At least it was warm here and not as freezing as it was outside that was what Theron was thankful for. He looked at pile of books he had pulled to help with some homework he was having trouble with. Brown eyes glanced over what he was supposed to be doing. “Oh right...potions” he muttered to himself as he flipped through the book he was working with.
He deftly scribbled down a few notes here and there about what certain ingredients were needed and what the potion was supposed to look like. Looking up he watched the snow fall. So beautiful... yet so bloody cold he thought getting back to his homework. Letting out a sigh of frustration he set the book down and leaned back in his chair, this homework was going to kill him.
A strand of his black hair fell in his face. Blowing the single strand out of his eyes he laughed at how silly it was. He was starting to get bored and that wasn’t a good thing for him. Huffing to himself he decided to bury himself back in the homework he needed to get done. Concentrating on the task at hand he didn’t notice someone else had taken a seat at the table he was occupying.

Eliza really wasn’t one for studying. Or well, homework for that matter, but it was something she needed to do to pass out of school and finally be rid of this place. It was also expected of her, as the Finnish Minster of Magic’s daughter to get good grades, have a good reputation and make something of her life…well, two out of three wasn’t bad right? Her reputation definitely wasn’t what some would call anything close to good, but she had fun and that was all that really mattered, at least to her.
Walking down the aisles of the library, she ran her hands across the book, looking for something that could keep her interests long enough to keep her out of trouble for a while. She really was getting tired of detention and maybe taking a card out of her sister’s book and being the quiet bookworm type was a good idea for now. Her hand stopped on a book about dangerous potions, most that had been outlawed some centuries ago, and she decided that would be a good read. Maybe she could learn a thing or two…or maybe she could just write some stuff down for future reference.
It was pretty empty in the library today as most people were probably in their nice toasty common rooms or hanging out with friends so there were plenty of places she could sit. But, she did notice a handsome guy sitting at a table all alone copying down some notes or something so she decided why not sit next to him and see if he wanted some company. He didn’t seem to notice her sitting down across from him at first, so she decided to glance down at what he was doing, purely out of curiosity. You know you copied that down wrong… She said absentmindedly as she opened her book to a random page and started to read…kinda.

The sound of a voice breaking his concentration and not only that, but also saying he copied something wrong caused Theron to look up. Sitting across from him was a pretty attractive girl; who probably had a boyfriend; but still she was sitting across from him. “Oh really? And what precisely did I copy wrong? he asked slightly intrigued. At least he finally had someone to talk to besides the books or the paintings while he was sitting here.
As he awaited a reply he caught a quick glance of what book she was reading. Apparently it was something about outlawed potions, biting his lip he stifled a small snicker. A few thoughts had crossed his mind as to what she could be doing with such a unique book. He knew that this was just adding to the procrastination, but he honestly didn’t have much interest in potions. But his parents did expect him to keep up his good grades so he tried his best which was what counted right?
There were a few murmurs here and there from the other students who were in the library, but none of the chatter mattered to him. Shutting the book he set it on top of the pile of books he had accumulated. Part of him actually wanted to know who this girl was, which would probably end badly for him like always. He shifted his eyes to looking straight at her to try and figure out anything at all just from how she looked.

Eliza looked him over slightly before he looked up at her. He was pretty cute, but he didn’t seem like he would be the type to be interested in her. He seemed like the type who stayed away from trouble…and Eliza was definitely the definition of trouble. She smirked slightly as he asked her what exactly he copied down wrong. That, right there. It should say moonstone, not moonseed. You’re gonna blow something up if you get those wrong. As she pointed to what he had gotten wrong on his paper, she leaned forward maybe a bit too far, completely on purpose, so that if he wanted to, he could have gotten a quick peak into her shirt. Though, she didn’t peg him as the type of guy who would do that.
She rested her chin in her hand as she watched him close his book and put it on top of the stack of other books he had at his table. Every now and then she would look down at her book and make it look like she was doing something other than trying to figure him out, but mostly she was trying to figure out why she didn’t already know this guy. It was getting a bit tedious trying to keep up the façade of actually being interested in the book more than she was with him, so she closed it and pushed it aside for the time being. What is your name by the way…I feel like I should know it already but nothing is coming to mind. She said, looking him over with an eyebrow slightly raised.

