Zakaria smirked, I will have to hold you to that. He said laughing slightly, If I end up wrong I'll buy you one someday. He said with a wink. Sure she was under age...but he had never been against teenagers drinking...he himself had been quite the rule breaker in his day. He had gotten in trouble when he was younger as well... He nodded, I'm sure...one of us will eventually...will just have to let the other in. He said with a smile. He continued to play the fact that he had no idea he had ever met her before...but inside he knew they knew each other well...he had fed off of her...long ago...her question made him smile, Only a few weeks...not to long but there is no rush between us.. He said with a smile. He looked into her eyes, I want to take my time with her...you know?and every time that you stay, I see that now you have changed

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a joint, lighting it casually as if no one was there. Kayla inhaled deeply and felt the soothing effects of the weed start to settle her. This was another way how she forgot about her past. Well she didn't really forget about it it was more like it no longer mattered. She would do anything to erase her past, even if it mean something really bad. Kayla inhaled again on the joint and then laid back in the grass.
Kayla quickly raised and dropped her eyebrows as Zak told her about letting each other in, eventually. Kayla found it highly unlikely that she would allow him close enough to be able to tell him what happened to her. She no longer trusted anyone. She kept herself to herself and stayed away from people, most of the time. Even friends, she had none. No one could be trusted, ever! A lesson Kayla had to learn the hard way. "That's good. Like you said there is no rush, you should take your time getting to know each other."
[/color] Said Kayla with no emotion in her voice. Kayla was not a cold person, she hated what she had become but she was so broken. Kayla missed having friends and just having company. Maybe, just maybe her and Zak could be friends. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size][/font] |

Zakaria grinned at her as she said it was a deal, Excellent. He told her with a huge smile. He raised his eyebrow at her as she pulled out a joint and lit it...he watched her take off a hit of it and lean into the grass, Marijuana Kayla? He said with a small laugh, I preferred wine in my youth...but that does to be quite a common drug for kids your age...just be sure the other adults don't see you with it...I'd hate to see it confiscated and tossed in the trash like it has no medicinal affects...It soothes you I can tell...He leaned back into the grass beside her and starred up into the clouds at the clouds. Your right...we have all the time we need to bond and become more. He smiled at her, So how long have you been smoking that stuff and why did you start it..? He asked her curiously. and every time that you stay, I see that now you have changed

Yes he was school staff but he didn't really act like a member of staff. Then again he was dating a student so he couldn't really tell her what she can and can't do. Not that Kayla would use that as a threat if he did try to threaten her by reporting her to the headmaster or something because quite frankly, Kayla didn't care what happened to her anymore. The scars on her wrists proved that. "Your not that old, atleast you don't look it."
[/color] Said Kayla looking up at the stars. Kayla frowned a little as he said he could tell that it relaxed her. She looked up at him, still frowning a little. "How can you tell?"[/color] She asked curiously. Zak then laid down in the grass next to her and he seemed to look up at the nights sky as she had been. Then the question came. Kayla took another long hit off of the joint and let the fumes intoxicate her. It was pretty strong stuff so the effects were almost immediate, atleast on a human they were. "Since my brother started beating me. So, about eleven. It helps me to forget or not care what happened to me."[/color] She said shrugging a little. If she wasn't smoking weed she wouldn't have told him anything, but since she wasn't exactly thinking straight she didn't care what he found out at the moment. "You know he hired a vampire to kill me. Almost did aswell."[/color] Said Kayla matter of factly. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size][/font] |

Well you would be wrong to think this...I am twenty six years old Kayla..a father of an eight year old son. He told her with a small smile, I can sense the way you body relaxes from each hit you take...each hit your muscles loosen and your face relaxes a bit more...... He glanced at her curiously Your brother beat you? You let him get away with it? It doesn't make it go away forever though does it? He said with a frown and then bit his lip, Yes...he did send a vampire after you didn't he? He said glancing away at his tiny slip... and every time that you stay, I see that now you have changed

Maybe if she wasn't beginning to buzz off of the weed she would have probably figured out by now that he wasn't entirely human. But since she was, it was going to take her a little longer to figure that out. Seeing him smile, when he mentioned his son, was quite........warming. It was clear he loved his son, he didn't have to tell her he loved his son. "Does he see his mother?"
[/color] Asked Kayla curiously. If he was dating a student, then there was no way that the student was his son's mother. He had already told her they had only been dating a couple of weeks, but even if he hadn't the fact that she was a student was a big enough give away. No she didn't let him get away with it. At first, yes he did. She thought people were going to help her. She had asked for help, countless times, but the people she asked just either left or well didn't help her. Plus she had been betrayed by her best friend back in Hogwarts so she didn't trust anyone anymore. She just no longer cared what happened to her anymore, no one else did so why should she bother. "No, it doesn't make it go away forever but it helps, even if just for a hour or so."[/color] Said Kayla, taking a long drag off of the joint. When he spoke again she frowned. Zakaria sighed slightly as she asked if Zayden saw his mother. He tilted his head as he looked at her in thought for a long moment, Well...his mother and I didn't have a very good...I guess you could call it a relationship...though it was nothing more than sex at the time...She and I merely hooked up...but something amazing came out of our encounter that I will never regret. He said with a small smile, His mother however, is a bad woman...a drugged out whore who neglected my son and physically abused him when he was under her care...She will never see him again. I promise you that. He said darkly. He sighed as she asked him 'you knew?'. He didn't really know how to answer that or get himself out of it now that he had let that slip so he sat for a long quiet moment..., Well...yes I do. He said hesitantly, I know more than I wish I did about the entire thing actually. He said with a guilty sigh. He looked into her eyes wondering how quickly the information would process in her head with the drugs clouding her..Would she figure out what he meant? He hoped not...maybe there was some way it could all be dropped....? Somehow, he knew it wouldn't...He shrugged slightly, What do you know about the vampire that attacked you? She sounded terrible and it was better off that Zak's son didn't know his birth mother. It was good he still had Zak, it was clear that Zak loved his son more than anything. Kayla was kind of envious, she to wanted to have parents love her and care for her. "Sounds like she may be dead."
[/color] Said Kayla, but she didn't say anything more. It was none of her business and plus, he was being looked after properly by Zak. Kayla finished the joint and then stubbed it out on the ground as she waited for him to answer her. He seemed to take a little while to answer her. She frowned as he told her he knew alot about the vampire attack. He then asked what she remembered about the vampire attack. "Well I was walking down Knockturn alley and...."[/color] Kayla paused as images flashed in her memory. At first she saw the fangs, then the eyes. She tried to focus on the eyes and slowly, his face came into view. Zaks face. Kayla looked at him, frowning, but her heart was pounding so hard and fast she thought it might burst out of her chest.
