It was Sunday night and Dylan was supposed to be patrolling tonight with Cayden. It kind of irritated her that she had to patrol, on a sunday night as well. She had classes in the morning. Dylan was in her pajamas and she wasn't going to get dressed. She actually felt comfortable for the first time today. She had just managed to slip on her black slipper boots and was now making her way down to the head boy/girl common room. When she got down there she couldn't see Cayden at all. She rolled her eyes and laughed a little to herself. He was never on time. "Cayden! Come one!"

[/color] Shouted Dylan up towards his room. She didn't know why but for some reason everyone had to patrol in pairs. She guessed it was so that there was another witness to prove they were doing the job properly.

As Dylan waited, she felt a sharp pain at the side of her stomahc. She inhaled a sharp breath and took a few more deep breaths. The pain soon subsided and she didn't think anything more than the baby just moving around or kicking. She had had that alot lately. Dylan twirled her wand between her middle and index finger as she waited for Cayden, hopefully he wouldn't be too long now.[/size][/blockquote]

Cayden pulled on a pair of black jeans and a white hoody before sitting down to lace up his converse. He could hear Dylan calling for him up the stairs and he couldn't help but grin. He grabbed his wand off the bed and headed out of his dorm door. He walked down the stairs and gave her a big hug, Dude..you sure do like getting stuff started early don't you? He teased. He let go of her, Dude..I've been waiting forever..your like so slow Dylan...I suggest you starting moving faster or that kid in you will soon outrun you. He said with a playful wink...He knelt down to her tummy and grinned up at her before placing his head against her stomach, Hello there little one...I've missed you so much...come out an see me soon okay? I have so many wonderful things to show you and spoil you with. He kissed her stomach and then stood up, I wish she was here already...it's driving me mad. He said with a small laugh.

Dylan looked at the clock to see if they were early or not. They were a little early but not by much. Dylan just playfully rolled her eyes at him. He then pulled her into a big hug which took her by surprise, but she didn't reject the hug, she hugged him back. It was a little strange that they were now getting along so well when just a week ago they weren't even talking. Dylan was just glad that he was going to be involved in bringing up their daughter. The hug broke and he decided to tease her even more. "Well if you have been waiting ages then how come I'm down here waiting for you?"

[/color] She asked corking a eyebrow at him and smirking. Even though Dylan had told him she wasn't interested in getting to know or becoming friends she could feel a friendship forming.

Dylan smiled down at Cayden as he spoke to their daughter, resting his head against her tummy. She thought it was cute, and it also made her happy to see how eager he was to see their daughter. "I'll be glad once I've giving birth. I'll be glad to look down and see me feet."[/color] She joked. Ofcourse she was excited on the arrival of Aoibheann. Yes the name was unusual, but that was what she liked about it. It was also pretty aswell. "I'm joking. I can't wait for her to be born either."[/color] She said as she thought about what it would be like once she was born. Cayden smirked at her as she comment back on his teasing about her being the one running them late. He grinned at her and gave her a raised eyebrow. Sure, they probably wouldn't get to the best friend point anytime soon but they were heading in a very positive direction...and that was such an excellent thing for the future of their daughter... Everything was for their daughter now.

He couldn't help but laugh, Yea...you were pretty fit when I first met you. It's kinda strange to see you all huge and stuff now. He said with a laugh and a wink. He shrugged at her questions, Things aren't going anywhere...it's not gonna work out...me and her...It's just not what I want... he said looking away slightly in thought...Sure...he had thought he had been sure about her but the more they were together, he realized he wanted to be just friends with her...and there was someone else. Though he wasn't sure he was gonna admit it to anyone yet...

Dylan laughed and shook her head a little as Cayden teased her. It was as if they had never argued and been friends all along. Dylan wasn't going to think about that too much, they were now getting along and that was the main thing. It had taken him awhile to accept that he was going to be a father but he had got there, before their baby was born which was even better. When they left the common room the corridors looked deserted, as if no one was around for miles, but Dylan knew where people sneaked off to to make out and what not. She used to be one of them before she got pregnant. Now she no longer did that. She hadn't through out her entire pregnancy and boy had it been tough.

That was Dylan, the walking whale of Durmstrang. She could not wait to give birth and finally fit back into her skinny jeans. "Yep that's me, Shamoo."