Theron glanced quickly at his notes to see if he had as she said put moonseed instead of moonstone. Sure enough he had done that, but that didn’t mean he had to admit it to her. “Who says I wasn’t making a note of something fun to do if it gets a little boring around here?” he countered. Sure he hadn’t know that moonseed would blow something up, but now he did and that would be very useful information.
Slipping his hand onto the book he held it up, ”Besides I could ask why a sweet girl like you is reading a book like this. What happened, want to kill an ex? Get rid of some annoying student? Have a little fun with a professor? he asked putting probably a little too much emphasis on the words kill and fun. When she leaned forward he had caught a quick glance, but didn’t show any recognition that he had done that.
When she asked his name he smiled, “I am Theron Hudson madam. And who might you be? he asked trying to sound a little polite. Something in the back of his mind was nagging at him that she had purposefully sat down across from him, but he couldn’t pin it on why. Yes he was abnormally tall even when sitting down, but that wouldn’t be a reason to talk to someone. So what was her real reason? was now the question to be answered.

Eliza tapped her finger on her chin as he tried to say he meant to write down the wrong ingredient to the potion. She knew he hadn’t done it on purpose, because if he really wanted to make something explode for the fun of it, there were a lot easier and more destructive ways to do that. Or you might have just gotten it wrong and are being a guy so you won’t admit being wrong. She said with a slight smirk. It amused her to push people’s buttons; she didn’t know this guy well enough to know what would push his buttons or not, but most guys always seemed to get annoyed when someone told them they were wrong.
She watched curiously as he took her book as she pushed it aside and asked her what she could possibly be doing with a book like that. It almost made her laugh out loud to hear someone call her a sweet girl, but she held it in. Obviously he didn’t know anything about her or her reputation so if she wanted to; she could easily play this off to her advantage. Ha, sweet? Me? You’re funny. I think the real question here is why are those first types of potions that come to your mind? Sure the book is outlawed potions, but there have got to be other, less interesting types of potions nestled in its pages. She smirked, looking between him and the book.
As he introduced himself, she made a quick mental note of his name as she did with most people. She had never heard his name before, that was for sure so he must have been new or something. I’m Eliza Vierra. Most awesome person you’ll probably meet at this school. She said with a smirk; she wasn’t trying to be polite like she was sure he was…she was just being herself…well, for the most part.

Bingo there was what Theron was waiting for. She just flashed her hand and he was going to win. Now he’d have to take a stab at his pride “Okay... okay maybe I put the wrong ingredient down. And maybe I was trying to cover it up. And possibly I’m just that full of pride to not admit it. However you just revealed something to me about yourself with out saying it.” he responded with a raised eyebrow.
Setting the book down he placed his own chin in his hand mirroring the girl. His fingers deftly drummed against his jaw as he waited for a response to what he just said. One little thing was happy he could do which was read people. Sure it was easy to learn, but being able to pinpoint certain things that took practise. When she introduced herself as Eliza Vierra he made a quick note to remember her.
He thought about if he should answer her other question. The one that involved why those were the potions he had thought about first. In all honesty it was merely just something he had observed and picked up on with what she had said. Plus her reaction just confirmed what he thought. “Would you like to know what I figured out Eliza? he asked with a small smirk.

It surprised her how easily, in her mind, that he admitted defeat by saying he indeed wrote down the wrong ingredient. However, what he said in the end made her raise an eyebrow curiously. What had she inadvertently revealed to him? Eliza was usually very good at keeping things about her a secret that she didn’t want people to know. Maybe he was just trying to push her buttons like she was trying to do to him. That would make sense, but what if, she did accidentally reveal something…and that something was something he could use against her. Hmmm? She asked, pretending it didn’t bother her, even though inside it was starting to eat her up a bit.
It amused her as he mirrored her motions, but at the same time it did bug her just a bit. There was just something about this guy; he was different in a lot of ways, than the rest of the guys at this school, but she couldn’t figure out exactly what it was that was different. Then he asked her if she would like to know what he figured out. Of course she wanted to know, but she didn’t want him to know how badly she did. He was poking at her curiosity, and her self-consciousness that didn’t often show itself and she hated it, but the fact that he was able to do it so easily intrigued her. Sure. I don’t actually believe you figured anything out about me, but why don’t you humor me and tell me anyway. She said, looking into his eyes with a blank expression.

