Krystyna sat at the lake on a rock. She was dressed in a pair of dark jeans, knee high black heeled boots, a fur coat and fur lined gloves. She had the collar of her coat pulled up around her neck in an attempt to hide her tears. She had never had her heart broken before. Not only did Aydin break her heart but he broke it hard. Krystyna reached a gloved hand up to her eyes to wipe away a few tears. She knew it was stupid to still be crying about it weeks after the dance but it still hurt and it still hurt bad.

Krystyna remembered gushing to Soras about Aydin, talking about she was sure she had finally found a boyfriend, one who would care about her and one that was hot. Krystyna thought about those words she had exchanged with her best friend over coffee and her cheeks burned. She felt embarrassed. She couldn't even face her best friend right now. Had she imagined that there was something there? Was it all something fake? or had Aydin played her? She still wasn't sure.

Krystyna tried to hold back some of the tears but they simply kept coming no matter how hard she tried. Krystyna let out a small sob and laid her blonde head into her gloved hands. She looked down at the snow and watched her tears fall.

Cayden walked down the hall alone without a single glance at other students. It has been a little over a week since he and Shaylyn had broken up but it still really really hurt. He couldn't believe it was over. He had thought she and he could of lasted forever. As angry as he might of been about the entire situation he sorta missed her. He didn't want her back. He was far from that point but he couldn't help but close her eyes and think of her beautiful smile. He growled slightly as he pushed her face out of his mind for the millionth time today. He needed to get over her, he thought, he needed to move on. He just wasn't sure how to do it. Part of him wanted to rip the pretty smile off her face...but he needed to refrain himself, if he could. He knew he couldn't go near her without possibly killing her. He had so much rage built up...but part of him still loved her didn't it? He wasn't sure anymore...but there was only one way to get over her and that was to move on...move forward. Or at least go with a few girls until he could get what he wanted from them....

He walked out into the recent snow that had fallen across the grounds and wasn't really surprised by it. He was use to Norway's climate, he had been their his whole life. This morning he had thrown on his dragon hide boots along with ripped up blue jeans and a black hoody. His hair was a little messier than he usually liked to keep it, mostly because of the stress he had been under since the break up but he didn't really care.

For some reason he had decided to head out towards Gjende lake but that was where he was headed. He wasn't really thinking of the lake but he would head there anyways because that seemed to be where his body wanted to go. As he reached the lake his eyes fell on a familiar figure that he hadn't seen recently and it made him kinda sad. He approached her quietly and couldn't help but feel the sadness radiating off of her. He frowned and gently lifted her head as he knelled in front of her, Why are you crying my Diamond? He asked her with a look of sadness in his own eyes....

He hated to see her beautiful eyes cry...when her, Sophie, Soras, or Adele cried it ate him up inside...They were are all way to beautiful to be crying...his protective side would beat the shit out of anyone who dared to make them cry. He loved them all so much...they were his family, well sort of...he couldn't help but be reminded how sexy each of them were...but he had never dared to cross the barrier with any of them...not yet at least. He wasn't sure why either..Sophie was hot, but such a pain sometimes...Soras was pretty but he just couldn't get into all of this worship stuff she spoke of....Adele was Artemis' and he would never ever cross that boundary..Arty was his best friend...Krystyna was the only one he wasn't really sure of a reason not to go for her....she was gorgeous but he had never crossed that line...

Krystyna felt the tears fall down her face and she didn't even care about the approaching footsteps that was until she heard that voice, his voice. When Cayden lifted her face she couldn't help but smile. Cayden had always been so close to her. One of her best friends. A memory flashed through her mind. Cayden covered in blood, her arms around him. Even though the moment was insane at the time, there was something new that she was remembering about that memory. How right it felt to be that close to him. Sure she had always had a crush on Cayden but she always figured that he only thought of her like a little sister. Not to mention he was with Shay. Not that she really deserved him. There was a certain darkness that Krystyna and Cayden both shared. Something that can't be learned or taught. Krystyna pushed those thoughts out of her head.

Hey Cay she sniffed trying to wipe a few tears away but still missing some. It was then she noticed the sadness in his own eyes. She couldn't help but wonder what had happened. She almost asked but then she remembered that he asked her first and if she asked him what was wrong he would accuse her of trying to change the subject, which she was famous for doing. its nothing.... its just boys are stupid.. at least some boys are... like Aydin Bennett her voice cracked and tears streamed down her face. With the tears came the whole story.

