Elena has the typical Eyptian look. She has long thick dark brown hair that is naturally wavy. It comes down to just below her shoulder blades and that is how she likes it. Sometimes she will have her hair straight but that is only if she wants to put it up. if she tries to put her hair up without straightening it she thinks her head looks big and poofy and that is not a look she likes. Sometimes, not often though she may change the color of her hair from dark brown to a golden brown, but she prefers to keep it dark. She only changes the color of her hair if she is bored or just fed up with it.

Elena has always thought that she has had maybe a little too big for her head. But that was just her opinion. Her eyes are round and a deep chocolate brown. When she is angry though, her pupils tend to dilate so much that her eyes look almost black. When she is upset her eyes go a little lighter, to a more hazel color. When she was kid her parents were worried about that but the doctor said that some peoples eyes do change color due to their emotions. There is no scientific reason as to why that happens. It was a little odd, but her and her parents were relieved to know that there was nothing wrong with her.

Elena is not overly tall but she is not short either. Her height is roughly 5'7" without heels. She tends not to wear heels too high otherwise she just looks like a giant standing next to men. Her weight is roughly 115lb or just over eight stone which for her height is the healthy weight to be. Elena is slim and toned with long slender legs. She isn't extremely curvacious but she does have hips and a chest.

During the summer, Elena seems to get freckles across her cheek bones and nose. She hates it as it makes her feel like a five year old but some people have said it is cute. She also has a birth mark on her wrist that kind of looks like a diamond. Elena also has a very small scar on her forehead that you would only notice if she pointed it out to you. She did this in her second year when she fell off of her broom during a quidditch match. Luckily she was flying low so the head injury wasn't to bad. She had a mild concussion and didn't need any stitches.

Elena has a varied sense of style. It all depends on her mood. When she is working she likes to be dressed formally and look professional, so that would involve suit like clothes along with blouses and skirts. When she is out of work hours Elena will usually be seen in either jeans or a nice dress. Her dress sense is girly but not over the top. It is sophisticated with a hint of femininity. Sometimes she may wear something, like a necklace or earrings that represents her Egyptian heritage.

Elena does also have a few tattoos and piercings although she hasn't gone overboard with them like some people do. Elena has her ears and belly button pierced. She got her belly button pierced when she was drunk because she had heard it was painful. She was sixteen at the time. She also has two star tattoos on her wrist, they represent her parents. She thinks their amazing. Elena also has a rose tattooed on the back of her neck, just because she liked it.

Elena has quite a few strengths, especially when it comes to magic. She is very skilled in spells and charms, these were her favorite subjects while being home schooled. She mastered them quite quickly and passed the class with an O. Another strength of hers is she is good at potions. She also likes to experiment and try to create her own which sometimes works but usually ends in disaster. Luckily when she is experimenting she never makes the potion to strong to actually cause an physical harm. The only thing damaged is her pride. Elena is also fluent in reading and writing ancient Eygptian as well as speaking Arabic, her native tongue.

There are a few things that Elena is not so strong at. Like apparitions for example. That was a skill she struggled to master and even now she can never apparate too far. This is not something that bothers her, because she prefers to fly there anyway. Elena never passed her animagi class so she does not have an animagus form. She managed to change parts of herself while in class but never actually managed to completely change into an animal. it would have been cool if she could but she can't be good at everything. Elena thought the reason why she failed was because she was easily distracted back then and still is today. So her concentration isn't exactly great either.

Elena is a very relaxed and calm girl. She doesn't like confrontation and will often back down in a argument just to keep the piece. She has always been like this, even when she was a toddler. Maybe it was a need to be liked and if she didn't piss anyone off then maybe she would be liked. It seemed to work though because she did have quite a few friends and she was always a good friend to them. Elena is someone you can rely on and trust. If someone told her something and asked her not to tell anyone then she would take it to the grave with her. The only time she would break her promise is if it risked someones life. Elena is a very caring girl, she likes to help people, even those she does not know.

Even though Elena comes across a complete push over, she does have some back bone. Elena does not tolerate racism, that is the one thing that seriously angers her. Elena doesn't agree that muggleborns should be separated from purebloods just because of their blood line. Elena may look like she does not have a temper, but the girl is fiery. She gets that from her father. Most of the time she is calm and submissive but if there is something she feels needs to be said then she will say it.[/color][/ul]

Elena is a descendent from Snefru on her fathers side. He was a pharaoh and a very well known pharaoh.

Snefru was the first king of the 4th dynasty (2613 - 2589 BC). He ruled for an estimated 24 years. Unlike most kings, he was not declared kingship though birthright but through marriage. He was a superior military manager and advanced Egypt’s economy. Establishing trading routes along the Mediterranean, Snefru planned in moving ahead his empire to great lengths. His most famous contribution was the Bent Pyramid of Dahshur.

Like most Pharaohs, death was a very important aspect of Snefru’s life. He constructed the pyramid at Maidum, which was originally a seven-stepped pyramid. Once erected, the steps of the pyramid were filled in. This formed a true pyramid; however, eventually the pyramid failed and the outer casing soon collapsed. Although this pyramid failed, Snefru still did not give up. His next major plan was the construction of the Bent Pyramid located in Dahshur. Unlike his last project, the bent pyramid was planned as a pyramid. The sides soon became too steep and a quick fix was needed. They changed the degree of the pyramid which made the structure more stable.

Snefru will most likely always be known as being one of Egypt’s most prominent pyramid builders of his time. In addition, he will also be known as contributing to the continuous evolution of religious beliefs during his reign.