[/color] She said smirking as she waddled down the corridor next to Cayden. Most girls were told that they were glowing, beautiful infact, but no, not Dylan. Well she had been told she was beautiful by Dantais. The first time infact anyone has ever called her that. It was.......nice. She remembered blushing when he called her beautiful, and she still did when she thought about it. Dylan could feel her cheeks flush a little as she thought about him. "Oh, so you guys are broken up? That's too bad, but then if your not happy with her then there is no point in pretending."[/color] Said Dylan.

They continued walking for abit, when Dylan felt another sharp pain in her stomach. Her breath hitched in her throat and she stopped walking as she held her side, breathing through the pain. It couldn't be labor yet. It was too early. Maybe it was false labor that cna happen. Dylan supported herself by leaning against the wall as she took deep breaths. After a few seconds the pain subsided and then went completely. Dylan straightened herself up, now able to walk again. "That was weird."[/color] She said more to herself than Cayden.[/size][/blockquote]

Cayden smirked at her. What's a shamoo? He asked her with an eyebrow raised as she watched as she waddled beside him down the corridor. He wasn't really sure what she called herself but was sure whatever it was that she wasn't like that... He wasn't sure if she was referencing some sort of muggle thing or a foreign thing..He nodded, No your right...there is no point in pretending. Life is too short. He told her....he bit his lip, Can I tell you a secret...like something so secret that the entire school wouldn't believe it...? He asked her with a nervous tone in his voice.

His attention froze as she grabbed her sides and leaned against the wall...he touched her arm in fear worried eyes locked on her...hun...what's going on...that wasn't just weird...maybe we should go to the hospital wing... He begged her....something in his chest told him that they needed to get there now.

For a moment, Dylan's eyebrows went up. It then dawned on her that maybe he didn't know as much as she did about the muggle world. "Shamoo is the name of a whale."

[/color] She said laughing a little. The laugh stopped though when he asked her if her could tell her something. It seemed as though it was going to be big and from the look on his face he was being totally serious. "Ummm sure. What is it?"[/color] She asked frowning a little out of curiosity. Dylan had no idea what it could be, but now that he had said that he wanted to tell her something secret there was no way she was going to let him back out of it now.

She heard what he had said, and part of her didn't want to worry and go running off to the hospital wing, but something told her it was the right thing to do. She didn't think the baby was in danger at all. "Ummm."[/color] And just as she was about to reply, her water broke. Her eyes went wide as it shocked her and she was now very uncomfortable. "That's probably a good idea."[/color] Said Dylan as it dawned on her that she was now in labor. Dylan held onto Cayden's hand as she walked with him to the hospital wing. Luckily, they weren't too far from the hospital wing so it took only a few minutes to get there.

Cayden smirked at her whale comment, he couldn't help but think that Shamoo was such an unusual name for a whale. By the way she laughed at it herself, he couldn't help but wonder if she could agree with him that the name was quite strange. As the subject turned to a more serious matter, he could not help but get incredibly nervous. He looked into her eyes as she also got a more serious look on her face as she waited to find out what his secret was. Like no one...not even my brother knows that I'm bisexual...and honestly I think I may be more gay then anything now. I have like this insane crush on this boy I've known for years now named Kyle and as much as I try to deny it...I think I want to be with him. He told her.

Shock hit him as he noticed her water break...all he could do was nod and urge her towards the hospital room, Kasey? Elena? Somebody!!! He called out as the came to the doors and he pushed them through... nothing in his body or mind was quite ready for this...but as he peered around he knew the time has come whether he was ready or not.

Elena headed back to her desk, all she needed to do was file some paper work and then she was done for the night. Today had been quiet. Not many students had ended up at the hospital wing. Just a few first years who had been jinxed or something but nothing that would cause them to stay over night. Elena sat down at her desk, putting some paper work away when she heard the doors open and a boys voice calling for her and Kasey. Elena got up and walked out of her office and into the main room where she saw Dylan and Cayden. Cayden looked panicked and Dylan looked, wet. Elena knew straight away that Dylan was in labor. "How long ago did your waters break?"

[/color] Asked Elena as she helped Dylan onto a bed.

