Shane didn’t know what he was doing. He was taking out a faery?! He was insane! What girl, a faery princess type girl, would even think about going out with Shane? He was really nervous that Adalynn was really going to find out about his homelife. What would that mean? How would she react differently? Would she treat him like he was broken? Or would she dismiss him completely? Shane shook his head. He stood outside the school, waiting for Adalynn. Shane didn’t even know what to wear on a date! His jeans and black sweatshirt was really his only attire, aside from his hair being a mess. A mess. Suddenly Shane was very aware of his hair. He started trying to smooth it down, running his hands through it; but no matter what he did, it was just as crazy as when he started.

He started pacing, taking an apple out of his sweatshirt pocket and starting munching on it. He had too many secrets to hide from Adalynn that he wasn’t completely sure he could do it. He could just very easily lie. That was something he was really good at. The pacing continued; if anything it got faster as he got colder. Adalynn would be there soon, and Shane was completely falling apart. In no time, Adalynn was there. Shane did’nt have anything to say to her, he just looked at her for the longest time. talking:”Hi,” He muttered, then realized he had the apple, half eaten in his hand, and tossed it behind him.

Adalynn's Outfit

Adalynn stood in the bathroom mirror curling her hair quickly in and pulling it up. She looked over her hair...pulling a few pieces into place...the blue and purple tips looking bright in the reflection. She pulled on her black lace dress over her black lace undies and bra. Making sure to check that her bra strips hide perfectly behind the dress. She bit her lip and fumbled for some blue eyes shadow quickly running the light blue shadow across her lips...she next took out some blush and ran it across her cheeks. She next took out some soft pink lipstick and ran it across her lips pressing a tissue against them to make them perfect...

She fumbled in her jewelry case for the perfect set of jewelry. She pulled out a pair of blue and purple feather earrings and put them in. She next pulled out a purple gemstone necklace and wrapped it around her neck and fastened the clasp. She glanced at the time and groaned as she went to fetch her high heels...She threw them on quickly aparated to meet him on the lawns.

As she greeted him, she giggled as he threw an apple over his shoulder and said hi to her, Hi to you too. She said with a big smile.

Shane’s eyes went wide when he saw her. Yeah, he threw his apple behind him and snorted out a ‘hi’, but he was completely taken aback. All the black lace she was wearing, her heels, the makeup, she looked sexy as hell, but Shane was already feeling the blood rush to his cheeks. Why were they there? What was he doing? The date! Right….. Right! Um….I-I guess we should go then! C’mon! He said, shoving his hands in his pockets, trying not to touch her for fear of doing or saying something stupid. Shane had nothing planned at all. All he knew was that he’d sorta kinda asked her out, but really she’d asked him and he’d duped her into telling everyone it had been him who’d asked her. Now he was at a loss as to what to do now…

Shane walked slowly, giving Adalynn time to catch up and walk with him. “You look great. Really nice, he muttered, glancing at her and giving her a wink .Shane felt completely underdressed, but he really hadn’t had much of a choice. He only had jeans and t-shirts and sweatshirts. I’m sorry that I’m dressed….better….but what you see is what you get! He said, picking up a stick as they walked and dragged it behind him. I mean…where I come from….nice dress pants and stuff are for people with money and you….food in their refrigerator he laughed. Someday, I could be a ninja! And fight off all the idiots of the world barehanded! Okay…..maybe me and my….stick, here…. Shane jumped up on a nearby boulder and pretended to battle an invisible enemy as he spoke. Then he looked dejectedly at his stick and jumped down. When in doubt, Shane, be funny. What a defense mechanism. I’m an idiot. What am I thinking?
