Skylar couldn't help but grin as Darius looked him over with annoyance. He raised his eyebrow at him...he knew he was a werewolf but Skylar wasn't one to be afraid of anyone. He just grinned as the other took him in. Well Darius...I heard so very much about you as well. She won't shut up about you. He said wrinkling his nose in a smirk. He grinned at his camera and flicked his wand at it...sending it out of the room to his own bedroom, We will see about that Mika...it's such a great memento to hang on to...could be such an amazing thing to blackmail you with...Goddess knows I'll have to blackmail you into standing at my side at my wedding. He said slipping the word in to see if she would notice what he had let slip on purpose without telling her straight out.

He grinned at her, But Mika..I can't sleep and I need someone to brew me a sleeping draft and sing me to sleep! He teased, I have some news to tell you....that is so much more important that sleeping with this hunk of perfect flesh over here...though I gotta say Mika...you better claim this one before someone else does...he is fucking gorgeous! He said with a cocked eyebrow.

Darius smirked a little and glanced back at Mikayla. So she had been talking about him, alot from what Skylar had just said. Hmm maybe Skylar could convince her to go on a date with him. He knew she had been hurt, but he would never hurt her and he wanted to prove that to her. It was just hard getting her to give him a chance and since Skylar is her best friend maybe he could convince her to go out with him. He should probably talk to him when he wasn't naked.

Now he just felt uncomfortable, when Skylar referred to him as 'fucking gorgeous.' Darius didn't know if Skylar was bi or gay but hearing a compliment like that from him was a little odd. He didn't care what Skylar's sexuality was, but it was still a little weird for him having a compliment like that from another guy. "Umm thanks."

[/color] Said Darius, still feeling out of place and unsure of what to say exactly. On the bright side he was no longer pissed off.[/blockquote]

Mikayla couldn’t help but kick Skylar as he decided just to tell Darius that he had heard so much about him. No, because he told him that she never shut up about him was the reason she kicked him. Sure, she talked about Darius a lot with Skylar but he talked about his girl a lot too so it was kind of an even thing. She hadn’t even told Darius how much she liked him yet so having it come from someone that wasn’t even herself was just obnoxious. Mikayla was contemplating just snatching the camera away from Skylar so that she could somehow delete the picture herself, but before she had a chance, he put his camera away, in his room presumably…she would have to get to it later then. It annoyed her that he was going to keep the picture, to use as blackmail for a future date. He always did this to her, even back when they first met in school. He would manage to get an embarrassing picture of her and would use it against her whenever he saw fit. She thought they were passed that, since he hadn’t done it in so long, but apparently, he was just taking a break. [green]Blackmail me into being in your wedding? You’re funny. The day you actually decide to get married would be the first sign of the apocalypse in my mind. [/green] She said with a laugh. She didn’t notice anything about any hints he might have been trying to put behind the word, she just thought he was making a joke.

Looking over at Darius, she could tell he was a bit uncomfortable with Skylar calling him things like a “perfect hunk of flesh” and “fucking gorgeous”. Even though it was all true, it was probably because he wasn’t used to being called such things by a guy…especially when he was naked when that guy was saying that stuff to him. [green]So what is it that’s so important that you have to interrupt my sex life to tell me in the middle of the night? [/green] She asked curiously.

Skylar smirked slightly as of course it went over her head like usual when he said something shocking. He grinned and rolled his eyes for a moment in silence as he thought about how long it might take for her to take him seriously on this matter. He closed his eyes for a moment and bit his tongue as she spoke again. His eyes brows furrowed as he opened his eyes to stare at her for a long moment. Mika, I'm sorry to tell you this...it is so depressing for me to be the one to tell you this but like there is this totally scary tidal wave coming for the world and no one's going to make it. said with a serious tone and look on his face, It's the apocoloypse Mika...we're all going to die! He snickered at this, Okay seriously dude...It's the apocalypse. I'm getting married. He told her with a big smile.

He shrugged and pulled out the empty wedding ring box from inside his pocket...showing her it was empty...he looked up into her eyes wondering if she would understand him now.., So when are you going to ask Mika out for real? I do hope your not planning on sleeping with her without commiting are you? He asked with a frown at the thought.

