Airous couldn't believe that this had happened again. He had broken the third wand this year. Airous grumbled as he walked into the eary shop that always creped him out. This whole town creped him out. Airous walked up to the front desk to find it empty once more. He looked around to see if anyone was there. The sign on the door had said open. "hello?" he called out wondering if they had left to go eat lunch. If that where the case then they shouldn't have left the shop open.
Airous tapped his foot on the dusty floor boards impatiently. He couldn't just leave without a wand. He usually was bullied at school so to go back with no way to defend himself was like running up to voldemort himself with a goofy grin. Airous sighed and leant against the desk as he waited he looked around the shop. They really need to clean the place.

Skylar was up in the attic of the old shop when he heard the bell ring down stairs. He bit his lip knowing they wouldn't be able to hear him if he even tried to yell...the walls were to thick for yelling. He hurried quickly to finish unloading the new wood pieces he had ordered that would soon be made into fresh new wands by his very hands. He really needed to clean the place a bit...but he hadn't had time since he became owner of the shop a year ago and being the Mythology Professor at Durmstrang wasn't really helping his too busy to clean problem. He hated not cleaning though...it drove him bonkers really...once he would have a chance he would make the shop so spotless that you could eat off the floors...He waved his wand over his clothes and body making sure that all dust was removed from him. He refused to be dirty...he always had to be perfectly and incredibly clean. He made it down the stairs and went through the door into the customer area of the shop.
As he walked in he noticed a familiar boy....not one he had in classes but one he knew to be a rather shy but good student. He smirked slightly as he walked in, Airous Fai....did you break your wand again? He asked. He had already replaced the boys wand twice this year...how could he possibly keep breaking them?

Airous nearly jumped when he heard the shop keeper appear suddenly. At the mans question he nodded nervously placing his broken wand on the table. It had not been on accident though. One of the older students had taken his wand out of his hand and to prove a point that wands never broke, snapped it in half. Though that was something Airous would never admit to nor would he tell anyone he was being bullied.
Airous looked at his old wand, shifting his weight as he stood there. It almost felt shameful to be back in the shop with a broken wand. Maybe it would have been ok if it hadn't been his third time that year in the shop. But Airous felt almost inclined in apologizing about the breaking of his wand. "s...sorry..." he whispered and let the words linger in the air. If he broke his wand again he would not be coming back. Not because of the wand but because he wouldn't be able to afford a fourth wand that year. The bill for his wands where slowlys adding up.

Skylar smiled at him as he apologized for the wand...He put his hand up to stop him, Don't worry it's fine Airous no reason to be sorry... He said smiling at him..So then what was the last wand that bonded to you? He asked trying to remember...He went to the shelves for some reason his wand was eluding his mind at the moment though it hadn't been long since he was last here....He knew of Airous well the child was a nervous one...with not many friends and was kinda shy for the most part...he often wondered if their was more to it...if something was causing it but he never felt like it was his place to ask...He hoped he would come to him though if someone were bullying him or he needed help...he'd hate for the poor kid to go through that...he was to nice to deserve that...He smiled at him as he sat a few black boxes on the counter...

Skylar had raised a hand when he was trying to apologize for the broken wand. Airous knew the wands where hand made though and it wasn't internally fair to have broken three of the mans wands. At his next question Airous glanced back down at the shattered wand "oak, unicorn hair, 9 and a half inches." he said not looking at Skylar.
It wasn't until he heard the man to threw boxes that he looked back at him. He watched as Skylar sat them down on the table. The black boxes held different wands of different sizes but Airous only wanted one wand. The first wand he had ever bought from the shop. It had worked so well. That one had be broken within a week of the new school year from a older student who deflected a small charm from Airous in class. The charm had hit the wand and snapped it. Airous sighed not ready for this. It was almost becoming to much for him to retry wands like robes.