I met him awhile ago and he asked me out on a date and he seemed so sweet and amazing. I know I shouldn't have fallen so hard so fast but I have never had a boy like me before. I really really liked him. He even got me on a broom. Me on a broom Cay! Remember all the anxiety attacks I had my first year just trying to get on one that was on the ground? But no he got me up in the air... pretty high too. I was too busy liking him to worry about where I was and what I was doing...I thought everything went so well. I half expected him to ask me out again. After a little bit and he didn't ask me out, I didn't really worry. I mean that's what guys do right? They wait awhile before asking a girl out. Well the ball came and I got all dressed up hoping to spend the night dancing with him. But instead I saw him leave with that boy. God whats his name? Neko or something like that. Krystyna continued to cry letting the tears fall down her cheeks. She had held it all in for the longest time and now she was letting it all out. She was comfortable enough with Cayden to tell him this. She knew he wouldn't laugh at her for falling so hard or tell her that she shouldn't expected so much from one date. She new he wouldn't judge her.

Cayden watched as she tried to wipe the tears from her eyes. He frowned slightly and brushed some of the stray ones from her eyes with his fingertips lightly. As she began to speak about her troubles with Aydin Bennett he frowned slightly. He really didn't like that boy, but not because he had done something to him personally...but because he was the boyfriend of someone he hated, Neko. He listened to the whole story of how he had swept her off her feet and basically let her fall to her death afterwords. He growled as he wiped more tears from her face, He doesn't know what he is missing. Your an amazing girl sweetie. You can do so much better than a stupid little jock boy. He smiled at her and looked into her pretty eyes, He is so not right for you anyways. Your a Diamond and he's a piece of dirt...you need someone who can understand you...someone that compliments the beauty in you and the darkness. He whispered as he stared into her eyes. He thought of Neko and smirked, I would love to just beat the shit out of both of them, Aydin and his boyfriend Neko. He said with a frown.

He pulled her into his arms tightly, You don't need to cry for a guy like that...he is no good for you. You need someone better...someone who can treat you like you deserve..someone like me. He said boldly.

Krystyna sighed and melted into Cay's arms. She placed her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. The soft rhythm comforting her and causing her tears to stop falling. Cayden's arms felt like home. Like a place she never wanted to leave. They were walls, blocking her pain from coming in. They were her protectors. She couldn't help but admit to herself that she would love nothing more then to watch Cay beat up Aydin after what he did and how he hurt her.

She had always had a crush on Cay as long as she could remember but she had always figured that she was nothing more then like a sister to him. She always wanted to be in his arms. When he said that she deserved someone like him, she froze. Krystyna looked up into Cay's eyes. Really Cay? she said looking at him. He had just said the words she had always wanted to hear. Words she had accepted that she never would. She realized that to him she really was a diamond. He had always called her that but Krystyna had just figured it was a nickname. She couldn't help but think about how perfect it felt in his arms. Like she belonged there or something. If it was anyone else, Krystyna wouldn't trust them but she knew that Cay would never hurt her. He would never do something like get her hopes up and then break her heart.

Krystyna looked deep into Cayden's eyes with a small smile on her face. You don't know how long I have wanted to hear that from you Cay. I have had a crush on you for a long time but I always thought you just saw me as a sister. I.. I don't know what to say Krystyna giggled and looked away blushing slightly.

Cayden smiled at the surprise in her eyes... Really. He said wrapped his hands around hers and squeezing them gently in his. He tilted his head as she continued to speak, he words making him smile. Don't say anything at all, just kiss me. He said leaning forward and pressing his lips gently against hers...was this a step in the moving on process? He hoped so. Her lips were soft against his, and warm regardless of the cold...he enjoyed the way she tasted. He let the kiss continue for a long moment and he pulled apart gently smiling at her, You and me, that's something I can believe in. You and me are right together...Look me and Shaylyn broke up hun...she hurt me...she slept with a damn vampire, can you believe it? What type of girl lets a dead guy have sex with her? He rolled his eyes and ran a hand through her hair gently, I'm not ready to jump in another big relationship yet...but maybe we can try this thing we have together? Let me take you out on dates and see if it develops into something more serious? He asked her gently before kissing her again...Her lips felt really good against his...he wasn't sure if it was his hormones or if he was actually falling for her more as they kissed but he enjoyed it.

