TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME Serena walked out of her room and headed to where her first flying would start. Serena was not worried about the class, she was an experienced flyer. After all, back in Hogwarts she was on the quiddtich team, seeker as well so teaching students how to fly a broom seemed to make sense. Serena was dressed very casually today wearing skinny jeans a tank top and a pair of high tops. She thought wearing high heels and a skirt was probably not the best thing to wear if your going to be flying a broom. As Serena walked the corridors she said hellos to staff and students she recognised and continued towards Galdhøpiggen with her broom in one hand and a smallish trunk in the other.
The flying professor opened the doors and stepped out in the warm sun. The weather conditions was good for students to fly today, especially if they had never flown before or had a fear of heights. There was no abrupt wind to send them flying off of their broom or anything like that. Serena walked across the grounds until she reached where she was supposed the have the flying lesson. She set her broom on the ground next to the trunk and sat her butt on the trunk crossing one leg over the other. Serena glanced around and couldn't see any students coming over. She hoped they would turn up, she had a list of who was required to attend, if they didn't show up she would be deducting points unless of course they had a good reason not to attend class. Serena didn't really like to take points or give out detentions but she would if she had to.
There was a slight breeze sweep across the ground which was refreshing, it ruffled her hair a little which made her smile a little to herself. As she sat, waiting for her class to hopefully show up she thought about her date tonight with Adonis. He had asked her to go to dinner with him in Paris. She still couldn't believe that for a first date he was taking her to Paris, she found it so romantic. She had to admit that when he asked her she did swoon abit which was unlike her. Then again a guy had never taking her to another country on a first date. God knows what he would do for a second date. A date on the moon probably. Serena smiled again to herself. She really liked Adonis and she hoped things worked out for them. At the moment she couldn't see why they wouldn't. tagging All students outfit outfitwords - - - lyrics your bird can sing by the beatles notes credits this was made by brooke ![/blockquote]

It was the day Shaylyn had been dreading since the got her schedule when she arrived at this school. She didn’t really understand why EVERYONE had to take flying here, even if they had no desire to join the Quidditch team, or even had no desire to fly in general as Shay did. It was an irrational fear that she had, her fear of flying, as she had never had a bad experience with flying before, she just hated heights. She always had and she always would. The strange thing about it was, when she was in her animagus form, she had no problem climbing up to the highest trees and swinging around up there, it was just when she was in human form she felt like she didn’t have as much control as she did with her tiny monkey body.
As she got closer to the spot where flying class was to take place, she felt her stomach begin to turn as nervousness set in. If there was anything, ANYTHING at all she could do to get out of this class right now, she would most likely do it, but the thing that was most likely to happen at the moment was she might blow chunks before she made it to the field and have to go to the nurse. But, as she approached the field, she didn’t need to throw up, she just felt like she might faint. Shaylyn didn’t have a broom of her own, as she didn’t ever think she would need to fly, so she would have to use one of the school brooms, and hope it didn’t try to kill her. She tried to make herself less nervous as she approached the professor, but it didn’t really work, as she gave a nervous half smile and squeaked out Hi... She was sure to have a panic attack today, and what made it worse was this was probably going to be a rather large class so many people would see. At least Cayden wasn’t in this class, so he wouldn’t have to witness the episode she was bound to have.

Aydin carried his broom down from the Haukstein dorms. It was a beautiful day for flying in his opinion; low breeze, no clouds, nothing to keep anyone off their brooms today. He really didn’t understand why he had to be in the flying class with all the newbie fliers, maybe to be a good example or something for them, but there were probably other classes he could be taking that would be a better use of his time, that would actually TEACH him something. Either way, it was an excuse to fly his broom during class time hours so he wasn’t going to complain.
Making his way down to the lawns, he smiled at the cute professor, throwing his broom over his shoulder before speaking. [orange] Sup? [/orange] He said with his usual cocky smile, before looking over at the other girl in the class. She looked absolutely petrified but she looked too old to be a first year so he had no idea why she could possibly be scared. It wasn’t like flying was hard. It was as natural to him now as walking was.