[Darius Rayborn]

Darius was beginning to feel a little awkward now, like he was the third wheel. Mikayla and Skylar seemed to be having a conversation right when things were getting interesting between him and Mikayla. It bothered him, quite abit actually. He actually thought it was pretty rude aswell. Darius rest his elbows on his knees as he brought them up and just seemed to fade into the background. He would definitely talk to Mikayla about this once Skylar had gone. He knew it wasn't her fault for him bursting in, but she could have atleast told Skylar to leave while they get dressed or something, but no here they were still talking, naked.

Skylar then turned his attention to Darius asking him when he was going to ask Mikayla out. Now the spotlight was on him. What the hell was he supposed to say? He didn't want to upset or embarrass Mikayla, but he had asked her out, he wanted to commit and get to know her all over again but she had told him she wasn't ready. So, for the time being they had settled for this. Whatever this was, he wasn't too sure. Technically both of them were still single, but they acted like a couple. Seriously, they needed to talk. "Ummm, well I have asked her out, but she said she's not ready."

[/color] Said Darius shrugging. He really had no idea what to say, so he went with the truth. That was all he had after all.[/blockquote]

Mikayla felt as though there was probably some sort of hidden meaning in what he was saying about getting married but she, of course, wouldn’t understand a subtle hint like that ever. And what was worse was that he knew that just as well as she did. But when he started to ramble on the apocalypse, she raised her eyebrow and just listened. He was being sarcastic, that was for sure, but it wasn’t until he actually said that he was getting married that it finally registered in her head. At first, she wasn’t sure what to think. Her Skylar was actually getting married…it was the last thing she ever thought she would hear but, apparently it was true. She just looked at him with a blank stare for several seconds before a smile finally spread across her face. [green]Ohemgee, are you serious hun? As much as I can’t believe it, I’m happy for you![/green] She said, lunging over to where he was sitting and giving him a hug.

This was probably rather awkward for Darius…her hugging Skylar while naked, plus the fact that she really hadn’t really acknowledged his presence since Skylar had shown up. She backed out from the hug and covered herself back with the sheet as Skylar asked Darius why he hadn’t asked her out yet. This was a complete bs question, since Mikayla had told Skylar when Darius had asked her out, and he knew her exact response. He was just trying to make it awkward for her, completely on purpose, and she knew it. Biting her lip, she looked over at Darius as he responded and suddenly felt really bad. She wanted to say yes to him, to actually try going out on a date with him, and maybe be his girlfriend in the near future but…she was still so nervous. Plus, he hadn’t asked her again since that night so she figured he might have forgotten.

Skylar's thoughts were interrupted as a naked Mikayla lunged herself at him and hugged him tightly with excitement, Um...well..yes.. He said clearing his throat a bit to make her aware she had company and hugging him with her naked body against him was probably not a good thing for the other to see. He was use to her naked precense, though it had been some time since the last time he held her like this..but he also didn't want to ruin something good for her so he took a step back away from her gently.

Skylar giggled slightly as the other male answered that he already had asked her out but she's not ready...Believe me...she's ready. He said with a smirk, Believe me she's just playing hard to get or something...Be more dominate about it and she'll crumble under your fingertips. he said with a wink towards Mikayla...He knew this was true from past experiences with her...but it wasn't like he was going to voice it. He raised an eyebrow, I'll tell you what... he said as he ran a hand through his hair, What is it Darius? He said a she mimicked Mikayla...then let his voice lower, Well...I've been think Mikayla that I would really like us to become an official couple!? He then highered his voice again and put his hand on his hip, Well Darius...Of COURSE I'll be your girlfriend!! He said with laughter as he pushed Mikayla towards Darius... he let his voice go back to normal, Now kiss and make this relationship official mkay? He said rolling his eyes...

[Darius Rayborn]

Darius was so not happy at the fact she had pretty much just threw her naked self at Skylar and gave him a hug. Clearly something more than friendship had happened between these two. He had wanted to ask her out again, but she had told him she wasn't ready and he wasn't going to force her into anything. Also it was tough getting rejected and he didn't want to get rejected again, so there was that for him to consider. Anyway, now the mood had been killed and Darius was pissed off big time. He may aswell have been invisible. As Skylar and Mikayla spoke, Darius slipped his jeans on under the bed covers. He only looked up at Skylar when he spoke to him, mimicking Mikayla's voice and what not.

Once Skylar stopped talking her raised his eyebrow slightly. That so wasn't funny and this wasn't a movie where something like that would happen in real life. Darius pushed the bed sheets back and got up. His bottom half was now covered with his jeans so he didn't need to worry about being 'exposed', however he really needed to go for a run, burn off some of the anger. "Nice meeting you Skylar.