Post by Unwyn Zain Lestrange on Sept 21, 2012 22:07:29 GMT -5
Unwyn walked into the Library and walked along the books. He scanned here and there looking at books. There was one thing he kept secret from his brother and it was his love of books and actually doing homework. He had left Eyan sulking in his room after that nasty display with Neko Savage Eyan hadn't been himself. He didn't know what Neko did to Eyan but Unwyn had put him on his list. He grabbed a book on dark magic and sat down at a table, he pulled out some parchment and began scribbling down notes. Knivocorpius Sulemen. The ability to conjure knives at enemies chest. He continued looking up things and then heard a familiar voice, Eliza. His brothers pet, then he heard a boys voice too and recognized it as Theron Hudson, a boy in his year that was really easy on the eyes. Naturally Unwyn made a fuck list, who he would want and who he would fuck over, Theron made it on the want list. He rolled up his parchment and sauntered around the bookshelf to the other side and leaned against the book case. Knowing Eyan, he knew that his pet Eliza wasn't allowed to speak to any male but Unwyn and she hadn't done that yet. He eyed Theron and bit his lower lip before saying, Well well. Eliza. You're asking for trouble aren't you? He continued to lean on the bookshelf and sighed the last guy Eliza messed with got killed. Unwyn had the privilege of hearing about it but not seeing it. He eyed Theron and said to Eliza, It'd be a shame to see something so beautiful wasted. Adyrian will not be pleased.

Theron opened his mouth to explain what he had learned just from her reaction. That was until another males voice and looked towards the bookcase. His eyes saw Unwyn Lestrange a male in his year. “Unwyn.” he said with a smile and a nod. He didn’t know what it was about Unwyn, but the other boy gave off some weird vibe. Turning his attention back to Eliza he figured he probably shouldn’t tell her right now.
“So Eliza you were saying that after the moonstone I add what again?” he asked covering up what they were talking about. Something told him that someone wouldn’t be happy if they found out about Eliza talking to him.
Of course what Unwyn said at the end set wrong with him. “It'd be a shame to see something so beautiful wasted. Adyrian will not be pleased. Was the other boy seriously hitting on him right now. Alright yes he was bi, but Unwyn was more of a diva and not his type.

All of the built of curiosity Eliza had about finding out what Theron was going to tell her melted away as soon as she heard that all too familiar voice coming from the bookshelf. She knew it was Unwyn and she knew the first thing Unwyn was going to do was run off and tell Adyrian she was talking to another guy. It was so annoying; the two of them weren’t even dating but she apparently belonged to him, which meant she could never have any fun anymore…at least not obvious fun; she had to keep everything she did a secret. Sometimes she regretted that night when she first met Adyrian, but the sex was always awesome so at the same time, she wasn’t sure if she did.
What are you gonna do? Run off and tell your brother? We’re not even doing anything so that should be fun for you to explain. She said with a slight sneer as she looked up at him. When Theron asked her about something to do with potions she couldn’t help but give him a grateful look before quickly thinking up something to say. She remembered what happened last time Adyrian found out she was talking to someone else, and she really didn’t want a repeat of that night. Especially not with Theron…she was really starting to like this guy. Um…after the moonstone you want to add the valerian root. She said, wondering if she should grab a book from the pile to make the excuse look more legit.

Unwyn raised an eyebrow and said, Alas Eliza. I do not run to my brother. He'll find out and you know what will happen. Just look at last time. He rolled his eyes as she grabbed a book from the pile and said, Oh please the only thing you keep open are your legs. He yawned and looked at the both of them. He had over heard enough of the conversation to know that Adyrian would be pissed if he heard what was being said. Adyrian was already pissed that Deianira had gotten away so he would extract his revenge on her but this would make him even more angry. He looked at the pair of them and said, I pity you Eliza. You never learn from your mistakes. Once a Lestrange owns you...you can't get away. He thought about Aria and how precious she was. She knew it was an honor to be owned by him, he kept his woman in check. Unlike his brother, who tried but always got distracted by another skirt. Think about your next move Eliza. For his sake if not for yours. Unwyn was a lot kinder than his brother and only tortured and killed when angered. Eliza wasn't his so he wasn't angry, merely bemused. He was the one that kept his brother sane, he was the hand of the king so to speak.

Theron kept himself from twitching at Unwyn’s words. He had heard of the infamous Lestrange brothers and their tactics. Of course most of those involved sex, drugs, and women. Not exactly what he’d want to be known for, but that’s their prerogative. Brown eyes watched the other male cooly trying to figure him out.
Shifting in his seat it was a little nerve-wracking to hear what Unwyn said. Talk about owning, last time which implied something bad, and his sake. Nothing was connecting with him and what they were saying right now. Did Unwyn’s brother have something for Eliza, which was totally fine with Theron. He really didn’t want to get into any fights.
“Now why would she have to worry about her next move for my sake?” he asked trying to delve more into the dark world that was the Lestange mind. He started tapping his foot trying not to let the nervousness get the better of him.