Dylan sat on her bed, looking through her schedule for today. Her first lesson was flying, not that she needed to learn how to fly she already new and plus she was captain of Isbjorn Quidditch team. However she was a transfer and all new students had to take flying and pass. Dylan got off of her bed, picked up her broom and headed down to where their lessons would take place. I suppose she should be glad that they would be outside, during lessons rather than sat indoors in a classroom. Dylan left her room and walked out into the head boy and girl common room was, no sign of Cayden which was a relief. She was feeling a little emotional today and if her and Cayden were to get into a confrontation it would probably end up with her crying infront of him. Dylan quickly left the common room and walked the corridors.
Turning where she was supposed to and heading down the flight of stairs to the ground floor. She walked out of the big double doors onto the courtyard and headed in the direction she was supposed to go. When she arrived there was already Shaylyn and another student there who seemed to be checking out the professor. She smirked and rolled her eyes a little. It couldn't be helped the professor was a veela so it was inevitable that she would get male attention. Dylan waved to the professor and sat down on the grass next to Shaylyn. She put her broom down on the grass next to her and had her knees bent up slightly. A few weeks ago she was able to hug her knees to her chest, not so much anymore. Sometimes she felt like a bloated beach whale. "Ugh I'm hungry." Said Dylan to Shaylyn. She wasn't expecting Shaylyn to whip out any food or anything, she was just stating it because, well no reason really. It was just something random that popped into her head that she was unable to stop herself from saying. Dylan looked over to the other student, male and so far the only male in class. She bet he was loving it at the moment. Dylan smiled, friendly and looked back to Shaylyn.

Kirilee peaked out her window from the Enkelt Kanin dorms. Their dorms were out on the grounds so she wasn’t far from were flying practice was going to be held. She could see the professor, getting set up, which meant that Kiri should probably start getting ready for class. She grabbed her broom, and tied up her converse tight so that her shoes wouldn’t fall off while she was in the air. That had happened to her before and it took her FOREVER to find them again when she got back on the ground. As she peaked out the window, she saw that a couple of other students had arrived, so she might as well leave and get down there before she was late. It took only a minute or so to get there, her broom over her shoulder as she greeted the 3 other students who arrived before her with a friendly smile, and gave another to the professor as she waited for the lesson to begin. It really was pointless, taking this class, since she already knew how to fly and was on the Gryffindor Quidditch team at Hogwarts, but they wouldn’t let her join at this school anyway. Either way, Enkelt Kanin didn’t get a Quidditch team of their own so it wouldn’t matter to begin with.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME Not long after Serena arrived, her first student came along. It was a brunette who looked as though butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. Serena marked her off on the register, so she knew who to award points to for attending and what not. The girl appeared a little nervous, from the way she said hi, well it was more of a squeak. Serena gave Shaylyn a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. I won't make you fly until your ready. She said kindly. Her attention was brought away from Shaylyn when she saw someone else approaching. When Serena looked at the young man she realised it was Aydin. Serena knew he was a Quidditch captain, so he already knew how to fly, but Serena was going to set him the task of helping to teach those who needed to learn how to fly. Sometimes the students felt better or more comfortable when being taught by another student. Not long after Aydin arrived, Dylan arrived, another Quidditch captain. Serena could see that her stomach was growing, with each passing day as it seemed. Serena smirked at Dylan's comment. At that stage of pregnancy she would most likely be feeling hungry all the time. Serena marked Aydin and Dylan off and then looked up, only to see Kirilee arriving. Serena also marked her off and then stood up. She was now going to start the lesson. Serena had given the students plenty of time to arrive. "Morning everybody. Welcome to your first flying lesson. Now I know some of you already now how to fly, but that doesn't mean you can't improve on your skill. Also you will be helping the other students learn how to fly aswell. Said Serena. She then flicked her wand at the trunk which opened. When the trunk opened, small objects which grew as they flew out of the trunk, flew up in the air to roughly two hundred feet in the air. Serena turned back to her students and looked to Aydin. "Aydin, you will be helping Kirilee build up skill on the assault course that has just been set up." As Serena spoke she pointed to the objects that were now hovering in the air. Serena then looked to Dylan and Shaylyn. "Dylan, you are going to help Shaylyn, in anyway she needs. You may begin." Said Serena. tagging All students outfit outfitwords - - - lyrics your bird can sing by the beatles notes credits this was made by brooke ![/blockquote]

