong for him since that was one of his best classes. Graceful to watch, well he had taken dance when he was younger which could possibly relate to him. Then there was prankster yeah that was him when he was little and would have fun with the neighbor kids pranking others and getting pranked himself. “Actually charms are one of my strengths in school. So that’s pretty dead on for me, though I’m not good with healing spells. As for the prankster part when I was younger I was a good prankster and a bit of a energy ball. Then my mum made me take dance when I was younger to help with the energy problem and so I’m pretty graceful on my feet when I’m not tripping over them.” he answered with a shy smile. He had changed, maybe that was the reason behind everything that had happened.

Skylar listened to Theron answer whether his wand was like his own personality and smiled when he finished, Some people have a theory that when a wand breaks...it is only a sign that the wand is no longer compatible with the wizard it had once chosen. When you were younger you were much a prankster and high energy as you have said...but now that you are older, you are more balanced like a dancer...I suggest we find a more balance wand for you and move away from the core you had before... He said with a smile as he pulled down several black boxes...He looked into his eyes, Before you...are three different wands...all made of Rosewood...It is my belief that Rosewood does in fact suit you very well...but all three have different cores... He said as he pushed the first wand forward, This one is Rosewood, twelve and a half inches with the core mermaid scale fragment embedded within Unicorn Hair. He told him as he opened the lid off the box...the wand itself...was one of his favorite hand made creations...a gorgeous wand in both outer and inner beauty.

Theron listened to Professor Stargazer as he explained one theory about wands knowing when their owner had changed and thus broke as a sign. Well that could easily be possible since he had mellowed down a bit from when he was younger, but he still had the energy however he knew how to control it now.
He remembered when his wand broke he was practising Engorgio on a dinner roll. It had been acting up for a few weeks prior to that, but he didn’t think anything serious of it since wands were known to be a bit hard to control even when practising a spell they had learned during their third year. When the spell didn’t work the first time Theron had decided to try again which led to his wand cracking and then falling into the three pieces that were now on the counter of the wand shop.
Professor Stargazer explained that he believed Rosewood was the right wood for him, but they needed to find a balanced core. Theron had to agree with Professor Stargaze Rosewood seemed to have a special feel about it, yes he had held a few of his friends wands which were Ash, Cedar, or Pine just to list a few. They were nice, but they didn’t really feel right... of course that could just be the fact the wand wasn’t his. The professor looked him straight in the eye as he explained the first wand Rosewood, twelve and a half inches, with Unicorn hair and mermaid scale core. Theron had to admit the wand did look amazing, but was it for him. Picking the wand up he looked towards a dark corner of the store “Lumos” he said flicking the wand hoping it would do the right thing. Instead of a ball of light appearing and lighting up the shop the lights went out. Setting the wand back in the box Theron looked towards where Professor Stargazer was, “Umm I don’t think it liked me.” he said a little disappointment slipping into his voice.

Skylar watched as Theron picked up the first Rosewood wand and gave it a flick as he said lumos... for some reason Skylar wasn't really surprised the wand reacted the way it did. As soon as the wand was in the boys hands and the way he flicked it, he knew what the response of the wand would be. The wand was very picky...a very flick me the way I want to be flicked sort of wand...He smiled at the boy, No, perhaps not...I think she likes being held a bit differently... He told him with a chuckles as he took the wand from him and boxed it back up...He smiled at him, Never fear...I'm sure we will find it. He said with a kind smile, Let's try this one shall we?
Skylar pushed the next box forward and pulled off the lid for him, Rosewood, 13 inches, Raven feather and spiderweb. He said with grin as he looked at the wand...Raven feather produce a high level of energy and imagination, it is an amazing core for Transfigurations and Charms...Spiderweb works well with the creative as it helps to inspire them.. He whispered as he looked to the wand...the wand itself had been made during an amazing day for Skylar...the day he asked Soras to marry him h had thought of and welded this wand...a very interesting and creative wand indeed.

Theron smiled a bit as Professor Stargazer told him not to worry. He remembered being a first year and how he nearly went through half the store trying every wand until he had gotten his. That wand was now of course dead and useless. The next wand up was a beautiful piece of work. He listened intently as Professor Stargazer explained the properties of the wand. 13 inches, Rosewood, with a raven feather and spider web core. Good for Transfiguration and Charms. Chewing on his lip nervously he picked up the wand and felt the cool wood in his hand. Please work he thought as he thought of what to try.
Letting out a few breaths he cleared his mind a bit. Expecto Patronum he said clearly hoping his wolverine patronus or at least an incorperal one would be produced. At first nothing happened which was an obvious sign to Theron that the wand didn’t like him. As he went to put the wand back in the box smoke started erupting from the tip of the wand Umm professor I don’t think this is right. he said as flames started leaping from the tip of the wand. Some of the flames landed on his hand and lightly burned him causing him to drop the wand Ouch.... I definitely think this one isn’t right. he said shaking his hand to try and make the pain go away from the mild burns.

Skylar watched as Theron tried to perform a spell with the next wand and frowned slightly as it refused to react to him for a moment. His eyes widened slightly as the boy went to sat the wand in the box and the wand began to smoke and started to shoot flames towards the boy. Skylar reached out and took the wand in his own hands and began to stroke the wood of the wand for a moment to calm it down, No...definalty not. He said with a smile as the wand stopped its complaints and then he sat the wand back into the box and pushed it aside.
He stared at the next box for a long moment in silence...curious for the moment about the reaction this wand could respond to the boy with....he pushed the black box forward and pulled the lid off, Rosewood, 14" Unicorn Hair and Gnome Hat. He said with glance towards the wand...he had been the one who took the Gnome's hat from the unsuspecting Gnome the summer before...

Theron kept shaking his hand a bit as the burning sensation finally subsided. He watched as Professor Stargazer calmed the wand down and set it back in its box. As Professor Stargazer pushed the box away and stared for a moment at the last box. A few thoughts passed through is mind wondering why the wand maker/professor stalled for a moment. After a bit of silence Professor Stargazer spoke about the wand Rosewood, 14 inches, Unicorn Hair and Gnome Hat nothing more was said about the wand. Theron kept his eyes on the wand not touching it he knew about Gnomes and part of him didn’t particularly thrill with the fact his possible wand would have one of their hats in it. Gnomes were extreme tricksters and he wondered if Professor Stargazer was trying to play a prank on him. Looking up at the older man he questioned Professor if I may ask something. Why would you suggest a wand for me that has Gnome hat in the core? I mean it’s well known that Gnomes are mischievous tricksters and you did say that we should try to keep away from those type of cores. Unless I misunderstood you. He looked at the wand again trying to figure out if he should try the wand out.