He rested his head on her chest burrowing in on the fur there from her outfit...enjoying the warmth of it against his face as he waited for her answer....

Krystyna gasped slightly and melted into Cayden's kiss. It wasn't like the way Aydin's kiss at all. When Cayden kissed her it was soft and loving. The kiss felt so right. With Cayden it didn't feel like she was hurling to the ground praying he would catch her. Krystyna was falling but it wasn't as fast and hard as she was with Aydin. With Cay it was more like she was falling but she was doing it in his arms. Aydin had made her heart pump when he held her but Cayden's arms felt like where she belonged.

She couldn't help but be a little shocked when Cayden said that Shay had cheated on him. She had never expected that, not in a million years. Krystyna had always thought that Shay was to good to do something like that. Then again its always the good girls that get tangled up in stuff like that.

I can't believe she did that Cay Krystyna said Any girl that would cheat on you and break your heart is either an idiot or blind to the amazing thing that they have. Your no ordinary boy, Cay. That's what I like so much about you. That's why you have always been my friend. You are one of the only people who have ever understood me. You accept me fears, faults and all. You don't mind if I spend all my time either hunting or with my nose in a book. You get me. That's why I have liked you for so long. You share my beliefs. I have told you things about me not a lot of people know and after what happened recently... Krystyna stopped not wanting to say it aloud but she knew Cayden would know what she was talking about. We share a certain darkness that not a lot of people understand. We believe things many people think is wrong but we both believe it. And we have each other so what does it matter what other people think?"

Krystyna cuddled into his chest before she continued speaking I agree Cay. We have both been hurt recently and I don't want to ruin what we have if its not going to work. I am not saying that I don't want to be with you unless its forever. I am just saying I don't want to jump into being your girlfriend and then in a week realize that we don't work or fall really hard and then you realize that you don't feel the same way. There's no reason for us to rush. If its meant to happen then it will happen if not we can continue being friends. Krystyna melted into another kiss she couldn't help but feel that this was right. Like this was the way it was supposed to be. They just felt so... right together.

Cayden smiled at her as she tried to comfort him on Shaylyn. It felt good to hear her compliment him and even better for her to shed her true feelings for him. Shay had broken his heart so bad she had brought him to near insanity. Krystyna was so very different from Shay. She was brave and a strong believer in the things that he also believed in. He understood her as much as she understood him. Part of him wished he could take back ever meeting Shay...wishing that he could of fallen in love with his Diamond instead...Krystyna and him could rule the world together but he didn't want to fall to fast this time and a part of him was still madly in love with Shay. It hurt way to much to even think of her anymore. He wrapped her arms around her as she snuggled into his chest. He was relieved when she agreed to at least take the relationship slow...Sure part of him wanted to rip her clothes off and fall head first....but the other part wanted to protect her...to take his time with her. Not that he would say no if she pushed for it...he just respected and loved her way to much to treat her like any other girl. Krystyna was gorgeous and had a darkness inside of her that brought him to his knees.

He kissed her deeply again. Enjoying the way she tasted...her kisses weren't like Shay's who always has a sweetness to them. Kissing Krystyna was like something entirely different...it had a sort of intense darkness to it that made every inch of his body feel electrified by each touch of the lips... It was like each kiss allowed them to share dark magnetic energy to each other. He had to admit...he could defiantly get used to making out with her. It felt so right and so wrong but he didn't care... He slowly kissed her deeper and let his hands travel down her back....before lowering his lips to her neck and nibbling on her flesh there. He pulled up slowly and gave her a sexy grin before kissing her forehead, Somehow I don't see me getting bored of this any time soon. He whispered into her ear... I love the way that you taste. I can't wait to see what becomes of this. He told her as he lifted her wrist to his mouth and kiss the inside of her wrist with gently tingly kisses.

Krystyna loved the comfort that Cayden gave her. The safety she felt. They could take on the world together if they really wanted to and she liked that feeling. She couldn't help but want to remember every detail. The sound of his voice, the beat of his heart, how sweet his lips tasted. She loved the way that his kisses had passion in them but it wasn't the same passion that Aydin's kisses had. When Aydin had kissed her there was passion but something about it had felt forced. The more she thought about it the more she thought that Aydin's kisses felt like lies.