[/color] Said Darius with a slight nod. Darius then glanced at Mikayla quickly before saying "I'll talk to you later.[/color] He then grabbed the rest of his clothing, slinging his shirt over his shoulder and left her room, closing the door behind him. Once out in the corridor he tugged his shirt on and slipped his shoes on and made his way to the grounds. The wolf in him was just bursting to get out, and this was something he needed to do in the open air.[/blockquote]

As she jumped over and hugged Skylar in sheer excitement that he was actually getting married, she did realize that hugging him naked in front of Darius was probably not the best thing she could have done at this point. Skylar cleared his throat and backed away and she backed away as well, covering herself just so that Darius would feel so awkward that she was so comfortable hugging another guy without any clothes. Truth was, she was completely comfortable being naked around Skylar because of their past…relationship…but it had really been a long time since anything like that had happened.

Mikayla noticed Darius getting dressed under the sheet but she thought he was just covering himself more because there was no telling how long Skylar was going to be around tonight. Sure, the mood was already gone but they could all still sit around and talk right? Even if Darius was probably still a bit angry about all of their plans just going out the window, but Skylar was trying to help him out…in a way. He was right about most of what he was saying and that if Darius did ask her again she would most likely say yes…but Darius didn’t look to be in the mood to ask her again…nor did he look in the mood to even stay in the room after Skylar’s little asking her out act. He told Skylar it was nice to meet him and then got up and left. He looked pretty pissed. [green]Wait, Darius…[/green]She called after him but he had already closed the door and was probably up the corridor by now. Hopping out of bed she gathered up all her clothes that were dispersed all over the floor and quickly got dressed, although not bothering to put on shoes and hoping he hadn’t gone outside yet. [green]I’ll be right back…or not…I’m not really sure…[/green]She said to Skylar as she ran to catch up with Darius.

Luckily, she caught up to him in the corridor before he made it outside and grabbed onto his arm, pushing him into a wall slightly…or at least trying to since he was so much bigger than she was. [green]Hey…why’d you leave? [/green] She asked, pouting slightly. She could tell he was mad and really didn’t want to make it worse by asking why but she needed to know.

For a moment, Darius thought that Mikayla might not come after him and at the moment he really wasn't bothered if she did or didn't. He wanted to be alone, so he could run off the anger, but he also didn't want to leave it like that with Mikayla. He was almost reaching for the door that lead to the courtyard when he heard Mikayla's voice. She grabbed hold of his arm and pushed him into a wall, or tried to but failed as he was alot bigger than her, but he stopped, turned and leaned against the wall, hands in his pockets. Darius inhaled and then looked down at her as she asked why he left. Really? was she asking that question. Darius raised a eyebrow slightly "Really? Your asking me why I left."

[/color] He said rather abruptly. He didn't shout at her, he could never shout at her, but that didn't change the fact he was still pissed.

Darius run a hand through his hair as he tried to find the right words to use. "Ok, you tell me Skylar is your best friend but clearly something more than that happened in the past. I mean I don't throw my naked self at my friends and especially not in front of some one who I...like.[/color] He very almost said loved then, but covered it by saying liked. "Also the fact that you were just more than happy to let him sit there and have a conversation like nothing was going on and basically forgetting that I was even there, I thought I may aswell leave. Kinda surprised you noticed actually."[/color] He snapped and then wished he hadn't. Darius pushed off of the wall and walked a few steps away from her. He wasn't leaving, he just needed to cool down abit. It sucked being a werewolf sometimes, it was alot harder controlling your emotions.[/blockquote]

Of course, like she thought, Mikayla wasn’t actually able to push Darius against the wall. But thankfully, he stopped and leaned against the wall without any effort so she was glad she caught up with him. Her happiness melted slowly however, as he answered her. He was definitely mad and she felt terrible about it…even more so when he called her out for what happened with Skylar in the past. [green]Well, ok yeah, Skylar and I used to be more than friends back during school. We were never in a relationship or anything but we did hook up occasionally. Happy? But that was then, we haven’t done anything like that in a really long time and we’re seriously just friends now…but the fact is that we’ve been friends for a really long time so I guess I’m just comfortable doing stuff like that around him. I don’t know if I can really change that.[/green] She said looking down at the floor. If he was going to be mad at her for how her friendship with Skylar was, she wasn’t even sure if this, whatever this was, was going to be able to continue.