Post by Killean Neko Savage on Jun 10, 2012 7:02:58 GMT -5
Neko woke up late for some reason...he wasn't sure why but he had slept two hours past the time he had wanted to wake up in. It's not like he needed a flying class anyways. Neko was an excellent flyer...he had argued with the Headmaster over this when setting his class list. He had tried to explain that he had taken the class at the Australian Academy of Wizardry...but Jayden wouldn't have it. He said that only Durmstrang could teach the best abilities in flying. Neko had held his tongue. He didn't want to argue to much...it was a lie that he had went to A.A.W, everything on the application to this school had been fudged by his father....he sighed.
He jumped up out of bed and pulled on a pair of pants laying on the floor...tight skinny legged blue jeans...and threw on a pair of black boots and a striped black and red hoody. He looked at his appearance in the thank goodness he still looked good after such a long sleep...his hair lay in the right place...He smirked before turning to his jet black hell hound laying across his bed. He pet the dark eyed demon dog with deep love...stroking it's long fur and giving it a warm hug before turning around and grabbing his rare Aussie Hurrican broom...a black walnut broom with incredible speed and flexibility. He threw it over his shoulder and grabbed a bag of centaur blood from his mini fridge in the corner of his dorm...He downed it quickly before heading out of the room...Good thing he had a dorm with a lock and no room mates he thought before heading out of the Ultrolige Kamre common room...His intelligence had landed him in the prefect/head boy and girl house....which was awesome because he didn't have to deal with as many people.
It took him only a few minutes to reach the small class that had gathered. The professor was addressing the others. He bit his lip as he approached them, I'm sorry Professor...I over slept, I promise it won't happen again. The nervous twang to his Australian accent....

It didn’t take that long for the class to assemble but for some reason Shay expected it to be a bigger class. It looked as though everyone here had no problem flying and everyone had their own broom, which confirmed what she was thinking. She was going to be the only one who wouldn’t be up in the air today and she was just going to be stuck on the ground having a panic attack…this class was just sounding more and more fun (total sarcasm).
Shay tried to smile at Dylan when she came over to the class, but it probably looked more like she was about to throw up than a smile, because that’s how she felt. Although, Shay did feel bad that she didn’t have any food to offer Dylan when she said she was hungry. Usually she always had something on her, like cookies she baked or something but today she was so nervous she didn’t remember to bring anything. It was comforting that the professor reassured her that she wouldn’t actually have to fly until she was ready…but who knew when that was gonna be. If she wasn’t going to make her fly, this entire class period was going to be spent just trying to convince her GET ON the broom. Luckily, the professor assigned Dylan to be her partner and help her, so it wouldn’t THAT traumatizing.
When class officially began, Shay looked over to Dylan. So..remember how I said I was deathly afraid of flying…well…yeah…still afraid… She said with a small terrified smile.

Aydin sighed, waiting for everyone to arrive. The first one after him was the Isbjorn Quidditch captain who was in the same boat as he was; having to be here even though she clearly knew how to fly. Although he couldn’t help but wonder if she was going to be allowed to fly much longer with the size of her bump growing all the time. If she fell or got knocked off during a match that could be pretty disastrous. Then finally who he thought was the last one arrived, a tiny little red head he hadn’t seen around. She was probably new, which was probably why she was in this class.
The professor began the lesson assigning Aydin to help out the small girl. She must already know how to fly which was good for him because it wouldn’t much work. At least he wasn’t assigned to the petrified girl who had probably never been on a broom before today. Although she was cute, he was glad it wasn’t his job to help her. He mounted his broom and pushed off, hovering a few feet off the ground before turning back to the girl he was assigned to help. [orange] Well come on little red, up we go…[/orange] He smirked at her before turning to fly up to the assault course to wait for her. That was until he saw a familiar raven haired boy waking towards the class. He stayed hovered in the air, waiting for the professor to assign him to something. Maybe Neko would get to work with them, granted he knew how to fly…that would make the day a lot better.

Dylan could see the fear in Shaylyn's face and she was glad when Serena paired them together. Dylan felt bad for Shaylyn but hopefully she would be able to over come here fear of flying. Dylan walked over to Shaylyn and gave her a reassuring smile, as if to say everything would be ok. Dylan listened to her friend speak and felt sympathy for her. "Everything will be ok. You heard Professor Night, she won't force you to do anything your not comfortable with." Said Dylan giving Shaylyn's shoulder a light squeeze. Dylan walked around to infront of Shaylyn and mounted her broom, but not taking off just yet. "Ok, how about this for a start. Lets see if we can get you to hover a few feet off of the ground and then land again. Like I'm talking three feet Shay." Said Dylan. This was something that was going to take alot of practice and patience for Shaylyn to be able to eventually over come her fear and actually fly. Dylan pushed off the ground, hovered a few feet in the air and then landed again, showing Shaylyn what she would like her to try and do. "That's all you gotta do. Not so bad huh?" Said Dylan with a warm smile.[/blockquote]