Eliza couldn’t help but giggle slightly, even though it had a hint of nervousness in it, she hoped neither of them would notice it. He’ll find out what exactly? That I’m studying with someone…oh my goodness alert the authorities. Give me a break. She rolled her eyes at him before picking up the book and opening it to a random page. For some reason, although she had no idea why it surprised her, Unwyn called her out on being something of a whore which usually wasn’t something she was embarrassed about. She loved her reputation and everything that came with it, but for once in her life she was trying to have a normal conversation with a normal person who seemed to be interested in her for something that wasn’t sex and Unwyn had to come by and ruin everything. This caused a slight red tint to come across her pale cheeks but she tried not to let it show, lowering her head a bit as if she was looking at the book in front of her. Fuck off Unwyn… She muttered as she waited for the blush to go away.
She hoped Unwyn would just, go away after he said what he had to say, but of course that wasn’t what he was known for. And as he continued to speak, there was that word again: “owned”. That she was owned by Adyrian and that was something she should be happy about for some reason. She hated the word, and everything that came along with it. As much as Adyrian reminded her that she “belonged” to him, she still didn’t believe it…wouldn’t let it happen. She was still her own person no matter what. She was about to say something to him, when his next words stopped her. Think about your next move Eliza. For his sake if not for yours. The words resonated in her head for a moment as she thought them over. He was right of course…if she back talked too much he would surely let Adyrian know and who knew what Unwyn would say and what Adyrian would do to Theron. Eliza really didn’t want another body on her conscience, especially not Theron’s. Even though she just met him, she really didn’t want anything bad to happen to him. Clenching her fist under the table, she decided not to reply just yet.

Unwyn could hear the nervousness in her giggle and smirked. She knew that he was right, he knew his brother better than anyone and he was predicting the exact turn of events if she continued. Studying. Please don't insult me. You are spending time with someone you shouldn't be spending time with. You're lucky I'm more tolerant that Adyrian. If it were him here in my place well do I need to remind you about last time? He looked at Theron and said, You are especially lucky that I am here instead of my brother. It wouldn't be pretty. If this boy knew him he would know the Lestranges reputation as well. The stories from Beauxbatons are true. He murmured. He smirked when she told him to fuck off, he liked toying with her she was fun. You know when my brother first told me about you I asked why he went for you. He says the sex is phenomenal. The last guy you were with said the same thing. He knew it would hit her where it hurt, right in her pride. He looked at Theron and said, I certainly hope you weren't looking for a chance to ride her. Unwyn knew he had her when he saw her bite back her words, when Theron asked his question Unwyn looked at him with a little pity in his eyes. When Adyrian found out and he would, Unwyn would be tempted to plead for the boys life. Saying he would take him and watch him and have him be his little pet. He spoke again and said in all honesty, Why you'd be brutally raped and murdered right in front of little Eliza here. She doesn't need another body on her conscience, you'd think she'd have learned the first time. He looked over at Eliza and smirked. Just think about that Eliza. He said in a condescending tone. I'm not saying this to intimidate you. I'm saying this to remind Eliza of her duties. She lost all freedom when she opened her legs for my brother. He looked at her and said, Even if she doesn't accept it, it is the truth. Unwyn was acting out of his normal character by showing compassion towards these two. He would most probably never sleep with Eliza but he had Theron in his sights and didn't want such a pretty face to be wasted for the deeds of a stupid woman. He pitied them almost as much as he felt sorry for himself. He knew he was in a toxic relationship but he would never leave his brother. His loyalty was ingrained in him from a very young age and when Adyrian first took him to his room and they made love for the first time that was the end of it. He was stuck in this relationship and he loved it, but at the same time he hated it. Sure he loved to torture and maim and kill and rape and bathe in blood but there were times that he wondered what it would be like to be normal and not have the Gaunt blood in his veins. He would never show this side to anyone but by being in his own way nice and caring to them was about as close as he would get. He looked at Eliza and said, Give me one good reason not to summon my brother. You know our ways, you know he'll be here in a second. I have power over you right now whether you like it or not. He said honestly.