[green]Of course I noticed you left but I really am sorry about the whole thing. I didn’t expect him to come over tonight but that was really important news and me being his best friend, he couldn’t exactly wait until morning to tell me…I would have been mad at him if he had actually. But I don’t know Darius…if this is how it’s going to be every time something goes wrong…I’m not sure how well this is gonna work out. [/green] She wouldn’t look at him as she said this. Mikayla really didn’t want whatever this was to end. Actually, she really wanted to try to make this official soon but they really hadn’t done anything but have sex since they started this relationship…hardly even talked…and they needed to talk about what was going to come from this relationship if they were going to be in one.

Ofcourse Darius knew she had had previous relationships, flings etc. He didn't think he was her first or anything and he wasn't annoyed that she had, in the past, been with Skylar and it was great that they were close friends, but would she really be happy if the situation was reversed. The only thing that pissed him off that she was comfortable to walk around naked in front of Skylar, and with Darius right there was well, not to mention that he had just been completely ignored and forgotten about. Ok, so the guy was getting married and yes he is going to to tell his best friend first, that's what you do, but the least she could have done was ask Skylar to step out the room while they got dressed. But she didn't. "Mikayla I'm not angry at the fact that you to used to date or fuck or what ever it is you two used to be. We've all got a past. What I'm annoyed at is the fact that you are happy to walk around naked in front of him with me there. It's disrespectful. I mean honestly would you be totally fine and comfortable if the situation was reversed? I mean if a old ex of mine just burst into the room, and then I walked around naked in front of her with you there, and then completely forgot about you or ignored you? You telling me that that would not piss you off or upset you?"

[/color] Asked Darius. He was still pissed, but he had got better control of his anger now. He was no longer snapping at her, but talking to her seriously now. If she said yes she would be totally fine with that, then she would be lieing. No sane person would be comfortable with that, regardless of how close they are.

This was the first time they had ever had a argument and she as talking as if he always did this. Was she trying to run to save herself from any pain? He knew she had been through alot and letting someone in to her heart again was going to be tough for her but relationships were hard work. It wasn't all sunsets and happiness. There would be conflictions, which kept the relationship alive. It proved that both had opinions and cared about one another enough to fight back. It was confusing but true. Darius inhaled and then placed his hands lightly on her shoulders, locking his gaze with hers. "Yes I understand you two are best friends and yes he should tell you straight away. But they way the situation was handled, I just felt like......"[/color] Darius paused, trying to think of the right word. He was going to be completely honest with Mikayla and he hoped she wold be totally honest with him. That was how it would work out between them. No lies or secrets. Ofcourse they would have some secrets, it added a little mystery to the whole thing, but hopefully he would find those out and she to. "Like I was just another fuck. That I didn't matter and you had lost interest. I'm not saying you should have asked him to leave but atleast ask him to leave the room so we could get dressed and then celebrate properly.[/color] Said Darius, hoping she would understand where he was coming from. He wasn't jealous of their past or anything. He just felt like he didn't matter and how awkward the situation was for him just a moment a go didn't matter.

Darius lightly stroked her cheek, looking into her brown eyes which he loved. "I really really like you Mikayla and I want to be with you, more than you know. But I just didn't think you were ready to be back in a relationship after everything that had happened. I wanted to give you time to be able to trust me enough not to hurt you, because that is something I would never do. I.......am falling for you Mikayla and I don't want to loose you. If you do want to be with me then great but if not, tell me now. You say that it not going to work if we have arguments and stuff, well baby unfortunately that comes with being in a relationship."[/color] he said with a slight smirk. It was clear he was no longer angry at her, not that much anyway. Hopefully she would understand how she had just made him feel, which he knew wasn't deliberate. She wasn't a heartless bitch, but hopefully now she would be a little more considerate when with Skylar and Darius. "But you make the relationship work. Every relationship has good and bad in them, nothing is perfect, nothing can be perfect. But I want a relationship with you that when it's good, it is amazing and when we argue, yeah it will suck but making up will be amazing aswell."[/color] He said with a boyish grin. "Don't run away from me Mikayla, just because we have hit a speed bump."[/color] Darius said, stepping closer to her.[/blockquote]