Skylar nodded as Airous told him his old wand had been oak and unicorn hair...,Oak is such a study wand...it's a pity it's sturdiness didn't protect the wand. Oak's properties do well in Transfigurations and Defense Against the Dark Arts..but also makes learning new spells a bit more difficult...the unicorn tail hair does well in Transfiguration and Charms. The core often chooses gentler uses and those who will become future healers... He said thoughtfully...
He pushed one of the boxes closer to him when he showed hesitance to open them...and opened it for him...handing the wand into Airous' hand. He smiled, this one is made of versatile Walnut wood...and unicorn hair, which I already told you the properties of...it's is 9 inches exactly.

Airous listened as the man spoke. Though the words almost seemed as if a broken record had been played from last time he broke his wand. Airous believed the reason the wand had chose him was because it had been oak. As if the wand wanted to prove it could last a long time. Disappointing to know how much it failed when needed the most.
Airous watched as he was handed a wand. Airous let his fingers wrap around the wand, testing the wood and texture. There was no doubt the wand was nice almost to perfect. It seemed to make his hand hot as though the wand didn't want him to hold it. As he turned the wand in his hand the wand became even hotter, burning his palm. With a half yelp he dropped the wand back on the table and pulled his hand away. Not looking at Skylar he mumbled "I don't think that's the one."

Skylar watched as Airous dropped the wand back on the table like it burned him...He frowned and smiled slightly, Apparently no...not that one... He said picking it up into his own hand...feeling the cool wood against his palm he smiled...the wand was one of his favorite creations. He shrugged and put it back in the box and pushed it off to the side before pushing another of the boxes forward and opening the top of it, This one is a blue spruce wand...which is a wood that excels in everything except for the dark arts, though stronger wizards can harness it's powers to dark art uses. It a very springy wood of 10 inches. The core is phoenix feather which is an excellent core for Defense Against the Dark Arts. He told him with a smile as he waited for him to try the new wand out.

Airous saw the shopkeeper frown slightly but then turn it into a small smirk. He for a moment wondered what was going threw the others mind. He watched as Skylar placed the wand back in its box and moved to the side out of the way. Airous remembered what the shopskeeper had told him the first time he had been in the shop. The wand chooses the user. But Airous wondered if he would be able to find another right wand for him. He had a edge of doubt that seemed to grow as he looked at the next wand that Skylar pulled out of one of the boxes.
Airous looked at the wand. He was slightly worried about the core. He wasn't much of a defense against the dark arts student. His father wanted him to be more of a dark arts wizard though. Airous frowned when he picked up the wand. He rolled the wood gently in his hand with care. A dark wand was tricky. If he wasn't the right one for the wand who knows what would happen when he tried. "are.....you sure about this one?" Airous asked "I....don't want to....make a mess of things when I try it." he stuttered nervously.

Skylar watched the way the nervous look on Airous face. He couldn't help but reach out an touch his shoulder to comfort him. He gave a mischievous smile as he was asked if he was sure of the wand in the boys hand, Honestly? No...I have no control over the wand that chooses you...you see when I pick out boxes for you to try it's because the wands call for me to have you try them out...even the first wand wanted to give you a shot...the wands are always in control...and believe it or not the wands have a way of sometimes pulling the inner beauty and possibilities out of someone...whether that person knows he possess such inner talent or not...The wand picks you from what it sees in your soul... He told him confidently with a kind nod, There is nothing you could break that couldn't be replaced I promise...the wand wants you to try him out...might as well give him a chance huh? He told him with a grin as he leaned on the counter.

When Skylar touched his shoulder Airous let his gaze meet the mans. He listened to his words and couldn't help but feel a stressful sickening in his stomach. If that where true than he wondered what the wands saw of his soul. Would the wands see the broken shuddered soul he had? Would it change what kind of wizard he would grow to be.
Airous nodded at Skylars next words and picked the wand back up in his hand once more, feeling the cool wood. He sighed not sure about what to do. He turned to one of the empty walls and gave the wand a small flick. A blue bolt of magic flew out and hit the wall, causing dust to fly as rats started to crawl out of every hole imaginable. Airous sat the wand back now sure that that hadn't been the right spell he wanted. He was convicted that there wasn't another wand out there for him. "you can't just....fix my old one?" he asked frustrated.
