Dark Arts: Lesson 1

Soras looked over at Skylar sleeping away, she rolled out of his bed and kissed him on the forehead. She threw on her clothes that she brought with her before sneaking out of his room as not to wake him. She had over slept, normally she would have been long gone by now but she had fallen asleep and he hadn't woken her. She walked briskly still buttoning her over shirt as she turned a corner and found the steps to the dungeons. She walked down the steps and found the classroom quickly enough. As she walked in she saw Cayden and smiled. Going over to sit with him, she hugged him and said, Hello love. How are you this fine morning? She looked over at what they would be torturing today and got a little twinge of excitement. She hadn't tortured someone in a long time. Skylar had made her all mushy.
She turned her attention to the professor and waited for him to say something. It would be a fun day indeed.

Adonis cleared his throat to silence the class...he flicked his wand at the door making it shut with a loud bang and a click of the lock being moved to keep any students late from sneaking into class...sure he'd let them in if they knocked...but he wouldn't be nice at this point...He stood up and looked at the students in the class....Welcome students...today will be such a delightful lesson...as you can see we have visitors. He flicked his wand up at one of the cages and lifted off the ground and floated to the front of the room, Meet the prisoner Even Singaro...he was imprisoned by the Muggle police for several rapes...who would like to show me what you got and punish him for his crimes? He looked at the first person who entered the room, Shaylyn...making it clear that she was to rise to the challenge, Shaylyn your up dear.

Shay was so distracted by everything that was going on that she couldn’t say much more than a small I missed you too… to Cayden as he greeted her. She had missed him last night and really wished she had just stayed with him last night and just bared getting up so early in the morning. If she had done that, than the events of the night before wouldn’t have had a chance to happen and she wouldn’t have this horrible guilty feeling in the pit of her stomach. She didn’t notice much of what was going on around her, not really caring who had come in or anything, even giving Lisbet just a small nod when she greeted her and sat down next to her. Even though she was trying to act like everything was normal, she was sure she was acting very suspicious and Cayden was surely going to notice.

As Professor Stark began the lesson, she couldn’t help but jump as he shut the door with a bang. It wasn’t that it scared her necessarily; it was just that it was unexpected. What else was unexpected was him bringing up one of the people who were caged in the back to the front and explaining his crimes to the class. What was even more unexpected than that was that Shaylyn was called up to “punish him for him crimes” first. She stood, just because she was asked to, but as she looked into the eyes of the man in the cage, she couldn’t stop herself from tearing up in front of everyone. She couldn’t torture him, bad man or not…it just wasn’t the right thing to do and she couldn’t morally bring herself to do it. I…i…i…um…I can’t…do it. She managed to choke out in a nervous panic filled stutter before taking her seat again. She knew she was probably going to get a 0 for the day but if that was what she got for being a good person than so be it.