Cayden's hands on her back felt like electricity. Something about his touch felt like sparks on her skin. She loved the way it felt. His lips on her neck brought another gasp from her. Krystyna couldn't help but giggle when Cayden said that he was sure that he wasn't going to get bored anytime soonI hope not. I would hope that I could entertain you. She giggled again. I have to agree with you Cay. I think if this works out we will make a pretty awesome couple His kiss on her wrist sent more shockwaves up Krystyna's spine. especially if you keep doing stuff like that. Krystyna wrapped her arms around Cayden and nuzzled his neck

So Should I kick Shay's ass? or is dating me enough revenge for you? Krystyna laughed. She had never really liked Shay to begin with and the fact that Shay broke Cayden's heart just made her hate the girl even more.

Cayden couldn't help but smile. Each sound she made...from the giggles to the gasps of pure excitement he was giving her excited him. It felt good making her smile. She was adorable and so deadly, it was one of sexiest combinations he had ever seen in a girl. Sure he was barely over Shay at the moment but something about Krystyna made it easier with each kiss they shared. He loved the way she tasted and couldn't help but want more. His hormones were driving him insane...begging him to push further....but he held tightly to the ground instead trying to hold onto his lust before it bottle over.

Her words made him smile, No need to think of her anymore darling...do what ever you shall with her...I don't care anymore. He said as he leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers once more....It was hard not to be pulled towards her...he had wanted to kiss her since they met so very long ago...but had never seized the chance....years of passion went into each and every kiss he gave her....The only thing that matters to me anymore is you.

Krystyna looked into Cayden's eyes. She could very easily get lost in those eyes. The darkness in those eyes she loved so very much. She could imagine them hunting blood traitors and Muggles the way she hunted animals in the forest. Krystyna suddenly got a mental image of sinking an arrow deep into humans heart the same way she did an animal. She thought of the new bow up in her chest. She could hear the wizz the bow made. They would be dead before they even knew what hit them. She put those thoughts out of her head for the time being and brought her thoughts back to Cayden.

As usual his words made her melt. How long had she wanted to hear him say that she was all he cared about? That she was everything to him? She couldn't even count the years. Now the words were music to her ears. She loved the words from those lips. They were as sweet and smooth as his kisses

So where are you going to take me on our first date? You know me I am not very hard to impress She smiled at Cayden. before she snuggled close to his chest and listened to his heart beat. As a hunter, that was one of the sweetest sounds to her

Cayden felt his inside whine as she pulled away from him and asked him what their first date would be like. His stomach was knotted slightly and he could feel his body groan inwardly as he tried to turn of his hormones. It's not like he was surprised....he had thought of messing around with her a lot of their years and to actually have her lips pressed against him was hard for him to contain himself. Well...I do know your not hard to impress but I would rather take your breath away anyways. So will leave that to a secret for now shall we? He said with a smirk as he ran a hand through her hair as she snuggled into his chest, But I don know...there is going to be a lot of this snuggling going on if not more no matter what we do. He said with a grin, How about we go out on Friday? He asked. He ran his hand down her back gently massaging the muscles there. Having her pressed against him felt so nice. He couldn't help but smile down at her. She wasn't Shaylyn...not even close but she was something exciting and more than worth his time. He couldn't help but hope they would work out...she was so perfect for him and he wouldn't have to hide anything from her...not like he had to for Shay.

Krystyna couldn't help but get excited at the idea of a surprise. She knew Cayden would sweep her off of her feet. He always seemed like the kind of guy that would. Krystyna couldn't help[ but let out a happy sigh as she day dreamed of a date with Cayden. She was spending to much time day dreaming and pulled herself back to the present. She smiled at Cayden and rested her head on his chest again. She closed her eyes and listened to the soft beat of his heart, happy to be in his arms. When he suggested Friday, Krystyna nodded and then without even lifting her head from his chest said Sounds like a great idea to me

Krystyna let out another sigh when Cayden rubber her back. She loved the way that felt.that feels so good Krystyna's muscles were strong from the years of hunting but recently her shoulders and back felt like they were in knots from the stress. Cayden's touch was helping them go away. Of course it didn't hurt that he was also making her relax