Kirilee had been ready to get up in the air since she got down to the class. There hadn’t been a lot of chances for her to fly since she had moved to Durmstrang, and she really needed it to get out some of the frustration she had pent up from being here. People were mean, especially some of the pureblood students. There had even been a murder…Astryd wasn’t a muggleborn, but someone killed her just from hanging out with them. Kirilee couldn’t help but think it was her own fault that that happened. If she hadn’t made friends with Astryd, she might still be here…Kiri shook those thoughts out of her mind for the time being, she would face them up in the air when she was flying.
This seemed like it was going to be an easy lesson; she was paired with Aydin, who she didn’t know well, but he didn’t seem like a mean guy. He was assigned to help her with the assault course that she knew she wouldn’t need help with, but it was better than being stuck on the ground. Aydin had called her up and she mounted her broom and followed, only to notice that Aydin had stopped in his tracks. Turning to see what he was looking at, she saw a new person she had a couple of classes with before now. He was late, and she figured Aydin was waiting to see which group he would get assigned to before they started off, which she didn’t mind, although she really wanted to get flying sooner rather than later.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME As the lesson began another student turned up. His name was Kilean, but most students tended to call him Neko, so Serena went along with that. "Make sure it doesn't Neko. So Neko, I'm going to need you to tell me, or rather show me just how advanced you are in flying." Said Serena with a small smile. She didn't want her students to feel intimidated by her but she wasn't going to stand for any crap. She didn't feel the need to go ballistic when Neko turned up late, but if it happened again she wouldn't hesitate to deduct points. All students were probably aware of that from their other professors anyway. Serena glanced around at her students, making sure they were ok. Dylan and Aydin looked pretty confident and so they should they were captains of their quidditch team, Kirilee looked......distracted, maybe Serena would make sure everything was ok with her before she left and Shaylyn looked as though she were about to have a heart attack. Poor girl. Once Serena was done with Neko she would check to make sure Shaylyn was ok. She didn't want her to feel to pressured in her first lesson. tagging All students outfit outfitwords - - - lyrics your bird can sing by the beatles notes shitty muse equals shitty post. Neko was very releaved when she didn't scream at him...in the other world he would of been beaten for such a mistake, time was not something to take lightly with his father. 'Every Moment Counts'He repeated in his head the words his father told him time and time again when he screwed up. Neko bit his lip for a moment trying to decide how to show her what he could do. He looked up at Aydin and smiled slightly after deciding on something he could do, since he happened to be in the class as well he might as well take this opportunity to show off right? I can do that. He said with a smile.
He mounted his broom and kicked off of the ground hard.... he leaned forwarded and zipped right past Aydin and the red head as he soared higher and higher...he let himself fly past the clouds before he made a sharp twist and dove towards the ground...the air blew his hair wildly as the ground grew closer and closer....he kept forward..he wasn't afraid of anything.....he was feet from the ground before her tilted his broom upward....brushing the tip of the ground with the back of his broomstick causing the grass to stir....he aimed his broom toward Aydin and the girl....flying tightly under them and doing a back flip with the broom over them...He decided to finish his 'show' with a corkscrew towards the Professor...
He ended the little show off routine doing a back flip off his broom so that he landed with it back in his hands and him standing beaming at the Professor... Like I told the Headmaster, Ma'am I really don't see why I am taking this class.

Shay listened to Dylan’s suggestion, and really honestly tried to make it make sense in her mind, but 3 feet to Dylan seemed like 30 feet to Shay. She watched as Dylan mounted her broom, hovered a few feet and then landed, expecting to do something similar. Although, as Shay looked down at the broom she was supposed to be riding, she couldn’t even step closer to it. It was like, even going near the broom was giving her an anxiety attack. For me to hover a few feet, would require me to actually get on the broom. And…at the moment, I actually think that’s too big of a feat for me… She said, her voice shaky and weak.
She felt as though she was gonna throw up, and as the new person in the class started his show off-y routine, she felt as though she was going to faint. Was she going to eventually have to do something like that? She couldn’t even fathom the idea of doing all those flips and dives and acrobatics while on a broom and suddenly she felt really dizzy. I…i…i…think I need to sit down… She said as she sat down slowly, closing her eyes and bringing her knees to her chest so she could lay her head on them. She needed to breath, otherwise if she wasn’t careful she would be sure to faint.

Aydin watched as Neko was instructed to show his flying skills for assessment purposes or whatever. He knew he was supposed to be up in the air helping out little red, but she was still down next to him, so it seemed that she wasn’t really in that much of a hurry. Aydin smirked as Neko looked up at him with a slight smile before taking off. That Neko was a one hot guy and if he could fly nearly as well as Aydin could, he would be smitten. He watched as he shot right past them, his hair blowing around because of the sheer speed he was going. It was amazing to watch and by the time he flipped back around and flipped over them and all that good stuff, his jaw was basically on the ground. He was definitely impressed, to say the very least. [orange] Professor, since he knows how to fly and all, can he be in our group and fly with me…er…us? [/orange] He asked, hoping and hoping that she would say yes.
