Jack was really confusing her, but she decided to forget about it. He was obviously caught up in something that he didn't want anyone else involved and she had a feeling that he didn't like his job, not really, even if he said he did. "Ok." Said Kayla as Jack offered to walk her back to her common room. It was odd that he did that, Kayla wasn't used to people doing things for her just to make sure she was safe. Ok, so whatever his job was it was something bad. Kayla got that from the way he was speaking about it. "I'm not as innocent as you'd think." Said Kayla as she remembered to day she accidentally killed her brother in self defense for herself and her first love. He then left her after he realised what she had done and it broke her heart. She had risked her own life to save his and ended up killing her brother to save him, and for what? They turned a corner and headed down another long and dark corridor. They weren't too far away now. It was only down a couple more corridors and then they would be at her dorm room. He then suddenly snapped at her, for no reason. "Ok well you don't have to walk with me." She said, feeling a little hurt. Kayla began walking faster, passing him and heading towards her dorm.[/blockquote]

Jack wasn't going to argue with the girl. She said she wasn't innocent, okay, she wasn't innocent. But Jack found it difficult to think of a girl like her ever being wrapped up in the type of things he was or done things he'd done. As they walked Jack realized that they were headed toward the Isbjorn common room. It was clear that he wouldn't be able to go in there with her, seeing as he was a mork ulv student, but at least they were nearing it and Jack felt safer leaving her be. "Well, it's up to you. If you feel safe continuing on alone, go ahead. I do have things to do." He said, stopping at the next corner and scratching the back of his head, a habit that he and Shane both shared. Jack highly doubted he'd see Kayla again, the school was big and Jack was only there for classes. Most of the time he was busy doing things he was assigned to attend to. He enjoyed it, he got paid very well. In the Muggle world, he'd be rich. So he didn't mind the things he did, but it was in moments like this when he realized that if he ever had somebody like Kayla, someone he wanted in his life, a girl he wanted to spend time with, then his job could very well put her in danger. He pointed downt he hall. "Be careful.. And if anything happens, don't say I didn't warn you, but...it was a nice walk." he said in his quiet, deep voice and winked at her with no other emotion on his face. He then turned and started down the dark hall back where they came from. That whole experience left Jack wondering if he'd be alone forever, with no one to protect aside from Shane, and no one to come home to. Would he be some single bachelor killer for the rest of his life? Jack didn't necessarily want that...but he was rich, and rich people were happy, right?[/blockquote]