Mikayla thought about what Darius was saying carefully. How would she feel if the situation was reversed? She really wasn’t sure to be honest, she would probably get jealous, yes, but she would have at least made more of an effort to be part of the conversation that Darius did. She wasn’t ignoring him by any means since he wasn’t exactly saying anything to begin with, and she certainly hadnt forgotten about him…she was just slightly preoccupied by the situation and hand. She knew he was there, and as soon as Skylar had left she was going to go right back to what she had been doing. It wasn’t like Skylar was going to be there all night or anything. [green]Ok, I admit that I wouldn’t he particularly happy if you did that to me, but it wasn’t like I could exactly tell him to just go away or something…that would be rude. He wasn’t going to be there that long…I’m sure he would have only been there for a few more minutes. It’s not like he didn’t know what was going on before he showed up…[/green] She wasn’t looking at him right now for various reasons, mostly because she knew he was mad and she didn’t want to see the emotions in his eyes. So at the moment, she wasn’t looking anywhere in particular, at the floor, at her feet, anything really.

She was listening to him speak and finally looked up at him right before he stroked her cheek lightly. [green]I really like you too, I know you know that…I’ve liked you since all of those years ago. And I know you know what I’ve been through and you’ve been so amazing to me so far, not trying to pressure me into any sort of relationship since you knew I wasn’t ready for one. I really am sorry for what happened tonight and I will try to be more considerate. I didn’t realize you were feeling ignored at the time otherwise I would have tried to bring you into the conversation more or something. And I will work on the no nakedness in front of Skylar thing. You’re right, that probably isn’t very normal. [/green] She said with a sigh, looking down again for a moment before looking back up at him. [green]I know…I’ve always said that I’m not ready for anything serious with us…but…I think…if you think you can handle me and my great deal of emotional baggage…I think I might be ready. [/green] She said with a heavy sigh. It was hard for her to even admit that she might be ready to give her heart to someone else but she knew in her mind that she had already given her heart to Darius, whether she realized it at the time or not.

Darius was glad that she seemed to be understanding now as to why he was annoyed. He wasn't the possessive type. he wouldn't stop her from hanging out with her friends and what not, so that is why he felt the need to explain to her why he was annoyed. He may have been a little jealous, what straight guy wouldn't be, but he could handle their past. Everyone had baggage in some form or another and Skylar was a big part of her life and an important part aswell. So he was going to have to deal with seeing Skylar around alot. Darius may not like it but he could deal with it. Darius lightly caressed Mikayla's cheek, trying to reassure her he wasn't mad anymore. He could never stay mad at Mikayla for long, he didn't really know why, but it had always been that way. Back in school when they argued it would all be forgotten about within minutes. He was actually happy that they never seemed to stop talking for long.

His brows rose slightly as Mikayla spoke. She was admitting she might be ready for more than what they had now. Darius cupped her face and forced her to look up at him. His thumbs lightly brushed her cheeks as he spoke. "I can handle you and everything that comes along with you. What I can't handle is loosing you Mikayla."

[/color] Said Darius and then lightly kissed her lips. He pulled back a little and gave her a boyish grin. She should really be celebrating with Skylar rather than being with him at the moment. Darius stepped back and laced his fingers with hers. "Look go back and celebrate with Skylar. I'll come and pick you up tomorrow for dinner and you can fill me in."[/color] He said. Basically he was going to take her out on a date, and show her how a girl she be treated properly.[/blockquote]

Mikayla wasn’t sure how Darius was going to react to her telling him she was ready to be more than they were together. They had been…whatever they were for months and everything had been working out just fine so she wasn’t sure how she really felt about adding the title of relationship to the mix. Hopefully, everything stayed the way it had been and they continued to be as happy as they were. She looked up at his as he lifted her chin up and was actually a little bit surprised when he said he could handle everything about her. [green]I really hope you can…I’m…a lot more complicated than I was when you knew me back in school…I wouldn’t want to get involved with me…[/green] She said before his lips met with hers. It was true, she really was a mess of emotional baggage, but she knew that Darius wouldn’t hurt her.

Mikayla smiled as he told her to go back and celebrate with Skylar but she had to admit that a large nervous knot began forming in her stomach when he told her he would pick her up tomorrow for dinner. She hadnt been on a proper date in…years so she really hoped she didn’t screw anything up. [green]Um…ok then…I’ll be waiting for you tomorrow then. [/green] She said with a smile, hoping her nervousness wasn’t showing through. Standing on tip-toe, she kissed him goodnight before heading back towards her room.
