A simple introduction:

Dear 5th and 6th Years,

I am pleased that you have chosen to take Ancient Runes as part of your curriculum here at Durmstrang. Ancient Runes is a difficult and particularly hard to master magic but will be very rewarding to any who are willing to put there effort into mastering it! I do not expect many who enter the class to master or even gain a good grasp on Ancient Runes...many students do not have the patience or magical skill needed, but to those who do grasp the talent I will mold and shape you into fine witches and wizards of the Noble Art!