For the first few years of her life, Elena lived in Egypt. As a matter of fact her original name was Nefertiti Massri, but she changed that later in life. Elena loved living in Cairo. It was always warm and she was in the middle of a city that had so much history, hell the country had so much history. Elena never wanted to leave. Elena was the youngest in her family. She had a older brother named Pheonix who just loved playing pranks on her. It annoyed the crap out of her when she was younger but looking back on it she now thinks of those days as funny. There was one time though, that she didn't think was so funny. Her and her brother had decided to go down to one of the Pyramids that the ancestor had built. Elena always enjoyed exploring the pyramids, even if they did creep her out. When Elena was ten and Pheonix twelve, he had lead his baby sister down to one of the tombs, knowing for well she didn't really like them. Seeing the dead bodies there in the sarcophagus' just reminded her of a horror film where the mummies all come to life.

Pheonix had lead Elena deep into the tomb and once she was inside he locked her in. All Elena remembers is screaming and crying, there was also scorpions and huge spiders crawling around down there which didn't help. After what seemed like forever, Pheonix finally opened the door, laughing, but he soon stopped laughing when he saw the state his sister was in. When they got home Pheonix got the biggest bollocking of his life and Elena didn't speak to him for like a month. Her brother made it up to her though. He made her a sorry card and made her her favorite breakfast. Elena couldn't stay mad at her brother after that. The only problem now was was that she was terrified to go into the pyramids. It is something her brother has always felt guilty about and would change it if he could, but unfortunately you can't change the past.

On her eleventh birthday, her parents sat her down and told her that she was a witch. She found this hard to believe as she had never seen her mother or father, even her brother use magic and they had to prove to her that they were telling her the truth by performing simple spells. Elena didn't understand why her parents had never told her this, but their reason was simple. They wanted her to learn how to use and respect magic properly. Elena understood what they were saying. They had apparently done the same with her brother when he turned eleven. From then on, Elena was home schooled by her parents. All subjects were covered which Elena thought was alot, but it was also fun, learning about all this supernatural stuff.

During her schooling, Elena picked up two subjects rather quickly. Spells and Charms. She found those to be the most interesting lessons to learn. Probably because there were so many different spells and charms to learn. Her parents taught her and her brother as if they were at a proper magical school. So she had to learn things yearly. It was kind of annoying but if that was the law in the magical world then of course they had to follow them. The first three years of her schooling seemed to go by so fast. She picked up the lessons quite quickly and she thought it couldn't get any better. That was until she turned fourteen.

This would have been her fourth year if she had attended a magical school and now that she was fourteen her lessons were getting more harder and then was a lot more work involved. Elena began to find this difficult and she became a little bored, so like most teenagers, she rebelled. Getting involved in the wrong crowd and such. She wasn't much of a leader, more a follower. She hung out with them because from a distance they looked cool and fun. However, Elena soon realised that they were not cool or fun. They were all into dealing drugs and stuff and Elena soon became afraid of them. The only problem was was that she didn't know how to escape from the group. She thought they may try to hurt her. Her father, who had been watching her closely had asked one of the guards, who had been protecting the descendents from the Pharaoh families for generations, asked him to get his daughter out of the crowd. Elena isn't sure what happened, but the next day when she woke up, the crowd was gone and her father was explaining to her about the ancient guards.

Elena was back on track for her fifth year. She still struggled but after what happened in her fourth year she stuck to studying and doing her best to pass her fifth year. She thought it was great being taught by her parents. They were someone she could talk to about anything and she could easily go to them when she was having trouble with her homework. The only down side was was that she couldn't fake an excuse as to why her homework wasn't done. In her fifth year, Elena met a boy by one of the pyramids. At first she thought he was abit of a asshole and he annoyed her to begin with. He seemed to enjoy teasing her and following her around all the time. Elena didn't get it, not until she told her brother. Pheonix said it was because the boy liked her, which Elena didn't believe until she confronted the guy. For some reason this changed the way she looked at him. She realised it was because she liked him to.

They hung out for a few months and then at the beginning of her sixth year they became a couple. Elena was totally taken by him and it was distracting her from her work. This was the reason why she failed Animagi and Apparitions. Well she just about passed Apparitions, but only because she was able to apparate five feet without splinching. Elena fell in love with the guy and he was the first guy she slept with. To her it was magical, something she never forgot. They dated for a little over a year. The only reason they broke up was because he was moving to Spain. Elena knew that it wouldn't work, so they thought it best to end things as they are and remain friends. Elena was heart broken but she would rather have him as a friend than not at all. They sent messages to each other week, which soon turned to every month. It eventually died down to nothing. Elena was gutted, but there was nothing she could do.

Before she knew it, she was starting her seventh year. Her final year of studying. She already knew what she wanted to do. She wanted to go to Norway and work at Durmstrang. She had never been to a magical school before so this was her dream. Yes it was far away from her family, but if she wanted to make her own life she needed to break away from them. So Elena put all her time and effort into studying and making sure she passed her final year with the marks she deserved. Which she did. Her parents were proud of her, but they were upset knowing they were having to let their daughter go. Elena stayed for the summer, she wanted one last summer with her family before she left for Norway.

It was an emotional fairwell, but they knew it would be good for their daughter to go and explore her career. When she first came to Norway there were no vacancies going. Which sucked, she wanted to be a professor. But there were jobs on the hospital wing. Elena knew quite abit about first aid, muggle and magical, so she took it. Elena has now been working on the hospital ward for five years and she quite likes it. Elena knows she is helping people so that makes it all worth while.[/color][/ul]