Elena pulled her wand out, flicked it and within seconds a file floated over to her. Elena caught it and opened the file. According to file, Dylan still had another month left, but it wasn't unusual for a women to go into labor early. Elena also checked that Dylan didn't have any allergies just incase they had to use something to help the birth along. Elena flicked her wand again and a unflattering hospital gown came floating over. "Ok Dylan we going to have to get you out of these clothes and into this."[/color] Said Elena holding up the gown. She then turned to Cayden. "Cayden will you wait outside please while she gets changed. I'll let you know when you can come back in."[/color] Said Elena softly.[/blockquote]

They arrived at the hospital wing, Cayden in a panic, Dylan in pain. This was certainly something she was never going to forget. Not long after they arrived, Elena came out. Dylan had been seeing Elena through out her pregnancy, she had done all the scans and told her what to eat and what not to eat. Elena had been a great support. Looking Cayden, Dylan realised that over the last month he too had been a great help aswell. On days she didn't attend lessons because she had bad morning sickness things like that. Dylan really appreciated. She squeezed Cayden's hand tightly as another contraction started. Bloody hell this baby was determined to come out of her. Dylan took in a few breaths as Elena asked how long ago her waters broke. "Umm five maybe ten minutes ago. I also got a few pains before they broke."

[/color] Said Dylan as the pain began to subside again.

As Elena asked Cayden to leave, Dylan looked back at him with a smile that was mixed with excitement and nervousness and she went with Elena. Elena drew the curtain and then began to help Dylan out of her pyjamas. Good thing she didn't wear anything nice tonight. Once Dylan was in her birthday suit she slipped her arms into the ugly gown and turned around so Elena could tie it up for her. Dylan rubbed her stomach and sighed. "You ever delivered a baby before?"[/color] Asked Dylan as she looked around at Elena. Dylan didn't think it would matter if she hadn't. Elena was a good nurse and knew what she was doing, but maybe it will be a little more comforting to know that she had. A few minutes later and Dylan was on the bed and the curtain was being drawn back, allowing Cayden to come back in.[/size][/blockquote]

Cayden looked nervously at Elena as she told him to wait outside so she could change...part of him was frozen by her side but part of him couldn't wait to get out of there...He felt the terror in his stomach knot up as the thought hit him. He finally regain the ability to move and pratically bolted out of the room into the hallway...part of him wanted to run from the scary event inside the room taking place but he couldn't...his daughter was on the way and he had to be there for her. He closed his eyes and leaned against the wall outside of the door...his stomach flipping violently as he realized he was being allowed back in..

He gave Dylan a nervous smile as he came back in and came forward towards the drawn back curtain. You okay? He asked quietly as he joined her side again. Nerves and anxiety screaming underneath his skin but he tried to keep a steady and sure look on his face...not wanting to scare her or put his own anxiety in her...He wanted this to run smoothly. He reached out and squeezed her hand slightly...only pulling away slightly to give the nurse room...

Dylan told Elena that she had started getting the pains roughly ten minutes ago. It was pretty quick for her waters to break now but then again no pregnancy was as simple as you were taught in med school. Each pregnancy was different. Some were quick, some were long and the labor went on for hours. The main thing was that as long as the baby was delivered safely then that was all that mattered and of course that the mother was safe aswell. "Ok I just need to check how dilated you are."

[/color] Elena let Dylan get comfortable on the bed before chcecking which was done in seconds. "Your three centimeters all ready. Maybe you won't have a long labor."[/color] Said Elena with a smile.

Cayden came back into the room, looking scared and nervous as hell. All first time dads had the same look, but he was also very young to be becoming a father, but Elena didn't judge them. They seemed to have everything sorted. Both came from wealthy families so money wasn't going to be an issue. Dylan asked Elena if she had delivered a baby before. Elena looked back to Dylan with a reassuring smile and nodded. "Yes I have. I know what I'm doing so you don't have to worry. All you need to do is relax and save your energy for later. Easier said than done I know, but you have nothing to worry about."[/color] Said Elena confidently. Elena went over to her desk, which was just a few feet away from where Dylan and Cayden were and began sorting out files and stuff. She had planned to do this and then head off to bed, but clearly that wasn't going to happen tonight.[/blockquote]
